- In this episode 6 on the $2K Budget Build HOTWHEELS Bedford / Holden Ratrod we make a Wooden truck bed for FREE using old Pallets. We burn in our logo into the back of the tray and then use the blow torch to emphasise the grain of the wood. The results are amazing and nearly unbelievable. All done using minimal hand tools and as stated wooden pallet. Taking this Tiny little truck one step closer to becoming a contender for a HOTWHEELS car.
Looks better and better every step of the way....awesome Rod!...
Thanks Steven, hopefully that trend continues 👍 😀
Around 45min videos are good.
Thanks for the feedback 😀
I agree 👍 💯
30-45 minute videos are excellent

That wooden tray turned out amazing ❤
Thanks, yes I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Thanks KC I'm hanging to see those panels on aswell but I'm holding out till motor and suspension work is done.

Tray turned out better than expected
45 minute videos!
Thanks for the feedback 😀
I agree around 45min are best 👌
Gona look mad when you fit the rear wheel tubs/guards, I'd leave the tray as is IMHO 😊
I'm hoping that the guards work and don't look out of place.
Yes your right the finish on the tray looks amazing once it dried, just 1 more coat needed as there is a couple tiny flat spots
💯👍👌
Thanks 😊
👌👍👍
Try white vinegar...used it on a old cut back cherry tree I stripped and de burred...looked great...
Instead of a oil? I'll remember that 1.
Worked a treat on the cherry tree..the truck looks amazing by the way..really has turned into a gorgous looking ride...cheers, steve, uk
@@StevenStratford thanks mate, yes I'll definitely give it a try on one of them
Looks Great
Thanks mate
The bed looks good, the bed sides a cool. Color is good. Reminds me of an aged wooden barrel, especially with the burned in logo. I've been thinking of opening the stake pockets in Lil' Red. Video length? I figure a 1/2hr TV show is about 23 min without the commercials, hour long shows are 46min or so. As long as they're around that it works. I like your stance idea, too.
Stake pockets?
I gotta say the color of the bed fits very good with the truck. It may or may not of been the right way, but it sure looks good!
Thanks mate 👍
I definitely vote for the longer videos. I really like hour videos. I dont watch regular TV I only watch UA-cam so the longer videos are best
Thanks for the feedback. I'm with you I don't watch regular TV either.

Happy Australia day, I'm with, you wake up Aussies unfortunately the US is going down hill as well. Take care brother keep up.the good work
Thanks mate 👍
Wood gurus " you must sand with multiple grits of paper ,allow days between coats , resand, dont mix products etc etc"
Copperhead " hold my beer 🍺 " gets a grinder, die grinder, blow torch 24 hrs later after multiple coats no sanding etc end result AMAZING.
Haha 😄 🤣 😂 😆
G'day from Brooksys channel!!
Hey mate, I've got to rewatch your vids on the triumph when I get time I'm thinking of getting mine back out and turning it into a ute
Hell yeah mate that tray is Mad!!
Thanks mate
@copperheadkustoms trying to catch up on the build!! Love the direction... huge fan of hot wheels also!!
Looks PHATT! Trays superb and the wheels are on point. 👍🇦🇺👌
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍
@@copperheadkustoms Videos are great length 45min to an hour is spot on.
@@karldownard7745 thanks mate appreciate the feedback 👍
I tried to do longer videos, hate the editing. 20 minutes is a push for me. It represents about 4 hours work. I have started using more time lapse.
Each of my videos is generally 1 week in the shed anywhere from 20 to 50 hrs of work and approx 15 to 20 hours of editing, I edit each night from when I come in till 9 to 10 o'clock. I hated editing at the start but once i purchased a dedicated computer for it and a decent edit programme I now enjoy it.
happy Australia day i like normal vids you make any way you make them ill watch any way lol keep up great work!
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍
Mate need to see how much for a panel from the Austin cab
The cab you sold me?
Length doesn't matter, if it's too long I can pause it and watch more later
Cheers 🍻 for the feedback
keep it satin
After seeing it the next day I agree 👍
My opinion 45 minutes give or take a few minutes.
Thanks for the feedback
