Most people don't know just how difficult it is at the lower level in a sport lime tennis just to complete. So, I take my hat off you for your determination and desire to keep chasing your dreams.

I’m not in UK, and I get lessons from a futures guy in same position.. this is a global story.. tennis is screwed in terms of pro-sports compared to NBA, EPL etc. This is why Kyrgios and the likes want the Saudis to come in and “LIVen” things up 😉

The vast majority of the costs are coaching, flights, and hotels. So you need to be making a lot more than that to be able to justify the lifestyle of a pro tennis player. Things have change a little bit since Noah made those statements, and I understand today that players in the top 200 will make around $US200,000, and if not, they will get "topped up" by the ATP, but that has only happened in the rare case of some players who were injured and using protected rankings. As Karue Sell said recently, that is only a handful of players. Players in the top 200 now will generally be able to make $US200,000. Now, that said, the minimum NFL salary is $US800,000; why don't the ATP make it the same for tennis players? There's a lot more I could go into here, but lets leave it there for now.

Tennis/LTA/Wimbledon is the most well funded sport/national body per capita in the UK by far, makes you wonder where all the money goes. Presumably there's a few people at the top that get everything funded and those that aren't maybe top 10/20 get absolutely nothing?

Tennis is such a difficult sport to make it from a financial perspective. So many really really good players never reach their full potential just because they can’t make it work. Enjoy the channel and wishing you the best.

Wimbledon seems to generate around £50 million in profit for the LTA every year. Why is that money for redistributed to help out British tennis players like yourself? Do they help you out at all?
