There were so many instances where you could’ve been looking for that shorter ball being a little bit inside the court to dictate on your terms but you played to his strengths and just engaged in these long rallies. Yes, rally when you need to but also apply pressure when you can, and over time by applying pressure and coming in it’ll make him uncomfortable and potentially come up with some errors. You’re more of a shot maker player, at least from my perspective, so take those opportunities when you can. That way when you hopefully make some rounds of tournaments you aren’t going to be dead in the ass from unnecessarily playing long matches because of hesitancy to move forward. Some food for thought. Nothing personal mate, keep grinding.. love the content.
totally agree. need to take more risk, doesnt move well enough to trade feom the back with guys like this. Has a great serve, if I was his coach I'd make 80% of practice, serve, serve +1 and all volleys. Hope he can have a great year though. Wish he'd drop singles and play dubs, has the perfect skills for dubs.
Totally agree. Waiting for the ball instead of stepping in gave your oppnent chance to recover. Take time away if you can (look at Australian Open how often they step in and close with a volley). I think that also suites your game style (you also improved your volley). Don´t take it personal. I love your content and want to see you succeed! Greetings from a german coach!
I think your ballstriking is amazing, but whats lacking to beat these types of players imo is that you rarely come to the net to finish the point. There were many instances where you moved your opponent well and he got back in the point with a high slice or slow high ball where you couldve moved into the net to take time away and finish the point. For example at 4:59 and 5:03 youve just hit a great deep ball forcing him out of the court and you stay on the baseline. I know you end up winning that point with another good forehand, but I think it would be very useful to come to the net more often. For example at 7:30 you do it very well. This can be the key to beating these type of opponents
My man, the only weapon of this guy was consitency, a player with your skills MUST smoke this guy off the court, you start playing his game, and of course he can play his game better, you didn't go on attack mode and let him play his only weapon everytime, soo i hope you learned NOW more than before💯👍
Hey mate, unlucky in your match as you had chances especially in the 2nd set. And your opponent looked like a nitemare to play as he got everything back heavy and hence forcing you to win points playing aggresive rather than him giving away cheap errors etc. Keep going mate as you will get your breakthrough👊 Glad to see you're cheering yourself up at the end with a coffee( I'd be doing the same😂) legend👊😂☕️
Hey mate, thank you, definitely felt like I had the chances He was consistent, had to be disciplined but aggressive. Hope you’re doing well. The coffee was on another level here, hope you’re enjoying the coffee where you are ☕️📈
Hi, iam sorry you lost😔 I also think you should be more aggressive because you have the weapons for it!!! Wish you all good for the next Matches!!!💪Wish you found your way to win this Matches and have much succes in the Future!!
You talked about not winning many matches lately and your confidence and your believe in the process is high. In psychology the research tells us the more you win the more likely you are you win in a future match. However, the same is also true for losing. The more you lose the more likely you are to lose in the future. Of course a player is unlikely to loos every match or win every match but winning creates a higher chance of winning again. Now you say of course that logical. but here is the psychological trick to get winning more so the brain starts to like the feeling of winning. Start with setting win goals you 100% can win and this could be as simple as walking faster to a certain point than another person (they are unaware its a competition) the brain doesn't care where the wins comes from as long as you tell it, that's a win. During a match you can have little wins ( you do this already for example, when deciding where to return a serve) within the overall big win the 'Match'. Doing this over time you build up a very natural winning mindset that is rooted in winning but another massive upside of learning to use this technique is that it builds a very high level of resilience to failure. It's resilience to failure during a match that allows a player to get their wins and ultimately match wins.
Yeah I really like this, tennis is a microcosm for your life so being more competitive in general is bound to help me on court. I used to play a lot of other sports competitively, it really helped consistently competing. Thank you for the comment really appreciate it, I will start to add in more competitive situations off the court
@seanplaystenis if your interested in having a chat about psychology and performance sometime I would only be happy to pass on tips. In case you're wondering what expertise I have, I am a performance and health psychologist, as well as a nutritionist and strength and conditioning specialist. Woukd be interested to chat as I have gotten really interested in this level of tennis.
Moved him around well Sean but found your bigger shots were a bit short. Also need to be moving in sooner as your opponent was quite predictable really.
I agree with most of the sentiments in the comments, here. You say not to force the issue, as that's when mistakes happen. But honestly, I feel that you do need to force the issue more, by moving in and taking time away. Beat him at YOUR game! Let him adapt to you! And not try to beat him at HIS game. For example, you've been working on your volleys, and you say you've improved in that area. So use them. Attack your opponent and finish at the net. Make him uncomfortable.
Great video! I don’t mean to sound negative, but eventually, don’t you think it might be time to be honest with yourself and consider stepping back from tennis? It might be worth focusing more on what you’ve mentioned before your business and your relationship. It seems like pursuing this tennis dream is causing you a lot of stress, and, to be honest, the results just aren’t there. Don’t get me wrong, I admire your positivity, but at some point, you’ve got to ask yourself if it’s worth the significant amount of money you’re investing without seeing the returns. Just some thoughts from someone who’s been following your journey for a while!

Really like your channel. I have played some on the tour and after watching you for awhile, you may want to consider going to a 2 handed backhand
Thank you 🙏 I don’t think I’ll be going to a two hander, my one hander is very strong and not really the issue why I’ve lost some matches
Nice improvements on content quality
Thank you, I’m learning 😂 it will get better

Was that your opponent’s baby crying in the background? No wonder he fought so hard. Gotta put food on the table 😂
😂😂😂 not sure who’s the baby was

@seanplaystenis all good here mate. And yup, always loving the coffee👍☕️☕️
When is your next tournament?
nice serving! and nice shape on your fh
Thank you! 🙏
You hit a lot of high loopers and the opponent is way behind the baseline, a perfect time to ghost in.
Yeah need to watch out for those and read the situation early
Incorporate the drop Shot, especially against spanish Players.

Hi! Thank you, I’ll do my best in the next matches and I’ll keep posting the videos on here 🙏 thank you for your support 📈
Maybe try a pure aero or ripstick, try and get more free power and spin

4 rackets for each match
This is one of those guys that is just ok with loosing…

Mmmmm… Spanish consistent player. Where have I heard that? That is almost an oxymoron…
