    I like seeing how much you guys appreciate the opportunity you were given to do this. The gratitude really comes through. Looks absolutely sick. Best of luck on the rest of the trip.

      Thank you, it’s such a good place and a great time. We were very lucky to go. It’s also just nice to be able to zone in and focus on tennis, I felt there were very few distractions there

    Holy crap mate. It's amazing the amount of physical work you guys have to put in to compete at futures level. Insane.
    And what an opportunity of a lifetime for you all. Glad to see you all reallyappreciate the opportunity as well.
    And seeing I'm a coffee monster like you, I'll have to get myself out to Bahrain to try the coffee😂😂😂
    Awesome video mate. Cant wait until the next one👍

      It’s mad isn’t it, just to keep up at this level requires a lot…
      Honestly the coffee was so good, had places like illy coffee in the hotel so we were pretty spoiled. It’s definitely a good place If you love your coffee mate
      Thank you 🙏💪 hope you’ve had a good Christmas

      @seanplaystenis Just goes to show, if you dont put the work in, you have zero chance of getting an ATP point let alone getting a top 1000 or higher ranking.
      I'm jealous mate. Illy coffee is awesome🤣🤣☕️
      My Xmas was ok. Just nice to relax. Glad you're enjoying the trip mate👊☕️☕️

    Hey awesome to see you do such a video in Bahrain! I live in Bahrain and I’m trying to make it professionally as a tennis player. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to play against a pro and see the skill difference. I would really appreciate if you could find time to play a match against me! Of course If you are still in Bahrain. You should hit me up I’ve been here 3 years I know my way around this place. Keep up the videos man! I’m just applying to go to college hopefully get a scholarship for tennis

    Hey great to see you away from the northern rain on such a nice trip but I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be training with your coach, wherever they are? Have I misunderstood how this works and your strategy. Again would love to know your ambition and strategy for next year. Just watched the next gen finals with Fonseca. Where does something like that sit with your game and career goals. Looking at Karu Sell at around the 300 mark he seems to have done well on the futures tour but barely broke even. How does this work for you and most players? Where do you see your level? As someone who is clearly so genuine and humble I wish you only the best.

    • @seanplaystenis
      @seanplaystenis  16 днів тому +2

      Hey, it was beautiful weather, so lucky. I don’t travel with a coach purely because they are expensive, paying probably over £250 a day plus a day plus expenses, I just wouldn’t have the funds to do that. Not many players do. I have had some very good coaching in the past however and while a group of players like us is out there we all help each other. In 2023 when I had some funding/ played a lot of matches I was beating players around 350/400 atp, I think that I can be around there with a lot of hard work plenty of matches/sticking to what I’m working on. But it’s all skeptical as you have to be very consistent to reach that ranking, it isn’t just about beating guys at that ranking. But I’m doing my best so we’ll see how far I get

    I’ve just started watching your videos and really enjoying them. Just trying to understand what is the actual end goal? Because I’ve noticed you mainly fund yourself, so surely the money is going to run out and there must become a point where your going have to say be honest with yourself. Just super interested on your outlook on this, don’t want it to come across negative. Cheers

    • @seanplaystenis
      @seanplaystenis  16 днів тому

      Thank you for being honest, appreciate it, my goal is to play professional tennis, I’m a professional player, I’ve been 1071 atp. It’s just difficult with money, Costs a lot to travel etc

    Looks great out there. Good pre-season training. Are you all following some pre setout training programme while in Bahrain? Your fitness looks good and you ran a fast 10k after a days tennis. Was that your normal time for a 10k. Do you mostly run 5k s when your training at home or during the season?

    • @seanplaystenis
      @seanplaystenis  16 днів тому +1

      It was awesome, I have a plan of everything I was doing on court, a lot of fitness and movement based drills. Of court was alot of cardio based intervals and longer distance

      I am always very interested in what elite athletes do in their preparation. I started following a few players at this level and am amazed at how difficult it is to get any traction in terms of ATP and WTA points. As a performance psychologist, It very interesting to watch and listen to players like you on this journey.
      On that if your interested in having a chat with a psychologist reach out and we can arrange to have a chat. I might have some useful insights. I would also be interested to learn how you feel psychology plays a part or not in match performance.
