    As a roadtrip doc I think this is great but would love to know a bit more about your tennis game. Do you see the same players at events, rivalry, what does your coach say and is there a ceiling on your ambition. I’m assuming that you’re not 6’5 but is there something about your game that gives you an idea of how far you can go? What’s your long term strategy? Being a pro? What was your tennis backstory? Great to hear about the looser forehand and makes total sense but it would be great to hear more about the tennis. You seem to have a super nice vibe so wish you only the best.

      Thank you 🙏 I totally agree. I think that’s something I want to go more in depth in my next videos, my game my goals etc and get my coach involved with it also. These are all great ideas, thank you for sharing them with me, it’s given me some great inspiration for what I’m going to share next

    That statistic about "70% of points are under 4 shots" is, unfortunately, very misleading for younger players in terms of training implications.
    Obviously, that number is an average. So, about half the points in any match will, therefore, be longer than 4 shots. Also, half of all matches will have average point lengths longer than 4.
    Secondly, playing style changes things as well. A counterpunching style player will have longer average rally lengths than a Federer-style shot maker. 2 counterpunchers playing each other will result in matches with average rally lengths much greater than 4 shots (2017 Doha final Murray vs. Djokovic as an example).
    Finally, the average length of points tells us nothing about the length of points in critical moments of a match. It's possible that quite a few match outcomes could hinge upon outlasting an opponent in tense moments.
    The best players in the world have trained to handle any rally length. Best of luck in your pro tennis journey.

    Forehand looking better after your adjustments. In addition to lengthening your stroke, consider trying to keeping the ball on the strings longer a la Federer.
    Other commentators have mentioned (and for what it’s worth, I agree) the need to use adjustment steps to create space between your body and the ball as you seem to hit the ball head on / in front of you rather than away and more to the side of your body (but still in front) as you sometimes look a bit cramped on the forehand side - you split step and turn but could do with some adjustment steps at times. Just my two cents.
    Enjoying the videos. Keep at it!

    • @seanplaystenis
      @seanplaystenis  2 місяці тому

      Thank you for your feedback, I agree, forehand can looked cramped at times and definitely needs quicker/more accurate footwork to get in position and get the forehand to the side. I find it very natural to do this on my backhand side
