Can I suggest you try out Laser Map Maker? It takes all the hassle out of the map-making process

I've meant to make a couple of these maps, but both locations I chose were really boring places with no water or interesting attributes lol

Needs to be Veg tanned leather for lasering. Otherwise it will release toxic fumes.

You need to buy yourself some saddlers clams and wax to make your life easier and your final finish better.

For your room name tag you can cut all 3 parts from the same piece of wood and the Laser kerf is so small the fit together great. You can color each and fit them on a backer piece, it does save wood doing that.

That looks like a really cool laser. I like the design and the POWER! EDIT: But I just saw the price! I could get a nice CO2 laser for half that price! They can GIVE me one to try to change my mind. But for that money, I'd get a CO2.
