This is why I really like the challenges. Finding channels that I other wise would not have found. A couple of little beauties there mate. Proper job!
Couldn’t agree more. I also really enjoy finding new creators etc. Thank you so much for watching.
Great looking boxes mate!
Cheers mate. Thanks for watching. I am happy with how they turned out. Just waiting on some photos of the boxes with the coins in them to share haha
They come up a treat mate, bloody spotted gum, I only have to look at the shit and I get a splinter 😂😂😂. Beautiful boxes mate and the finish is awesome well done 👍
Cheers Dave. Thanks for watching. And yes, I’ve had some pretty bad splinters!
cool looking boxes Dan! absolutely nailed it, especially the barrel hinges! I had literal nightmares installing them, do a video on installing them!
Not a bad idea. Thanks for watching mate. I really appreciate your support.
HI Dan what a great pair of boxes out of reclaimed spotted gum i haven't heard of the jell and the dust to make putty i only use glue i will get some thanks for sharing the boxes hope you had fun making them keep up the good work cheers dassh
Thanks Daniel. Thank you for putting on the challenge. I really enjoyed making them.
Nice solid boxes for your gold sovereigns. 😀🦘
Thanks mate haha
Great video mate. The boxes look awesome.
Really appreciate you’re encouragement mate. Thanks for watching
They look good mate. Love the finish
Thank you!
They look great, spotted gum is so beautiful when polished up, just such a pain to work with with the cracks and splits. 👍
I appreciate your kind words Mario. Yes I agree. Also spotted gum is quite hard on the blades but I love it haha. As my local reclamation yard they have spotted gum and silky oak so I tend to go with one of those. Thanks Mario.
Supercool! I was wondering where you got those cool inserts. You made the barrel hinge installation look easy, I've heard they can be tricky buggers to get right.
Hey mate are you talking about the foam inserts? Look for Stevescnc on instagram. We has made a CNC like contraption (almost like one of those Cricut machines) that drag a blade over foam and cut it out. Cheers mate
