Life in OAXACA CITY, MEXICO: Meeting my internet BFF in real life + adjusting to life in real Mexico
@KeishaBeTraveling I’m on a 3-month adventure in Mexico. I met another Black woman on Tik Tok, months ago, who has been living in Oaxaca City. I linked up for the first time and she and her Mexican husband took me to experience Oaxaca City like a local.
I also provide restaurant recommendations and rated some of the best dishes I have in Oaxaca.
I go to a pool party with my housemate from my co-living with one of the best view in Oaxaca.
I joined a local gym and sweat it out. Come see what looks like inside.
I also explore the most Instagrammable street in Oaxaca.
I also say the word HOT a lot in this video because Oaxaca was blasting HOT and the sun almost took me out. Let me know how many times you count.

    Hey Keisha! Great video as always! I'm urging you to please drink lots of water...3-4 L per day if you are working out and exposed to such hot weather and high elevation. Carry a water bottle with you and keep drinking! The water going out of you should look like the water going into you...(if you get what I mean...I'm trying not to be graphic). You won't have any more dehydration headaches if you do that! Also, I tried to find Adrienne's TikTok vlog & couldn't find it!

      @@valm.5243 Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for all the suggestions about the water. I was definitely losing a lot of water through sweating and the heat. Yes, at some point I'll make a more detailed video on TikTok. People on TikTok can just be super ignorant and mean. I feel you on the TikTok hate. I have certain words blocked so I don't have to deal with people. I also don't really read comments. My page is not growing, but I want to connect with as many like-minded folks as I can. To be fair, TT is a lot of children learning about the world and judging people according to the new ideologies they just learned about without any real life experience. Also, my partner loves the heat, but suffers a lot like you. She burns easily and gets dehydrated quickly. She drinks the Electrolit's and says they work really well for dehydration.

    • @KeishaBeTraveling
      @KeishaBeTraveling 2 дні тому

      The TikTok streets are vicious. I blocked out certain words too. That is such a great feature that I appreciated and I am glad you are doing the same to preserve your sanity. You definitely raised a good point. I was always appalled by the level of ignorance on there but a lot of it might have been coming from children who just don't have lots of life experiences and are typing just to type. Thanks for the Electrolit suggestion. I’m so glad she found something that helps because this MX sun is so intense. I honestly forgot about Electrolit. I need to make sure I keep a few bottles in my fridge. I just felt like I was permanently dehydrated lol

Thank you for taking us along.

    • @KeishaBeTraveling

      Thank you! I’m so glad you liked it. Yes, it is def historic. It reminded me of the historical center in Merida. The walking tour was amazing and helped me to see some much of Centro. The co-living was amazing. I met some amazing people there who will show up in my next 3 vlogs. Oaxaca was not on my list, I ended up going there because: 1. My Uber driver told me to go there in this vlog from Mexico City: ua-cam.com/video/EYOt-JOuG3g/v-deo.html 2. I met a friend in Merida, Cristina, from my 3rd Merida Vlog, and she told me about Outsite. I had a horrible Airbnb experience in Mexico City so I decided I would just go to places that had this Coliving for the rest of the trip. I stayed for two weeks in Oaxaca City. I was hearing a lot about the water crisis when I was there. It was extremely dry and hadn’t rained in months. Usually they bring trucks with water into the touristy areas but I know locals are dealing with the crisis. The food in Oaxaca was amazing. I’ll share some more of the food in the next Vlog.
