  • ‪@KeishaBeTraveling‬ I am on a 3-month journey through Mexico. In this episode, I am in Mexico City. I visited Chapultepec Castle, Chapultepec Park, and the Botanical Gardens 💐🌷🌹🌸🌺 in Mexico City. The 3 sites are located super close to each other so it is easy to visit all 3 in one day, even though the park is huge. This castle is the only castle in North America that was home to emperors and royalty. I will show you the inside of the castle as well as what I think is the best part, the courtyards.
I try out some local food at the park. Come see what I taught of it and provide a restaurant recommendation at the end.
I only planned the first 6 weeks of my trip and had no idea where I would go after Mexico City. I had a very helpful conversation with my uber driver that help me to decide which city to go to after Mexico City. I actually took his advice and went there for 2 weeks which you'll see in future vlogs.

That castle is humongous. It was definitely a hike to get there but so worth it. That greenery is so lush and beautiful.

You really had to hike to get up there but the view was definitely worth it. Yes I was so impressed by the greenery in Mexico City.

Spending time in Chapultepec Park is one of my favorite things to do in CDMX. There's a lot more to the park than what you saw on the trolley. You were only in section 1, however there are 3 sections to the park.

It’s such a beautiful park. I’m so glad you get to enjoy it. I went back another day to lay out and picnic but I am sure I still am missing like 2-3 of the other sections. I can see why you love it ❤

Love this!!! You are gorgeous. Glad you are enjoying yourself. Sorry you didn’t enjoy that one meal lol. How is the dating scene there?

Thank you love 😊😊 Yes, Mexico City was a blast. Yes, that one meal was not it. I was struggling to find tasty food my first 2 weeks and then I found the good spots. I didn’t explore the dating scene in CDMX. In terms of Playa, it’s a very transient city with people passing through anywhere from one week to 3 months so the dating scene there is very casual.

Where/how did you learn to Speak Spanish so well? Also, how did you learn to understand it so well?

The short version is I studied abroad in Spain for 9 months. I did a program that didn't allow me to speak English and I stuck to the rules and didn't speak English for a year. I lived with a family who didn't speak English. I basically just lived my life in Spanish and avoided any interactions with English speakers haha Then I didn't use my Spanish for 14 years after. Now I am back in Mexico improving but I'm using a similar method. I spend most of my time in spaces where Spanish is spoken and avoid the English bubble.
