Good stuff
👍👍 Great job Chris.. Keep it going..
I'm getting a 550 and I'm going to need help wiring it up
What year are the cases & are the new 17 plus years the same way ??
Nice work Chris! I’m glad you kept going and appreciate the video update.
My GSXR 1000R engine was tested for degrees and on the dyno one of the top valves broke. What could have caused this breakage to my bike?
Over rev, inadequate valve spring pressure, incorrect valve timing, piston to valve clearance, valve float and spit a shim......any or all.of the above
@ Ok that means they gave the cam timing more percent than it was due
Hey I think the page is great and like how you deal with things . Old school bar bike racer in the 80-90s now get back into racing and going grudge style not fancy motor stock and learning this no bar stuff first . And you have helped me and answered questions thanks so much Bikecrazze from Canada
@@MikeCharron-o3z thanks man! I try!

Hello, my friend. I’m reaching out to you from Turkey. I own a GSX-R 1000 K7 motorcycle. My cylinder head is in bad condition. The titanium valves are stretching and losing compression. I want to install APE brand steel valves. If I install the steel valves, do I also need to get APE brand valve springs and retainers? Since APE springs are stiffer, could they damage the valve seats? What would you recommend?
Nice video and explanations mate.
Thanks for the useful videos! Have you compared the oil pump rotors by size with the 09-16 and 17+ GSX-R's?
Is that a 16 over swingarm you running??
About that much yes.
If I just do the high pressure relief valve and keep oil cooler without drilling out the restrictor will it have enough oil pressure to survive some 1/8 mile drags???
You'll be ok with that
Want to build a motor for me for a supercharged Gen 2 Busa this winter?!! Love the channel….
I’m doing this same thing on a 06 gsxr1000. Will I be dropping the cams in the same way?
Great video do you still have the fuel tech. Im looking at stand alone and as much as i keep looking. I keep going back to an ft550 or ft600
@@artemromaliysky4126 I do still have the FT....STILL LOVE IT!
@tpsfab have you used the delay box. I braket race and that would be a great feature
Bought an ft 550 the other day@@tpsfab
Thinking about going to a total loos system like you have with either Rc batteries or attempting to keep my antigravity. Would really enjoy a video diving in to that more. Still looking to have a streetable bike but getting tired of the charging issues. Love your videos! Keep up the good work man!
Great video, highly considering a Maxx Race for my Gen 2 Hayabusa Supercharger build and going with Boost by Smith for wiring and purchase of the standalone. Seems he builds them to suit and enough wire to hide everything as he builds them on an actual bike/bench for each bike. Super knowledgeable guy as well…
Could i drill out that oil restriction plug with the motor still in the bike if im careful and use a vacuum over the oil filter hole and spray it out good with brake cleaner??
@@Mikes-q9h definitely not recommend
Want to build me a motor for my Gen 2 Hayabusa?
Hi, help me, which pump is bigger?
Thank you thank you thank you, sir
What size bit did you say?
@@PublicEnemy044 5/16.....ish....long as it fits the outer bore size...You're good.
@@tpsfab thank you sir I’m in the middle of that right now because of block offs/ spun bearings
This is supposed to be where to install an oil temperature sensor on an HD M8
What is your technique for checking steels for flatness ? Thank you for the videos !!!
Thanks for this and the paint is beautiful. gonna try that paint.
R1 wheels on your bike?

@@tpsfab I have a 02 GIXXER 1000 was wondering if you can point me in the right direction on what I need to get for the swap. If possible thanks
One of the best explanations of how a hand slider works on UA-cam!
U running t4 oil I thought I saw some rotella jugs in the shop
Local store had a buy 1 get 1, 40% off soo ill use that in the superduke and drz
Would be cool to swap an L7 GSX-R1000 motor in there and do an all motor build and keep the bike light. Like the one David Fondon rides in Real Street. 7.42 is nuts lol.
My son runs 08 suzi 1000 and we r always working on clutch 10 to 15 passes it requires lots of new plates. i laugh every time i look at it. It looks like it is out of a RM 125 dirt bike. I run a gen 2 Busa put 50 passes on it ,still looks new, Clutch is about 1 1/2 the size of the 1000 plates
👍Nothing better than building your own stuff and seeing it go down the track after.
Gonna be awesome to see the new journey.....should be some great content doing the swap. I know there's plenty of billet oil filter fan boys and you're one of them 😊 but I would advise in ditching it and run stock, emgo or wix filters and buy yourself an oil filter cutter to check pleats. Also be cautious on the oil you're using with alcohol. HPL for the win..... you'll thank me later 😉
What rc batteries are you using. I remember you had a video talking about the rc batteries. Can't remember which video it was. I have no charging system and it's hard on regular batteries. Even anti gravity batteries. I'm going to go with your setup
I think the vid is called..."I really did just start my bike with RC batteries"
@tpsfab if not what kind are you using. I believe it's two together correct.
@tpsfab you are correct. Found it. Thank you for the time and info you put it out.
@@tpsfab how did you hook them up. Do you have 2 plugs that go into one.
@@uberdriver5711 yup
Do you have contact info., email I'd like to pick your brain about MTC gen 2 clutch. Thanks
i use the yana shiki fibers from amazon and love them. I run 2004 stock 1000 . 9;54 144 mph very consistant. 18 passes so far and zero issues. Haven't even looked at the fibers yet. No grabbing or stupid launch issues. I hand slide the clutch out real hard 1.51 short times and so far they hold up nicely.
What is the secret or technique to get inch perfect parking in the Big White Dodge?!?
Measure 3 times!
Greetings, my experience with e-bay clutch fibers on my stock motor GSXR1000K5 is they expand as they heat up. This causes slack through clutch cable, ect. They grab very well, but they're not worth all the trouble of always having to adjust out the slack, or loosening the cable when they cool down. It drove me bananas, no more e-bay clutches for me.
So what should my stack thickness be?
MTC Give the recommendation in the instructions, then you can change it a little bit either way depending on what the clutch is doin or what you want it to do. These no magic number for all
where did you get that engine stand?
It's from Dogwood Racing
Thanks for sharing man. At least went up there and came back in 1 piece. Always a win in my book.
