Dude, you should adjust your title before you get sued. The Pro has bump stops they are clearly visible in ccn review of the truck. If you are specifically talking about the front of the truck or a specific model you should make that clear.

I have a theory. Toyota was always good at building slow reliable off-road “capable” vehicles but once they wanted to start competing with the big boys when it comes to having some peppy engines, they start having issues. Just my $0.02.

I think Toyota engineers are all about profit instead of quality now but it’s all about saving pennies on every model of a Toyota to maximize profit but I bet you in the near future some aftermarket company will make a bump stop for it just saying

I deleted the front bump stops on my 1991 Toyota Pickup when I lowered it. Same results 😢

My opinion is, 14+ owners of the tacoma they went beyond the limits of what it was designed for that means it’s not a sports car. It’s a truck.

Toyota is going down the cliff after sitting on the top for quite some time. using cheap metals lousy interiors with low design, by the time passing it gets farther and farther from its tenets and heritage , and it goes without saying, their prices is skyrocketing

A tacoma breaking off road is nothing new. Dirt roads at best for stock. Even that can be challenging.

I mean it was only $70k they had to cut cost somewhere!

Choice between One or Two bumpstop(s) seems dictated by packaging constraints. One stop if central location is available, if not two stops distribute load onto both sides of the arm.

Its weird. Being in Australia and seeing so many LC300 on the road, I still dont understand why the US cant get them. They sell so well here that there are 12 month waiting times. Also the GR sport variant looks fantastic. Turns a lot of heads and has a much better presence then the Lexus 600

A lot of the older stuff that actually works Toyota still has in production. 79 series Land Cruiser is the best example of a tough truck still in production.

I seem to recall the Tacoma engeer talking about it in Phoenix when they brought all the UA-cam rs and care review people. I'll have to look for the video if it has not been removed.

Could this be why the 4runner is delayed?

Maybe that is the reason Toyota has delayed the release of the 6th gen 4runner. 🤔 Maybe they are already aware of this design issue. That is just incredibly stupid to intentionally delete the bump stop knowing how these truck are used off road.
