*Toyota's suppliers include: Denso, Futaba, Yamaha, Aisin, Panasonic, MitsubOshi, Maruko, Ichiko, IHI, Idemitsu, KYB, Tokico... they all still supply "New Toyota"*
*Anecdotal: Our 1995 Camry at 300k worked perfectly. At 300k it had the original Denso starter, Denso Alterntor, Denso AC compressor that blew ice cold... everything worked. The OEM clutch (manual transmission) wore out at 300k. We only sold it cause we outgrew it. The Denso/Aisin power steering pump worked... all components like the brake master cylinder, slave cylinder, blower motors... everything worked.*
*We only did the timing belt every 60k and changed the Aisin water pump "while we were in there" each time. The water pump never leaked. We never changed the Denso sparkplugs, ignition coils, etc... all passed stringent CA SMOG testing. The OEM Panasonic 12v battery lasted 10 years. We changed the oil on that Yamaha designed 5SFE engine every 12k or 1.5 years... whatever came last 😅... with regular oil... it NEVER had a drop of synthetic in it.*
*The Aisin transmissions fluid was never touched... differential fluid untouched... The Aisin 5 speed manual transmission shifted perfectly... The Denso/Aisin fuel-pump was oem never gave out...the list goes on... same suppliers are in "new Toyotas" right now* ❤
*Additional Toyotas suppliers include: Denso, Futaba, Yamaha, Aisin, Panasonic, MitsubOshi, Maruko, Ichiko, IHI, Idemitsu, KYB, Tokico... they all still supply "New Toyota"*

@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD Toyota went from last to first because American companies aren't concerned with reliability. Americans are greedy and just want to build cheap crap. This is why no Chevy, Dodge, or Ford truck will ever be built anywhere near as well as a Toyota. The "big 3" just have a completely different mindset and different goals. They "want" you to buy 3 trucks in the next 15 years, instead of 1 like Toyota. This is why my Toyotas and Lexus are still more economical even though they cost more up front, because they don't break down and they last longer.

This is their first Toyota next generation transition. Last time Toyota had a transition into a new generation of vehicles. My Lexus reminds of my Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Everything is made in Japan. When I sold my old 05 GSXR at with 50K on it. It never burned a drop of oil. Nothing failed throughout the life of it besides batteries. My 16 Lexus IS 300 when sold. The same. Never burned a drop of oil when sold with 99K. Batteries brakes and yes it does eat tire's. That's why I recently purchased a 24 IS 350. Reliability is most important to me. Small improvements is the way to go

I don't understand your point. Yamaha designed the old engines and they designed the new engine, and therefore the same? No one is arguing about the design. The problems are in manufacturing. Just because the vendor is the same, doesn't equate to quality. I think the point people are making is that QC in manufacturing at 'TOYOTA' has dropped.

Shortsighted as always. People already FORGOT the thousands of 4.6L and 5.7 recalls of the past.. along with the various other "QC" related recalls of the past. The masses are short sighted and lack contextual intelligence. Conbine this with an insatiable affinity for impulse-based fear-mongetong... This has all been done before in Toyota's history... people forgot... like back then they'll fix the bugs 😉

Im a gx owner, and honestly i picked a v8 gx over the new 550 or the new landcruiser simply because of the issues the new v6s have. Toyota can stumble. They are currently making a poor decision to try to balance emissions with reliability. It should always be reliability first.

3 previous used Camry's starting in 1991. Minor problems with all of them except my 2007 which I put new rings in over a weekend. Still kind of minor for me because we could still work on cars without dealer involvement back then. It had just over 30k miles when I bought it cheap because oil burning. I didn't know Toyota made a bad engine back then. All three of them went went over 200k miles before replacing them. Then come my new 2020. It was the biggest piece of junk of any new car I've ever owned. Not much of anything worked right. 8-speed transmission junk. Engine smelled like hot antifreeze. Speedometer problems. Gas gauge problems. Cruise control problems. Car slammed on the brakes on the highway for no reason. I thought it was a lemon and tried to return it. I should have stood my ground. I dumped the most annoying car I've ever owned before its second oil change and Toyota's attitude towards all the problems with that car ruined a 30 year trust of their products. By saying new Toyota's is just as good as the old ones is very misleading. If you added up all the complaints from the 90's t0 2017 it didn't come close to the complaints in just 2018 alone. Toyota knew they put out tens of thousands of bad 2.5's and left it up to the customer to find. That was after putting the pistons in the same engine. Some of the companies you listed are owned by Toyota so by saying they just put on the parts they are given is also misleading. They are Toyota made parts.

@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD I'd be happy if it were a lemon. Toyota must have put out multi thousands of those lemons after looking up the problems that kept popping up every month. I'm disappointed with Toyota's attitude if it were a lemon. Saying all the problems with the car is normal for the 2018 and up isn't a fix. A dealer mechanic told me there were lots of complaints and he wouldn't be buying one until the problems are worked out. Evidently, the two years I waited wasn't enough. the cars got worse after knowingly putting in bad engines. Again. Toyota didn't do a recall to inspect the engines, they left it up for the customers to find the problem. Like they're doing the Tundra's. The new Tacoma's made in Mexico has the same 8-speed transmission Toyota had to sued over to do something about. Toyota used to test to the end to find the problems. Toyota become a true American made car by putting out junk to let the service bulletins fix over time.
