Geoff Castellucci - Vocal Range
Geoff Catellucci Vocal Range (Bb0 - Bb5) - featuring various recordings from Voiceplay, Solo work, 42Five and more, spanning 2009 - 2023.
Oh hey I’m back
Only took me 3 years to make this video, but felt like it was needed due to the massive influx of STUFF from Geoff in recent years and the lack of any update videos on his range as of late
Questionable Notes:
E5 - Bro Country Live - probably just a random unintentional pitch
X1 - Random growl slides - non-melodic, brief, unintentional pitches not worth counting
A0 - Enemy slide - i debated this one for a while but decided its final pitch was likely unintentional and too brief to count. I did count this in my Bass Singers Lowest & Highest Part 2 video, but that was because that video was made with the purpose of showing the extremes of people’s range. This video is (hopefully) showcasing good quality notes that he is capable of. Also i make up the rules as I go along
X0 - shitty fry shit - don’t even need to explain why this isn’t included
Chest/Falsetto/Head/Mixed Voice - some of these are likely marked incorrectly in this video - soz. I’m not too good with technique in the upper voice so some chest notes might be head voice or whatever that means. Tried to be as accurate as possible, sorry if some are wrong
I try to make these vocal range videos with variety in mind - showcasing a range of clips from lives, off mics, studio, different techniques and older videos, to showcase what someone’s voice can really do. If there’s a clip you were expecting to see and didn’t, it likely got cut in the name of variety (or I just didn’t like it as much as some others). Choosing only a handful of clips for each note is quite difficult when there’s like 20 good ones)
All videos and images belong to their respective owners, I own nothing in this video.

Don’t expect any more videos any time soon

Yeah just a bit of a shithouse video showcasing some random low notes I’ve collected over the past few months. Not necessarily from any genre/singer/group/whatever. Not really a very remarkable video in all honesty. Most singers aren’t basses, but needed something quick n easy to come back with while researching other singers. Not expecting big views or anything for this. Some notable fun voice...

Oktavism & Basso Profundo Compilation | C2 - C1 | Part 2
Переглядів 133 тис.3 роки тому
“Simply put, the term oktavist is most precisely used to refer to basses that sing down to contra B flat and lower in a choral setting. Basso profundo is Italian in origin, and has a long history of clear definition within the operatic tradition, being subdivided into the categories of lyric and dramatic. While the term basso profundo comes from Italy and the opera tradition, oktavist has its r...
Jeff Chapman - Vocal Range

“Jeff Chapman is a long-time southern gospel singer, formerly singing bass for the Anchormen, and currently for the Kingdom Heirs. He manages to maintain a very chesty sound throughout his entire range, even down into the lower first octave. His higher range, while not utilised terribly often, manages never to sound strained, but instead retains the same power he uses to project the lower part ...

Taken from Oktvism.com: “Mikhail (Motja Moiseevich) Zlatopolsky (1934-2001) was born to a Jewish family in Tashkent. After the Revolution, when the Orthodox singing moved into the category of marginal employment, the number of oktavists sharply declined. Soviet oktavists enjoyed intense demand: during the Brezhnev era, Moscow choirs outbid each other for Zlatopolsky as the star player. Zlatopol...

I wouldn't call Johnny Cash a bass, but I think he's similar.
💜🦘
Pasjukov is a Bb1 not a B1
last one was inhaling, right?
@@drober yes
honestly I respect flowdan, he's got a pretty low voice when he wants to naturally but to rap at that speed and maintain a good cut (I imagine even before it went through mixing and processing and very likely auto tune to keep it at the pitch) at C#2 is really difficult to do, I've tried doing it in morning voice and im a bass and it's really difficult

Josh turners highest note was head voice, if youre gonna count it for him you should count head v0ice/fallsetto for the rest
@@distinguishedtoad yes there is a lot of head voice and falsetto in this video
7:20 SO CLEAN 🤩🤩
Love how you say 5 octaves but leave in "without challenging myself" too.
1:03 1:20 1:40 1:49 etc. these are very clearly not chest voice. A bass simply cannot sing it that softly. Don't underestimate how good falsetto/head voice can sound 4:06 Now this one does sound like very nasal, extra compressed chest voice 4:24 notice the voice crack on the second "the Oogie Boogie". That is Geoff going from mixed voice/head voice back into chest voice without masking it. Note, that it means that he sings the first *B3* in "*THE* oogie boogie man" in falsetto, and then switches to chest voice for the B3 "Oogie". Don't underestimate mixed voice/head voice/falsetto and how low it can go
well its all about the placement of the notes and how comfortable he is singing them, and its safe to say that these notes arent too hard for him. his head voice has a pretty similar sound to what u referenced, but his falsetto is pretty different. the mixed note im sure is mixed, as most notes for geoff above an A4 are 9 times out of 10 mixed. for oogie boogie, while the top note is mixed, he did not mix the B3 but he just added an intentional voice crack, as that was the choice he made in the song to help tell a story.
Владимир Пасюков поражает воображение. Царство ему небесное и Вечная память🙏
