I like to prove that every principle of the gospel is eternal. I don't like how you mentioned "modernity", "for our day", "since 1833". And using using Alma 40:4. There is a much stronger explanation. Find something eternal about it and tie it in with the plan of salvation. The principle of stewardship has been around since the beginning of time. God gave Adam stewardship over the whole earth. That stewardship included taking care of his body. Heavenly Father send me here to earth to fulfill a mission. What that mission is, i do not know, but here is what i do know. If i don't take care of my body, i won't live long enough to complete that mission. I choose to take care of my body because i desire to do all that God asks of me here on earth. I want to give him a long time horizon to work with.

I cant eat gluten since I got my autoimmune disease. Our bodies can't always process it because it's not working properly. Our body can handle some anti-nutrients but not a ton. There are a lot of processes that you can do to unlock the nutrients in the food that we eat. The only food that is completely unlocked is from animals. That is why certain people can only eat animal food their body cannot process the antinutrients. There are ways to process grains to make it safer and to make it so you can digest it. Most of them are pretty simple but sourdough is a great one. Corn is a really big one that if you eat a lot of corn your going to get really sick and get pulagra which just means you have a niacin deficiency. The only people that process corn correctly is Mexico that I know of. You eat that cornmeal and you'll get tons of niacin. If the food you eat looks the same on the other side. You need to process it accordingly so you can get those nutrients otherwise you're not going to digest it. We should all be eating a Weston A price diet now a days. It will help you get the maximum nutrients and heal faster. :) Now a days our body is so damaged we need all the help we can get. Hopefully RFK fixes our food system. That will make the biggest impact.

Faith works miracles not claims to ordained power from God and there aren't any of those happening in the church. I was in the temple in Hawaii many years ago. A crippled member approached Monson in a wheelchair and Monson went into panic under control trying not to show it. The multiple sclerosis sick man saw this look on his face and actually quelled his panic attack by reassuring the great apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ that he was not expecting him to heal him but had faith that it would happen some day. Monson was looking at me in great fear and embarrassment so I looked away so he would not loose face. Both of us covered and helped him escape humiliation. I had a similar experience with the great prophet Kimball in the foyer of the first presidents office. They claim great power from God when they want you to obey them and follow them but not when someone needs healing as Jesus or his apostles would have done without hesitation.

How would one join the LDS?

Honestly, I'd trade the Book of Mormon for a combo meal from Taco Bell. I'd feel guilty for accepting the Taco Bell without giving anything of value in return.

Michelle Stone did an episode on Joseph Smith's involvement with the Masonic lodge in Nauvoo that was quite good. I was hoping she could prove that he didn't have anything to do with it, knowing what I know about the Masons today, but that was not the case. But it did give me the resources needed to dig deeper and the information to take to God for clarification and an answer that was needful for me. I appreciate Michelle having people on her podcast that have different views and opinions. This is how prophets & apostles are chosen, & how we can be chosen to represent Him in any capacity. How could He choose His servants and representatives any other way? Or they might pollute His name instead of represent Him honorably. Being tried and tested is part of the being chosen process.

Guys... The interviews on this channel continue to floor me. I drive at night for a living and if I want to be inspired or receive clarity about a topic I come to this channel and this interview delivered not only nothing less but so much more than I thought it would. There is one question I would ask him. If the priesthood isn't something you get why did the scriptures speak about it being something that's received? Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding what he meant.

There are three separate beings. You need to work very hard to not see that. Just stop. People have been debating this, and therefore wasting millions of man hours that could have been used to do productive things. God does not talk to Himself. God does not have a split personality disorder. God teaches us in plain and simple ways. The trinity is not plain nor simple. Hey guys in one of the Stick of Joseph interviews with Dave Butler and Mike Day, they brought up a time in one of the books of Moses where Moses receives signs of the Lord on the mountain and then comes and shows the signs to the people, and they explained it in a way where the signs were connected to LDS temple theology. Before I try slogging through all of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, or like 12 hours of youtube footage, does anyone know the passage in the Bible or the timestamp in a video? I want to make some notes on it in my scriptures. Thanks.

This was a fun discussion, I'm looking forward to more. I'd like to see you do a deep dive into the temple ceremony and the sources we have. I no longer believe that what we have came from Joseph, they are a creation of Brigham. Too many things get pinned on Joseph that aren't Joseph's. As far as your comment on mental gymnastics, the lds are the best at mental gymnastics. I was an apologist for almost 30 years until God saw fit in His mercy to open my eyes. I'm still learning and claim the title Mormon in the way Joseph described Mormon, to accept truth wherever it may come from, so even here on this channel from lds folk. ❤
