You flippin nailed it 🙏 emphasis on the last segment. People, brothers and sisters, there are literally examples being shown to us of other faiths who are living as though their lives are the very offering given to God and placed upon the altar before Him at all times, in all things and ways, and in all places. And they don't have the "fulness of the gospel"! We claim to have it...but are clearly living as though 10% of our time, thoughts, what we eat, actions, etc...will be enough for God. Will be enough for Him to recognize us as a true disciple or devotee. My friends God does and will recognize the difference between a Cain offering and an Abel offering. He allows plagues and droughts to happen in our lives because we've stepped away from Him. And once he relieves it...He hopes we will continue to draw as close to him forever as we were when we were struggling. Thirst and hunger after righteousness. Serve God not for reward. Not because you want to achieve what's in your patriarchal blessing. For you know he will provide. But rather serve God because you love Him 🙏 take no glory unto thyself -- give ALL thanks and glory unto God. For it is His. There is real power in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏 So talk about him often and not just to mention him to close a prayer with. Your life will absolutely and radically change, even a mighty change, like as a caterpillar inching along in life into the permanence and majesty of a butterfly. Never to return to where and how you once lived before. Because you wouldn't want to.
About 10 years ago I began my journey back to the covenant path. The more improvement I make, the further I realize I have to go. This is a journey and struggle which will never end. Thank you for this video, you opened my eyes a little more.
I know there has been a sense of urgency lately, as we approach the coming of the Savior the birth pains will only increase. But have faith, the covenant path doesn’t have to be a struggle. I believe that for many, the reason to come to Earth was a profound love for Father and Mother in heaven. We all wanted to be with them forever so we made the decision to come to this brutal reality where the consequences of our choices would cause true pain and death to ourselves and our loved ones. But we had the courage to accept the adventure, and the pain, because we love them. The next phase we need to conquer is the acceptance of the natural law of consequences. We have to let go of pride and the need to control everything. We need to understand that light brings light, and darkness will bring just darkness. Let your body yield to the spirit instead of the opposite. Become one with God by choosing to do what is right not because others will see your actions but because it is the only thing that makes sense. Have faith to do what is right and be honest with yourself. This is more like an exercise or a habit than anything else, the more you do, more you see of the results, better you get at it, and easier it becomes. That’s your nature, you are godly in nature, so it doesn’t have to be a struggle 😁 I’m not saying you won’t fail every day, or every hour, or every second. I surely fail more than I can comfortably admit. But it doesn’t matter. I believe that the only thing that matters is to continue doing it over and over again. I hope it helps 😁❤️
So true! It’s because as we humble ourselves and really want that sanctification, we are shown our true selves and self deception falls to the wayside. We see ourselves as we are seen. Then we realize, wow…I have a long way. But you can also look back and see how far you’ve come and the hope and possibility of what is to come. 🙏 It’s beautiful.
I have read the Book of Mormon front to back 16 times, going on 17 this year. These last two times the Spirit moved and read with me, I asked Him questions and He answered.I asked Him about people, about backgrounds, about the atmosphere, or how this person repented and so on. And the Spirit not only answered me often, He told me to tell other people that the Book of Mormon is not only Another Testament of Christ, it is like a seer stone to see and learn of Christ.... personally. Those visions are available to all.
@@Kristy_not_Kristine I only keep track because President Benson did. At 90 years old he announced he'd read it the 90th time and still noticed things he hadn't before. And yes I do not only read it front to back. Sometimes I read it in historical order, often by prophet/writer, and often by topic as well. Its a powerful, meaty and milk-filled book.
yes, I used to be one of those "half assed" mormons. only recently has God reached out and plucked this lost sheep back into the fold. and now I am petal to the metal true disciple. and it is true, i have "unsealed" doctrine that has been right before my eyes for 50 years.
Powerful. The man who questioned how we as christians celebration of our Christian holidays was one hundred percent right on. I’ve had the same questions but have been guilty of traditionally just playing along with my children. For me every day, my question is what do I need to repent of, it takes work and holding myself accountable and isn’t always pretty. My goal is to have charity and to prepare to meet Christ.
So when I served my mission overseas and saw that they celebrate all the Christian holidays without the commercialized and pagan crap, I decided the chain of paganism ends with me.
Hyrum Andrus talked about this very thing, unsealing the Book of Mormon that we already have. He felt the Book of Mormon was sealed to most members who haven't put in the sacrifice to understand the deep messages of the marvelous work and a wonder that the Lord prepared for the last days . Great message, brother!
You are not crazy. I am so glad that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ snd His rerstored church are at the center of my life. I have studied the scriptures faithfully every day for many years, and I normally read through the Book of Mormon two to three times a year. I do so rotating through different languages I am fluent in, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian. Doing so helps me to consider carefully what I am studying, and I have learned so much just diving into the sciptures daily. I am a former Bishop (three times) and now serve on our Stake High Council and I also teach early morning Seminary, and I am so happy to be studying with our students the Book of Mormon this year. Together we are learning so much and receiving wonderful revelations about God's interactions with His children. Thank you for sharing your perspective, which is spot on.
Can I ask you an honest question from a non-believer? When you say you study the Book of Mormon, what exactly do you study. I just finished reading the Book of Mormon and I found it boring. The beginning story was interesting. Its quotes a lot of Bible verses throughout so I don't really need the BoM for that and the rest is "Nephite good, Lamenite bad, war, Lamenite good, Nephite bad, war, so on and so on. When Jesus finally comes on the scene, which I was looking forward to, it wasn't much more then a pow wow with a small group of people then he leaves. Afterwards its back to the "good, bad, war" repetition until everyone is killed off. I'm just trying to find out what people see in the book.
@@blusheep2 Hey brother, that is so cool that you read the Book. Many of us love it because we read it as a Temple text, the way it is intended to be read. The Book of Mormon calls us to participate in a higher reality with Christ as our Mentor. When we allow His Spirit to take up abode in us, we awaken to that higher reality, and it truly is magical. And no, I'm not talking about some self-conjured religious fervor. I'm talking about being born again in Jesus by living what the Book of Mormon teaches.
@@DoctrineofChrist248 I guess I'm hoping for specifics. Like what does Jesus teach that isn't taught in the Bible? And, what do you mean by a Temple text?
You are so right on! My family is raised, but this is what I taught them 40 years ago. It does my heart wonders to hear you so committed to recognizing that the Savior is the center of our lives whether we know it or not.
This is my second favorite episode next to the David Butler episodes, but maybe it's my top favorite. Ever since 2020 I have been awakened to exactly what you are talking about. My wife and I have felt called to center our lives in Christ in ways that we've never done. President Nelson says "unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures in our lives. " and I personally have felt the need to make immense change. Thank you for your work, you are gathering Israel!
I completed the Book of Mormon for 52 consecutive weeks last year (video on my channel) - it was a game changer. You are correct, there are countless mysteries in plain sight - but only made available to those who truly treasure the word.
Thank you for following the prompting of the Spirit and making this video. I’m so grateful that it came up in my feed and I’m so happy to subscribe to your channel. Sharing James OKeef’s message is perfect, he has been persecuted for standing up for truth and he refuses to back down. I really appreciate your words!
You articulated exactly how I’ve been feeling, brother. As Latter-Day Saints, what we have to offer the rest of the world is everything-the truth. But if we don’t even appreciate or understand what we have, how on earth is anyone else going to be able to take advantage of it? In D&C 123:12 it talks about how people are kept from the truth because they know not where to find it. I hope we all can truly come to understand, for ourselves, and then share it like our life depends on it because it does.
What about the people that have obeyed and has done everything that has been asked of them. It's almost like punishing them to make them read it. If the rest of the book is unsealed then the people are going to do what they usually do is not reading the new portion..yes it will be exciting but soon it will not be exciting anymore for the excitement would wear off...
For me the second hidden layer of the Book of Mormon that was first revealed to me was the law of sacrifice. Almost every story has an element of the law of sacrifice. Just like fasting without praying, sacrifice without prayer and without promises from the Lord isn’t accounted into us as righteousness, and doesn’t manifest the blessings we need. It has unlocked a connection with my savior that I didn’t think would be possible. I wish I could shout sacrifice from the housetops! We stop at the law of obedience and think all of our covenants are a matter of obedience. Once you give up that idea and try to figure out what the new paradigm each covenant provides, we get stuck and can’t progress. Hope everyone has a fresh look at the gospel like you’re talking about. Thanks for sharing!!
That's why I love the Holy Bible, it reveals to us the mysteries of God. The secret combinations within secret combinations of the Book of Mormon are very disconcerting.
This is my experience as well. We really don’t understand how critical the law of sacrifice is. Being willing to give up everything including your life for Christ is a game changer. It is where charity, the pure love of Christ lives.
The Bible says, “obedience is better than sacrifice” 1 Samuel 15:22 You must look to the Bible for a measure of what is true and what is false. The Book of Mormon is a counterfeit gospel, even in the name “restored Gospel” and “another testament of Jesus Christ.” When we understand that Satan is the father of lies and a master of counterfeit, then we can begin to break down the history and so-called “authenticity” of the Book of Mormon. I pray and hope in love, that you seek Jesus Christ, the Christ of the Bible over any personal revelation from anyone or any church organization.
@@wayfaringoverlander Most people don't know that the Book of Mormon and Moroni are referred to in the Holy Bible. Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Gal 1:7 *Which is not another;* but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. Gal 1:8 But though we, or *an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.*
@@ts-900 that was the scripture that led me out of the Book of Mormon and opened my eyes. Then I started realizing most of what I heard in church wasn’t gospel centered, like this “sermon”, it’s just getting up and telling stories and experiences. I found that people place a greater faith in personal revelation over Biblical application of the scriptures. No man can die and become an angel, that’s a red flag. Gentiles were never prophets. Joseph Smith also had false revelations, and the Bible explains they should be out to death. Smith also boasted he did more than Christ to keep the church together. Talk about pride. “I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet. “ that is the most arrogant prideful statement.
This message was fyre. Few times do I get powerful messages like this from someone other than a general authority but it was deep true religion and gave me a strong awakening. Thank you for taking your time to share.
Dude I’ve been feeling this for probably years. Thanks for video and reminder to ALWAYS keep my heart centered in Christ! no matter what holiday it is. That goes for the bad times just as much as the good times.
See man, I just watched this video tonight with the missionaries that are assigned to my branch. The part where Hayden speaks on the Book of Mormon being figuratively sealed is SUPER deep if you think about it.
Wow, President Nelson's talk was sped up. President Nelson does not talk that fast. Congratulations on your publishing company. I would choose Scripture over any earthly thing. You can take knowledge with you when you die, but you can't take earthly possessions. Hayden, we all have a long way to go. We would all benefit from an indepth study of the Book of Mormon. If we are to become like Christ we first have to learn who He is and what He's about. I need to change my focus. I need to put off the natural man and the earthly distractions and bury myself in Jesus Christ. You are not crazy. Everything you have said is true. Hugs from, Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺
I am 73 and I am just beginning to have the scriptures opening to me. I have read the Book of Mormon every year for more than ten years. But year in my reading I am looking forward to the day when the sealed part of the Book of Mormon will opened to us so I the in-condensed version.
Man this video has me in tears I love watching your videos this guy knows what he speaks of..keep up these videos I’ve been following you for sometime now and I share you with family and friends
Keep listening to the prompting of the spirit. The minute you started speaking that my prayer of just minutes earlier was being answered. I really needed what you said and how you said it. Thx
Hayden, don't be so hard on yourself! I've learned a lot from you and your quieter brother Jackson [GOOD NAMES!] Your lives are full of the STICK OF JOSEPH, the Marines, your family, and church responsibilities. Also, you've overcome a lot. I bet that the Lord is happy with you!❤
@@coryburns9161if you believe in Christ, you will believe in the Book of Mormon, for they are the words of Christ and He hath given the words unto us. Nothing you could say or do would ever convince me otherwise. Truth of the words are manifested daily when heeded. Read it and decided for yourself.
I think most people in the church would say they wouldn’t sell the book of Mormon for money, and I believe them. But lots of people, including myself sale it a different way, and that’s by not giving it enough time or letting other worldly pursuits get in the way.
Loved everything you had to say! For those who feel overwhelmed, starts small, sacrifice, more time in your family search app then you do on mindless scrolling, have a goal to attend the temple once a month, etc. It’s good to have a ‘spiritual focus’ evaluations often. Put a reminder in your phone if need be.
Absolutely great insight here. Thank you for sharing this brother. You guys should have Michael Rush on if you have not yet. There is so much to the gospel I was missing out on for the exact reason you pointed out here. May God continue to bless you both.
I have read the book of Mormon about 30 times (two and a half this year) and I still have much to learn. I love it and am blessed with all the beautiful teachings I have learned. Yet I learn more each time. I would never exchange the word of God for all the money or any other things I could be offered.
Thank you for the emphasis on appreciating what we have and finding the hidden messages that are revealed to the earnest searcher of the messages from God found in the scriptures. Love your searching, inquiring minds. ❤
Thank you for doing these videos. I am so excited about the archeological findings that give evidence of the Book of Mormon!! If only nonmembers would watch these videos!!
I had to speak on Easter in my ward. So I have been thinking a lot about how we celebrate religious holidays. I also looked at it in comparison to how ancient Israelites and modern Jews celebrate. My eyes were opened. Jews may eat a for specific and precise Passover meal while repeating the same prayer. We do that once a week at the Sacrament table. Jews may fast with a holiday, we strive to do that monthly. Jews may have a holiday that they build booths to remove them from their daily lives, we stop our daily life every six months to listen to prophetic messages. Our two most religious holidays may have been over taken by commercialism, but I live my religion daily. So it doesn’t affect my relationship with my Savior.
This was great! I totally agree with you. Sadly, as a whole ( there's always exception) we think we are IT! We think the whole world revolves around us, we can do whatever, we are amazing. In some ways, yes, we are. But who do we think we are compared to the God of the Universe? We'd all do well to humble ourselves and put God into the centre of our lives and worship as we should. Regards to the BoM or any scriptures, that's probably why Pres Nelson has been urging us to increase our spiritual capacity. To see and hear things that are not written or spoken. When you constantly strive for that and you get little spiritual nugets here and there, it's worth more than rubies. Thanks for these videos. Im so glad I found your channel.
Amos chaper 8 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day: 10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
9:40 that is one reason I converted. I had a vision in my mind of a great tree. With branches and roots expanding forever in both directions. I felt like it was knowledge and mysteries I had never fathomed before. And it was knowledge about God, and life, and engineering of existence. ❤️
Great you guys, stay on it. I can't even begin to explain what I've been learning; it's the best feeling in the world, and I'm on the front lines of these Last Days. I was told these days would happen and literally have been preparing all my life for it.
Yeah, had a read on the Apocrypha, interesting take on the beginning. Book of Solomon was an inspiring read, such as "God abhors death.". To add, I want to know what made Lehi, Father of Nephi, a prophet. Plus, how many more books are hidden for a reason.
That sparked something inside of me, and I totally agree with your underlying point. Keep it up. You're inspiring us all. Repentance is real, and I can honestly say that this video helped me to make the decision, once again, to seek to repent and shove the natural man and put him in his place. Love it dawg💪
The Book of Mormon is the only book where the message of the Book is revealed in layers as we repent and come unto Christ. Alma 26:21 And now behold, my brethren, what natural man is there that knoweth these things? I say unto you, there is none that knoweth these things, save it be the penitent. 22 Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing-unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance.
Love this my dudes, well done. Many of the holy prophets of the Old Testament and Book of Mormon "received" the sealed portion, a revelation from the beginning to the end or "vision of all", during their throne room theophany experience with YHWH. Joseph Smith taught us that we too can join their ranks! Gotta wrestle with that unbelief.
@@zionmama150 You are not alone sister. I've been seeking the face of my Second Comforter for 3 years, striving to get Babylon completely out of my heart and my home, cutting most media in favor of more holy pursuits, working on becoming authentically charitable, etc. All while knowing that His grace is what saves, and that a face to face encounter with Deity will be a gift of sheer grace. I think we keep striving, allowing him to correct our unbelief on the daily, praying *always*, and retaining the Spirit of Christ with a hope in Him. "Spiritual Preparation for the Second Coming - (11) -Sanctifying the heart, Israel, the Aleph eclipse" by Matt Jepson is an awesome video here on YT. It might help, if you haven't seen it. But I see your comments on a lot of videos by the awesome channels I follow, so you must be oriented in the right direction!
@@scottishwarrior3547 I’m a little leery of him… many people following after him seem to exist in circles in the Church that practice and believe things I don’t feel are right.
This was awesome, I clicked on your video for the first time and subscribed, I listened to a "Know Your Religion" speaker (back in the day when BYU speakers traveled a circuit to outlying stakes) and he said exactly what you just said, he raised the question and said "what if the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon is within the pages you already have". I've read the book of Mormon many times but not with pure intent, I want to change that and read it with intention and the desire to come to know God and even more. Thank you for your video. Can you tell us who David Butler is, I'm not familiar with his name.
Jesus must be the center and we build everything else around Him. That's a great lesson from the temple! I appreciate your question, "Would you take one billion dollars to stop reading The Book of Mormon and deny its veracity." Nope. There's nothing I want more in my life than to better my relationship with Christ and to get direction from the Holy Ghost. Thanks for your testimony.
I discovered part of that, as The Book of Mormon answers the Fermi Paradox. It's in plain sight and so simple everyone misses it. And no one is even interested in asking me about it.
I remember teaching on my mission from my own experience that although the text of the Book of Mormon does not change, the messages you receive from subsequent readings does/can change. I presumed that was because different parts speak to you at different times either as you mature or as you have different needs in life.
I had not thought about your perspective that your eyes are open to more line upon line as you are prepared for more, but it is an intriguing possibility to consider.
5:50 Thank you for mentioning that you were the one who increased the speed. I thought something was wrong on my end because I know President Nelson doesn't speak that fast. At least not over the pulpit. I could understand what he was saying, but it was freaking me out. 😄
There wasn't a band around the sealed portion. That is an artist's interpretation of 'sealed'. The accounts from that time indicate that the sealed portion was encased.
Hayden, you are NOT crazy! You are right on. At 15:17 you roughly say, "there are so many times where I look back on my life where I say, I can't go do this church thing, or I can't read my scriptures, or I can't..." May I humbly offer a different word, other than can't? The word is WANT. We all fall into this natural man trap. At times we don't WANT to do the church thing or don't WANT to read our scriptures or don't WANT to go to the temple. The natural man is an enemy to God because the natural man only wants what he wants and does not want what God wants. The attribute that made Jesus perfect was the fact that He only wanted to do the will of his Father in all things from the beginning. Will equals want. Once we come to understand that, then sin is simply acting against the will of God. That is why we need repentance. When our wants conflict with what God wants, then we simply need to repent, cast aside our wants and do what God wants. That is the formula for having God give us all that He has to offer (including a knowledge of what is in the sealed portion of the gold plates). The sad truth is that we don't always recognize nor regulate our wants. We are naturally selfish. That is what gets us into trouble. Check out the book, "The Invisible Four-letter Word, The secret to getting what you really want in life" for deeper introspection into this concept of wants. One other point, Helaman 10:4 confirms what James O’Keefe said. The Lord says to Nephi, Thou "hast not sought thy own life, but has sought my will." Once Nephi proved that his wants were the same as God's wants, and that he was willing (wanted) to lay down his life to do what God wanted, he was granted power beyond anything that could be granted by any supposed earthy authority.
I've been feeling this way as well. That there is so much more to the scriptures and that I am just too blind and deaf to see or hear. It's like the world has blinded me. I am the blind man whose eyes Jesus anointed with clay. Clay is dirt and water. Dirt is a symbol of the earth, the world, the flesh, etc. I believe the Great Healer was at work as the Great Teacher in this healing and that I, like the man with clay in his eyes, need to wash out the world from my eyes so that I can finally see. An until I do that, I will be blind. When I went to the movie theater a while back, I noticed that the architecture, the lights, the high spires... the whole facade looked very temple-like. I realized... holy cow... this place is a temple to the image of the world. Like you, I'm either crazy... or I'm finally beginning to see.
Loved watching this video. I actually watched it on the big screen on the TV while I’m dog sitting for a family member who is out of town. Some very sad news though, I tried to leave comments on your videos on Instagram and they are being removed by Instagram. I hate to say it guys but social media is becoming more and more controlled now. Those of us who are followers of Christ are being censored and oppressed more often. Just so you know, if this continues to happen, I’ll probably be forced to leave Instagram. I hope that you guys can keep your channel running there. Anyone who is politically conservative or vocally Christian is repressed, in my case, shadow banned. Even trying to settle disputes and use a voice of reason to stop people from fighting in comments has gotten me banned or shut down. It makes no sense. Unless you understand that the reason these platforms exist now is to create controversy and promote contention. I’m so proud of you guys that you are trying really hard to present all different perspectives on a number of issues. That is a very constructive thing to do. I really enjoyed this video, and the heartfelt comments and testimony offered in it.
You're on the right track. I like this definition: "To repent means to fully reconcile your ideas, desires, and actions to your sincere understanding of what's best." -Robert Smith of Upward thought on You tube. What does that say about us that we don't have the sealed portion yet? That the 3 Nephites are not around? That the Joseph Smith Translation is still incomplete and at the back of our books? That we don't talk much about the signs that follow the believers, That we don't know much about Baptism of Fire? I think the reason these things are being talked about more is because it is time to learn them in preparation for the judgment that is coming due to our negligence for not seeing what is right in front of us in our hands. We are in the situation described of by those who saw us, (2 Nephi 28; Mormon 8; Isaiah 28, 29; Jeremiah 23).
@thestickofjoseph I want to thank you for this video. It was such a powerful video to me. I felt the truthfulness and inspiration to do better. There are many nay sayers in the comment section don't let it bother you for one moment. Satan always rises up against truth And that which would lead people closer to God. Thank you again, prayers that you are able to continue this mission as it were; bringing Hope, joy and light to all who listen to your podcast.
As one who grew up Catholic I was surrounded by dozens of nuns, priests, monks who all literally gave up their entire lives for God and Jesus (no marriage). Their family was the parish flock or service missions. Talk about a commitment. I was continually astounded at their life long dedication. It was not my cup of tee though.
I have a housemate, who is a devout Catholic, and we have some amazing, challenging, and enlightening conversations about the difference between things like the Bible, the catechisms, book of Mormon, etc. We even end up talking about the non-canonized scriptures and other ancient texts. I was so surprised at how much the latter-day Saint Church and the Catholic Church have in common even though they also have a number of differences. The good thing is, I know that because Christianity in general is under fire right now, because of the secularism of the world, I know that I would stand up and defend, the Catholic faith as quickly as I would my own. It’s coming down to those of us who believe in Jesus Christ, and those who do not. I think we’re all going to have to stand together and link arms to support each other. That time is approaching rapidly, in my opinion. I don’t believe in the session of Saints and I don’t believe in the whole bowing down to statues etc. but as you said it is not my cup of tea. I would still defend their right to worship as they please though.
@@csluau5913 yeah I’ve had interesting conversations with my Catholic family as well. I drifted away from all religion 50 years ago opting for the non judgmental “just be a good person” path which suited me much better. I’m happy for any path that is chosen whether religious or secular as long as people are treated with love, respect, and compassion.
@@Zeett09 I get it. I do. I think for me personally, though, I want more. I am seeking a deeper level of spiritual understanding on a personal one-to-one basis that connects me to Christ, and to our heavenly father, and by extent our heavenly mother. To me the idea of a sacred divine family is absolutely fantastic and I love it and I embrace it. It’s interesting that the Catholics believe in a holy mother, but they have just picked the wrong one. The mother of Christ on earth was a type of divine mother. Just as there are many symbols and types of saviours. Between David Butler, and a number of other guests that have been on this show, and other things that have been said on other shows and other podcasts that I have paid attention to, and my deep interest in biblical archaeology and book of Mormon, archaeology, there are some really amazing and mind blowing things out there. People have no idea. Once you learn the language of the symbols and you truly trust your heart, in the hands of God, things are revealed to you. Things I can’t reveal here. The irony is that I’m not even a member of the church. I’m working on it though. Got a lot of things to overcome but I’m determined.
I feel this! I struggle every year with the secularism of Easter and Christmas. I do not allow images of Santa/elves/etc in my home. I decorate with nativities. This year I bought a ham to cook up for Easter dinner. Since then I’ve had a burning desire to have a Passover feast instead. I’ve been learning about the traditions of the Jewish people and plan to teach my family about the Seder Plate, Exodus and how it relates to Christ. We’ll have a Mediterranean and biblical inspired meal.
Back in 2005 a former member, Christopher Nemelka, distributed a book he called The Sealed Portion, and claimed that it was the translation of the Book of Mormon's sealed plates. Included with the material he distributed was The Book of Lehi, which purported to be Lehi's own story. This material was shipped free to many officials of the church, and I obtained mine from our bishop who received it unasked for in the mail. He didn't want it, and was going to toss it into the recycle barrel, but I got him to give it to me. I didn't look at the main "sealed portion," but started with the Book of Lehi. It was written in the same style as the Book of Mormon and an ignorant person might have been wondering if it could be real, but when the Book of Lehi started talking about quorums of high priests in Jerusalem (and it said that Lehi was one of those high priests) I had to laugh my tush off. High Priest in the Melchizedek priesthood is a modern office. In Judaism, including around the time of Jesus, there was only one high priest, and it was an office in the priestly class among the Levites. So it was an obvious fake. Not that I expected it to be anything else. There is a video on UA-cam showing Nemelka admitting that he wrote "The Sealed Portion" as part of a religious scam. Search for "Christopher Nemelka Admits The Sealed Portion Is A Scam" on YT.
But rather serve God because you love Him 🙏
take no glory unto thyself -- give ALL thanks and glory unto God.
What is the covenant path, it's just a made up term from the church leaders...😂
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept: line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:10
Same here.. just got to go to the temple for the first time since 97' about 3 weeks ago!
That’s beautiful. I’m starting to have this more as well. Pure heart, real desire and ASKING QUESTIONS!! Feast on the Word.
Love that❤❤❤ I stopped counting at 45, I don't read front to back anymore, mostly studying topically now❤
@@Kristy_not_Kristine I only keep track because President Benson did.
@@jakeave we celebrate with trees and beautiful lights on our temples or house of the Lord . Every thing is not pagan. Many things have symbolism .
Do you know where the unique name of hyrum comes from? The Book of Mormon is shrouded in deep symbolism and very few can comprehend it.

@@blusheep2 I got literally sick of all the violence and put it down. Nothing holy in it, except when it quotes the Word of God out of context.
@@ts-900 There is violence in the Bible so I wouldn't just put it down because of that, but all the wars in the BoM have no context for them.
The only way to find the truth is to break the curse that this church is in. But that ain't going to happen until the scourge comes.
Its a lie
The Bible says, “obedience is better than sacrifice” 1 Samuel 15:22
You must look to the Bible for a measure of what is true and what is false.
Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 *Which is not another;* but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

We are hand led how to weave a community in which we love and care for one another. I say thank you all day long.

You are spot on with your thoughts. Personally, I love the Book of Mormon and wouldn't take anything for it. However,
I think that we (l,) need to really go deep into what we have, before we are ready for more.
Amen!!
What do we do when we know we believe but still don’t receive? I’m struggling with this, not knowing if it is just patience or if something is wrong.

You are spot on.
I regret not looking more into your booth in detail at the Mountain America Expo Center. I did see you there but had no idea who you were
I remember teaching on my mission from my own experience that although the text of the Book of Mormon does not change, the messages you receive from subsequent readings does/can change.
Amen brother!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Inspired. Thanks.

Conversely, and soberly stated, those who have given up the things of God paid to do so at the price of their eternal life.
Can’t wait to get the book.
Please play videos at regular speed. So hard to keep up when it’s on 2x speed with my hearing issues.
Love this!! ❤
can we get one were we get it.🤔
Loved watching this video.
Another example might be are we going shopping at the mall or are we watching, hearing President Nelson at General Conference. 🙏❤️
I believe you are right. There are message(s) hidden in plain sight that I have seen in part. I've experienced it before.
