Amazing dresser! I personally think that the burled wood is maple, which is simply gorgeous! I don't know why but I seem to gravitate to Canadian restorers! Lol the Canadians are my favorites to follow! 😆

I believe you can get a higher lustre with Odie’s if you sand to 220 or 320. You can also add their wax or wood butter.

Well, if you didn’t quit after the first veneering , then you’ve deserved a medal in patience…😅…. ❤… what a stubborn record cabinet 😅it took 2 people to finish it right…😂😂 … just teething… but I do admire your patience with it, because most of us would have tossed it out few month ago 😂😂… looks really good, and at the end that what counts doesn’t it? ( but oh boy it didn’t want to end it 🤣)…. I’m glad that you’re done with it…

Yes, you're right on treating the bottom and backs of the pieces. I ususally sand them and spray them with lacquer or shellac. I sand around all the markings in order to conserve them as well. Good work!!!!
