If you are looking for a solid, high-quality oil pastel for underpainting, I find “Pentel oil pastels for Artist” to be better than even Specialist oil pastels. They are firm yet vibrant color, with less of waxy feel, making it easier to layer softer oil pastels on top. Pentel oil pastels for Artist are also square shaped oil pastels like Specialist. I used the Caran dache’s Neopastel for this drawing. Yes, they are very pigmented and the texture is nice to use! I highly recommend it! 😊💓🙏🏻
