On the other hand with regular Pentel, we can obtain a creamy texture on Somerset 270 Watercolour sheet, as well as with Canson Mi-Teintes. Furthermore, the regular Pentel can be achieved with an hyper-realistic effect on Watercolour Arches cold press and on the back of regular canvas by using colours shaper tools (I am using one which I had cutting the edge to have a more stability of spreading the oil pastels). As supplemental notes overall, I am obtaining the exact similar results with Sakura of Cray-Pas for Juniors which are more pigmented than Cray-Pas Expressionist and the last one cited is more pigmented than Cray-Pas Specialist on these papers used. The Cray-Pas Spécialist are excessively pricey by being oily and translucency in comparison of the two others Sakura of Cray-Pas products with Oil pastels but they can be working under the Mungyo Gallery and on the Mungyo scholar on these papers used, but not on Mix-media or smooth Bristol ones. Meanwhile, I won’t recommend the Cray-Pas Specialist with the Pentels ones. Thank you for posting this interesting comparison! I have never used the Pentel artist oil pastels, but I do use the regular Pentel oil pastels a lot. Out of all the inexpensive pastel brands those are my favoite ones. I find that they smell horrible, but they work really good, and your paintings prove it, too: They look amazing, and if noone told me which is which, I would not be able to tell whether you used the regular or the artist's pastels.
