I had obtained some different results than yours by using different papers than Mix-media and Bristol smooth and vellum ones. So I am completely agree with your swatching charts!

If you are looking for a solid, high-quality oil pastel for underpainting, I find “Pentel oil pastels for Artist” to be better than even Specialist oil pastels. They are firm yet vibrant color, with less of waxy feel, making it easier to layer softer oil pastels on top. Pentel oil pastels for Artist are also square shaped oil pastels like Specialist.
