This is a PAW 2.49 (.15 cu.in.) single ball race engine. I received the engine from a fellow modeler. It was NIB. The box was one of the older styles so I can't determine the vintage. Someone on the PAW engine Facebook page said it could be from the 1990s. It included both the C/L venturi and a throttle assembly. The first runs are with an APC 9x4 prop. This plane has been waiting for over a year for its first test flight after a complete refinish. A PAW .049 was installed during the rebuild. The engine was broken in prior to installation. Fuel is Eric Clutton's' recommended mix using John Deere starting fluid for the ether component. Prop is a 6x4 Cox competition. The airplane is a small Ringmaster with 150 sq. in. wing, designed by Pat King.

New RO-JETT .51 Bar stock, side exhaust version, recently received from Dub Jett. I am following the RO-JETT break-in instructions. Break-in run of my RO-JETT 40BSE. Fuel mix - 5/22 half castor; Prop - Graupner 10x4. I will put at least 1 hour on this engine on the bench before mounting in an airplane. The intended home for this is a Gialdini 'Olympic'. The first C/L pattern I saw was Bob demonstrating a pattern with this airplane in Horicon, Wisconsin in 1961.

I decided to resume construction of a Freebird I started 20 years ago, so I purchased a new PAW 40TBR for it. 6 year old Julian Garcia flying a Baby Bee powered Baby Ringmaster built from Coroplast sign material. The video was taken during the 2018 Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon. Fellow club member Bill Smith built the airplane as an extremely durable trainer. By the date of this video, Julian had around 15 complete solo flights.
