Cox RR1

Thimble Drome (Cox) RR1 (rear rotary valve induction). These are pretty hot (about like a TD) and fairly rare. Cox produced these in limited quantities for 3 years. I purchased this engine at an estate sale. I disassembled and cleaned it, replaced the crankcase gasket and the fuel pickup. The glow head is a standard (low compression) type. Fuel is 25% Nitro, 20% oil (half castor). Prop is a Cox Competition (grey) 5x3. Ground rpm settles at around 18,000. I've run RR1s before so I expect this to unload to 20K or so in the air.
