@@JerseyDigs yes, and oddly I sometimes have copper pennies ring up like a quarter, but not a lot

@@diggingnashvegas I noticed the zinc based ring a 38-42 and coppers are 44-48 with Wheaties ringing higher near that 46-47 range and up to the 50s at depth

Hey JH, thanks for reaching out. Happy to hear you enjoy the content! I've been changing up my recording style in hopes of providing some tacit knowledge that comes only with experience. I would say it would be hard at the beach this time of year to detect without headphones, draws too much attention for me. When they're empty I'd be glad to, but I'm planning a few park hunts soon where I will have my volume up and will explain what I'm deciphering from my signals and why I would dig it. A lot of my style is to dig it all because I've been surprised plenty. It's easy these days to tell when it's a coin or silver but when It comes to jewelry like gold or silver chains I've found them all over the scale. Hey Steve, thanks for reaching out. I think a lot of why I stay in MW and beach is out of laziness lol. I usually start down in the wet sand and then forget to switch when I start hitting the dry. I've had a few tell me to run park or single freq modes when hunting the dry sand. I'll take your advice and give it a go today. Thanks again

I'm on 1.15 did the update about a month ago. I keep it in beach, MW, sensitivity 30 if I can, and recovery speed at a 5 or a 6 especially this time of year when most finds are just hiding under the surface.

Sorry didn't see this comment! I love my accupoint I'm almost never worried about battery life haven't charged it in months and still full. Maybe not the best detecting depth but I keep the sensitivity lower so it's just always stable still get a few inches on a quarter sized signal.

@@JerseyDigs why don't you run the sensitivity on high?

@@JerseyDigs I own like 7 carrot sticks... Half of them don't vibrate anymore... They still beep but the falsing is horrible.... THEY SUCK

Wow you got me beat! In 2023 I got about $700 in clad. This year even less. I'm focusing more on low tones and find myself skipping over clad at times. Sure I've walked over silver a few times doing so but my focus has been gold this year

@@Ufopirate17Q-so5pb think we've chatted in the past you're lucky to be in such a spot. Guess for me I have the traffic and tourism which keeps us busy. We come across a few solid spots inland yearly but the beaches are always being replenished with signals daily this time of year. Perfect balance of new and old finds. Lot of competition though at the beach

The LG30 stays on 90% of the time. Currently using the lg24 which is great perfect for trashy sites.

Thanks! And I'm using the Nokta Bluetooth Low Latency headphones they came as a pack with the Legend. So far they're great! I feel there is a slight delay that took a little getting used to but I like them. Great battery life and pair up quickly.

I've been keeping it to the touristy beaches and having a little luck. No gold yet. But yes some of my best hunts have been after a good storm. The wet sand hasn't produced yet but the dry has been good

Hey sorry for the late reply here. I wouldn't say so much it helped locate the coin but rather increase the ability for it to be detected. Threshold seems to work better on virgin, non planted signals that are deep. Since making this video, I've heard others say that the threshold on the legend isn't a true threshold and doesn't do much. But in my experience with it deeper signals were able to be detected. Hope that helps lmk. I don't use it much lately and have been toying with deep targets. I typically increase it depending on how deep the finds are or I've already rid a site of shallow targets and now am trying to see what's deeper.

Hey Jake. Thanks for sharing the info. I've tried single at the beach but stability sways as I move in and out of wet sand. I may have to actively switch it over there from single to mw which should do the trick it's only a small section of the beach. I'll change that disc up. I know increasing recovery speed can help as well. Again thanks for the info

Hello spent 4 hours today using my new legend on the beach. When in MD mode it would excessively pop off, but in MW it calmed down. I was using it in dry sand, sensitivity 26, recovery 1. MD mode was not practical for use with those settings. Any suggestions?

@@4High4Low Hey. So I've ran into similar situations with MD and because of that I almost always run it in MW or switch to another mode where I can access other frequencies in the dry. Wish I had a better answer for ya but that's my workaround

Hey Michael, I'm also from Central. What detector do you have and what are you interested in finding? I'd be glad to lend a hand. We're about to kick it into gear for the beach season and typically hit anywhere from long branch to seaside.

I have a Equinox 800. I've been metal detecting the beaches. Trying to do the parts, but obviously we're not allowed. Um, yeah, loved. It if there's an organization you guys belong to. I'd love to join meet up with you. Learn some stuff. I'd be greatly appreciated. I found some pretty cool stuff on the beach. Not much in jewelry, but. Some Indian herds Venice, silver 2 towerings.
