Animation to me....Animation has shown we can all get through hardships, we can be accepted, we can be happy. It's a way of telling stories that I love that has no limits, or base in reality, but even though it's not it, it is also connected to reality, cause it comes from us and who we are and have seen. Even if it's a robot, if written and or animated right, we can feel for it. That is special. Just as books it can make you see the humanity of others and connect through shared experiences or emotions, animation can do the same, executed differently. Even with a language barriers possibly being in the way you can understand a good animated story, and feel it. Due to this I want to be a part of people who make what I love so much in one way or another. Just like them, I want to shine a light in the dark and help others with my storytelling. For me it is a means of connection, compassion and hope for good in the world. Animation is full of emotion, and so are we, many times words can help highlight and express them, but this medium also lets us see the emotions we have all felt or can relate to in a meaningful way that can also give a sense of community for the love of the medium. It can also teach things you need to know and what you need to hear whether it be harsh, hopeful, or both. If you read this all, thank you. Also thank you for the amazing video even if many people haven't seen it.

it's so sad this all started with her trying to get attention from her parents to "be great" so it made it easy to be manipulated by society and Belos that in truth "to be great" you have to join the coven ect, ect....

I've thought of this before, but don't recall if I made a comment anywhere or not. Belos (as far as Lilith's concerned) and the Storm King from My Little Pony The Movie (regarding Tempest) do the same thing. Lilith wants to heal her sister's curse and Belos tells her he'll do it if she brings her to him. And even goes as far as to put her position in the Emperor's Coven on the line if she keeps coming back empty handed. Then later when he has her, he reveals that he won't be healing the curse. He was just using Lilith to get what he wanted. In the movie, Tempest wants her broken unicorn horn restored and the Storm Kings says he'll do it if she can make his staff work. He says, "Remember, Tempest. Only I have the power to make you whole. Make this twig work, you'll get your reward. Fail me, and your horn won't be the only thing that's broken." Then at the end when the staff is working, she asks him to restore her horn and he doesn't. Storm King: "Who cares about your dinky little unicorn horn?" Tempest: "But, we had an agreement." Storm King: "Get with the program. I used you. It's kinda what I do." Of course, it's not the same situation, but the concept (I think it is) is the same.

something that i dont really see get talked about alot is how lilith must have felt through her life after giving eda the curse like imagine how lilith felt when eda accidently attacked there father its liliths fault eda kept running from her father beliving she didnt deserve to be forgiven it was liliths fault that such a big part of edas freedom was taken from her and lilith gets pissed that gwen didnt give her much attention and sure that is something gwen awkolaged and apologized for lilith shouldalso remember gwen had to deal with and try to help cure edas curse THAT LILITH GAVE TO HER i love lilith shes my top 3 favorite charecters so thats why im saying this shes more complex and this is something i think alot more people should think about esspecialy for second watchthroughs i remember my second watching of agony of a witch firstly i will always praise the build of to lilith just blurting our the truth so she could try and rank up to eda i remember the second i heard that i paused the show and called my girlfriend screaming at her all she did was laugh but for a second watch through edas reaction is so much more raw and understandable seeing all she lost to the curse she had every right to pound the titan out of lilith the episode between eda and dell is still one of my favorites and i remember hearing dana orrignaly before the show was canceld planed on showing a flashback of dell and eda carving owlbert together and it would explain why they chose an owl as a way for eda to reclaim the symbol of the owl after her curse i love this show so much i hate it got cancled and im begging disney to let dana work on it again she left stuff out intentionly hopping she would get a chance to work on it again imagine finding out the origains of hooty the backstory of the archivists

if a villain's whole thesis could be upended by just resting a concerned hand on their shoulder and going "hey, c'mon dude, no need to be a douche" then you have a static villain with no self reflection. Belos lacks self reflection not because he refuses to reflect on himself but because he constantly subscribed to rationalization and self-moralization rather than taking a realistic view of his behavior. He didn't just kill his brother. Every single clone of his brother 'defected' and overcame Belos' installed prejudices, and every time they did so, Belos chose to discard them and roll a new one. even after Caleb visibly showed Phillip compassion in one of the memory paintings with a hug that clearly took a shadowy Phillip off guard. he still stabbed him in the back. and made the same chocie again and again despite his brothers' every appeal to revaluate over generations... and Belos is thematically optimal because the protagonists were always given a choice and selected willful compassion over learned ignorance.

24:19 ok I didn’t like Darius in that episode because he’s so inconsistent. They were no signs of him actually liking Hunter or trying to let him have friends. He’s arrogant and aggressive towards the Emerald Entrails when he was trying to bring them back. I mean if he wanted to drop them off at their school, then why would he attack them or attempt to kill them.

Good review! I think King Andrias is a genuinely interesting character. It‘s just heartwrenching to me that he turned out to be not that wholesome.

In my opinion, there are no fillers in Amphibia. Each episode helps introduce the world and the characters so we can care about them. These "fillers" helped me empathize and love every single villager in Wartwood. In all honesty, I saw a lot of Tolkien (Fellowship and Love for Nature) and Ghibli (Anti-War and Anti-Industrialism) in Amphibia. The Frogs of Wartwood remind me of the Hobbits of the Shire, the Toads remind me of the hardiness and stubbornness of the Dwarves, and the Newts remind me of the intelligence of the nature-loving Elves. Additionally, the Frobots (Except Frobo) remind me of the Orcs who are evil and destructive with the Core reminding me of Sauron.

The Core and the King is my favorite Amphibia episode.

I really can’t say how much I agree with you on this. Lilith is definitely one of my favorite characters of the show, and I her redemption was really well handled to me since she really deserves a second chance. I read a fanfic crossover with Kingdom Hearts, and the fact that it didn’t redeem Lilith for a pretty petty reason REALLY rubbed me the wrong way and kinda ruined the fic for me. She’s shown that, even when her and Eda argue or on opposing sides, they still care about each other and want to make things right. And season two just made her even better!

I believe he kills the clones not only for revenge of his brother’s betrayal, but also to kill any sense of kindness and innocence to make he never makes connections again. Too distracting for his work. But maybe on some level, he feels regret for doing it cause he still loved him and wanted a replacement

The thing is; Luz could’ve became Belos and he could’ve been her if the circumstances were different
