The Power of OpenSUSE YAST
Переглядів 6 тис.5 років тому
YAST - perhaps the most configurable of the Linux installers giving you full control over your installation. This is also the first video using the Olive editor and vocal compression via a new Yamaha mixer board. My viewers often comment that my voice is too quiet. That's because I'm not a fan of compression and everyone else users it. However, the public gets what the public wants.... :)

Testing Nvidia GT 1030 gaming on Linux
I've used Ubuntu for a long time and that's just a mind blowing to see that level of customization during install. Ubuntu's install wizard just lacks in every aspect. I wish I knew about YAST sooner. Thank you for your video
I bought a used Marantz SR5007 AVR with some weird issues on the analog inputs. Any time I switch to a line input my speakers pop, they also pop when I mute the AVR. When I adjust the volume (digital encoder) there's distortion for every volume increment step but once the volume is set there's no (audible) distortion. This issue is not present when I'm using digital sources, be it over HDMI or streaming to it over WiFi. I think I've narrowed the issue down to the input switching relay which is a Handouk BC3-12 24V relay. It seems to be a similar issue, this probably isn't caused by a power supply relay or the speaker relays themselves, right?
What about driver installation under Linux? What Linux distribution did you use?
arh,, annoying. dont work with my surefire hawk claw somethingsomething mouse
Late to the video but after choosing disk to disk option it does not display my local drive , only the USB attached external drive I want to clone to ( destination)?
Hi! I picked up an el cheapo noname RGB keyboard just for the heck of it. OpenRgb doesn't see it. I've tried xset that didn't do anything either. lsusb tells me it's a usb keyboard. I don't know what else I could try.
There are two protection relays with my Pioneer amplifier A447 model. Which protection relay should be cleaned the left or the right side? Is it possible to buy a new relay parts with this amplifier? Thanks for your reply.
USELESS! Entire disk clone only!
OpenRGB crashes regularly on Ubuntu, does not seem to want to use the profiles I have set, and I am forever going in to manually set color cycle, since I gave up on anything fancier. Out of spite, I have every time sent in a crash report when the wizzard comes up, but the latest version still seems to be the original I started with, so with no response to my and I assume everyone else's crash reports. Now looking for a means to simply cycle colors before I decide just to set them to one colour somehow.
says it's super easy, goes over how to download, then says now just make a bootable usb drive and skips how to make the usb drive...
Where is Ghost Sixtyseven nowadays? I can't find his channel anywhere on UA-cam.
Hi. Do you offer this repair service. I have the same deck
DUTCH SINGLES CHART WEEK OF AUGUST 4, 1984 NEW NUMBER 1 / LW 2
Listening on Genelec 8030b's in a small, bad room to check my hearing after listening to some badly recorded youtube videos ( I know, not ideal). I thought my hearing was damaged but this has reassured me ( a little), that it probably isn't. I'm used to BBC voice quality and this is very much in that area.
OpenRGB is more fun when you’ve installed the Effects plugin.
Not quite what I was looking for I configured dolphin to open a folder with sftp, but it does not seem to allow a "open terminal here"
This was great and everything worked correctly. Thanks for making the effort to help others!
I can still hear a very audible hiss. An iPhone may have done a better job.😢
Judie Tzuke is a totally underrated artist. Her music exemplifies & captures a raw emotional power that she subtly conveys with warmth, emotion & depth. Her music & her lyrics remain as alluring today as when first heard.......
Social media may think she's underrated, that word & RIP gets churned out on UA-cam by Millennials who think the 21st C is the only one. She was big in the 20th Century. Go on, say the Beatles are underrated 😅.
Ian's bird says, beautiful album use to play it when I was 13 with headphones on full blast . Superb superstar .... Stay with me till dawn and understanding r just truly beautiful songs. This album I play every week and I am now 57 and helped me through many a crisis xxx
This and the debut album are just amazing.
They're all amazing.
It's worth to try and if it not lasts.... buy a new one.
A big fan of judies😊
I've seen her a few times, the last time was at The Sage in Gateshead.
Great, thank you,
We don't measure, just use feeeeeling 😅 and MSG.
This method is a relay killer, never use abrasive paper, the life of the relay decreased dramatically after this type of "restoring". To clean the contacts, use simple printer paper impregnated with alcohol or acetone, it must be rubbed until contact shines! The best solution in this case is to buy a new one.
wonderful album
This will copy multiple partitions? Like the OS and the recovery separate partitions?
The application launcher, is it part of suse?. How do I install the floating applications launcher?
You can also use just plain photocopying paper with Deoxit or contact cleaner. ✌️
Very nice description of Disk to Disk cloning, but nothing on partition cloning from one disk to another as the title suggests.
As a hearing challenged adult, speech can be tricky for me. I have high end hearing aids, air pods, external speakers on my workstation. I'm exploring all the things I can do to help my hearing and understanding speech.
yep, the best one for linux.
I have SONY p99x with built in equalizer. When I turn on my unit, it first makes a click sound when power button is pressed, then it makes a second click sound after 1 or 2 seconds. Today it did not make a second click and is not producing any sound. Interestingly, Its turning on, all the lights and buttons are normally functioning. Equalizer lights are moving up and down with music BUT no sound. I noticed that when it makes the second click, sound is produced, when no 2nd click, no sound. What can be the fault? What is producing that 2nd click, capacitor, relay or else?
AWESOME !!!!! thank you !!!!
I would NEVER use sand paper on relays. Just paper and contact cleaner
After watching the video, I drilled 4 tiny holes from each side and sprayed the Deoxit. It worked and my Marantz 2238B works likes new. Thanks for the video.
I first heard Judie Tzuke in 1982 and Still listen to her today.(I actually was listening to RITMO Today🤷♂️) I have every one of her albums on Vinyl with my own personal favourites being:- 1,I am the Phoenix 2,Welcome to the Cruise 3,Shoot The Moon Cracking Voice,Great lyrics and Massively Underrated. Also Getting a second wind with Beverley Craven and Julia Fordham and their Songs as a threesome need a Listen to as I was massively impressed with what they have done together.
I always thought Beverley Craven had a very similar sound and range to Judie Tzuke. A bit like Gabriel and Collins.
I have cut my mid basses band to 45-to-235hz. If I play this little bit louder than normal speech say plus 6db am I supposed to hear the natural chest boom of humans. Currently I can hear it and I'm wondering if there was anything other like that in the original recording or if all of it is natural chest tone.
When at the very end, and you said to reboot...I yanked out the usb drive and rebooted. Please give a warning before that we are supposed to leave it. In fact warn that if we aren't comfortable with comand prompt lynux type stuff, that this shouldn't even be done. I should have never used clonezilla, when there are other normal programs. I lost my C drive partition doing this, and it wasn't even the partition I was cloning.
I'm just cloning my 1TB M.2 drive (laptop) to 2TB M.2 (USB 3.1 adapter). The process is 100%, but for 4 hours I "watch" - syncing... 😞😓😩
Ive been using linux on my raspberry pi4 and its been a blast to use always loved linux more than windows and learning linux is really fun its odd cus i hate learning but linux ive always wanted to learn more of it, anyway thanks for showing me how to setup keybindings
Voice is clear but there is a hiss in the background, i bleive thats normal though maybe. i use DT990 pro's 250 ohm with a Schiit Magni Heresy AMP.
It's a soft recording with a lot of gain so that does push up the noise floor. 990s have some hf lift which also expose this
Very useful. On my airpods pro I can hear the following. (1) a hiss - for want of a better word, it's maybe better described as a continuous warm ambient airy sound (not high frequency as implied by the word hiss, but I don't have the vocab to describe it!) - this is definitely in the original anechoic chamber recording as well as the introduction (two different noise signatures), as opposed to my airpods / laptop sound card / youtube encoding and I know this because there's a very short gap between the two recordings at 0:58 where it completely disappears. Maybe it's just microphone / air noise, which is otherwise removed during mastering / compression of vocal tracks, but not in this case? I am glad if that is true, we are getting the real audio from the microphone with a pre-amp but no annoying signal processing that would further colour the sound. And (2) the airpods very frustratingly add this kind of presence which manifests itself as a kind of doubling-up of the main audio with slight delay. It's really annoying and I have noticed it watching other spoken word stuff on UA-cam. I wish I could stop it. Apart from those things, I really like listening to audio through airpods pro, they are great. That's from someone who NEVER liked inserting things into my ears before as I found in-ear headphones uncomfortable. These are pretty nice to wear for longer periods.
Just managed to turn off that presence in my Windows Audio settings. Now it sounds distinctly more mono, but that's fine because I presume it is mono, fact is I think I'm getting pure sound now. So thanks to this upload I was able to identify a problem then resolve it! Also I liked the discussion about brains being conditioned to enjoy harsh sounds that grabs the listener. I have always believed this. It's why I still enjoy Radio 3 which actively rejects that way of recording.
Nice
Hey as of 2022 changing own_window_type to 'dock' doesn't work for me anymore. What should I do?
Why aren't you still making UA-cam videos? What happened to you? I found out about you thru DistroTube, and now, there's not much new stuff. I viewed a few videos and you've got awesome content.
Hi, thanks for the comments :) More windows than Linux these days unfortunately so not so much to makes videos but I do use a raspberry pi with debian regularly. I will be reviving the channel soon.
I have 3backlight membrane keyword (RGB) can i change profile colors with this software?
This is a good media player! I normally use Lollypop player as its feature rich but don't have the wave thing unfortunately.
I don't get it!
Don't get what?
It sounds natural, I really like it.
