At 12:40 where he says that the divine feminine is secondary... or can be secondary to you because you are a man. There's so so so much theology that relates to what men will do in the eternities. We women want to know what our role will be. All we can find is D&C 132, which tells us that we'll be given to a righteous man. But what do we contribute? So many of us want to add to the conversation. In the temple, there are no women involved in the creation. I have a degree in geology. I LOVE the earth. I would be a great asset in the creation of worlds. We don't speak to Heavenly Mother. Is that my destiny? To never be spoken to or spoke of by my children? My husband will have temples built to worship him and I will be invisible. Forever. And don't give me the whole "God is protecting Heavenly Mother!" If she's a goddess, let her shine. If she's a goddess, she can take it. She can defend herself. Or at the very least, be at the battle's front. Not stuck in the kitchen.

If we want to understand the Book of Mormon, let us look to the prophets and apostles and let us seek out the guidance of the Holy Ghost and personal revelation. I appreciate brother Butler. He is a very studious man. But I think it is better to follow those who have the keys of the Kingdom. I have been through his book and he makes a large number of assumptions and leaps of logic, seeming to read intimations of worshiping Heavenly Mother in almost every passage he reviews. I don't agree with his condemnation of King Josiah, among others.

Ther book of Mormon has never been proven or validated by any historians or archeologists. Not one artifact has been found. Gods salvation is really enough, to try to add to it or take away from it, such as with Books of Mormonism, it is really minimizing Jesus Christ and His purpose, External efforts may seem like a noble thing to do but, Jesus is sufficient and His works are sufficient, we can become like Him without ceremonies, temples, priesthoods, added doctrine, etc, we have Jesus Christ our Sovereign and eternal, glorious Savior. 2Tim 3:15 You have known the sacred writings, are able to give you wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ.

I got this from someone really doing some research on the BOM that made me wonder. I'm feeling like the fruits are good in many areas except in places like Ether (first 5 chapters are interesting and Moroni's 12th chapter) but I'm really wondering how much of the BOM was plagiarized other than creative imagination mingled with scripture. Check this out... At somewhere around the 20ish minute message mark of the Callister video I reviewed, Callister begins raving about the Olive tree account in the book of Jacob in BoM: "Does anyone really believe that Joseph Smith dictated this off the top of his head?" Actually we don't! The ideation from the olive tree parable is simple: Romans 11:16-23 - Paul uses an olive tree. What are the clues here? Clue #1: Ensign ran an article on this allegory in August 1988. Toward the end of the article, mostly about Jacob 5, it closes (2nd & 3rd sentences from end) with this: • “Then how blessed will be those who have labored diligently in the vineyard, and how cursed will be those who are cast out! (See Jacob 6:2-3.) Recalling the mercy of God, who ‘stretches forth his hands unto them all the day long’ (Jacob 6:4), Jacob again exhorts his people not to reject the words of the prophets concerning Christ.” Well, where did Smith nab this line below and insert into Jacob 6:4? • “…he stretches forth his hands unto them all the day long; and they are a stiffnecked and a gainsaying people;” • Where? (It comes from Romans 10:21-the very last verse from chapter 10 and only 16 sentences away from when Paul starts talking about “branches” in 11:16) • Romans 10:21: “…All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.” {Smith uses the EXACT same words: “all…day long…stretches forth (his/my) hands…gainsaying people who are stiffnecked/disobedient.} So by Romans 11:17 (clue #2) , Paul says: • “And if some of the branches be BROKEN OFF, and thou, being a WILD olive tree, wert GRAFTED in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;” … (v. 20): “They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith” • So, of course, in Jacob 5:30, Smith is ALSO discussing “broken off branches” and a grafting process: “And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard and the servant went down into the vineyard; and they came to the tree whose natural branches had been BROKEN OFF, and the WILD branches had been GRAFTED in; and behold all sorts of fruit did CUMBER the tree. So Paul moves on to talking about “sparing” in v. 21 (clue #3) : • “For if God did not SPARE the natural branches, neither will he SPARE you. (v. 21) • And Smith matches that with his lines about sparing: But, behold, the servant said unto the Lord of the vineyard: SPARE it a little longer. 51 And the Lord said: Yea, I will SPARE it a little longer, for it grieveth me that I should lose the trees of my vineyard.” (5:50-51)” So Paul moves next to the cutting and grafting process (clue #4) : • “Otherwise you too will be CUT OFF. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.” (Romans 11:22-24) • Well, Smith brings in “cutting”: "And thou beheldest that I also CUT DOWN that which CUMBERED this spot of ground, that I might plant this tree in the stead thereof.” (Jacob 5:44) (And he goes on and on about grafting-mentioning “graft” 23 times and “grafted” 8 times!) So where did Smith nab this Biblical word “cumbered” from? (Clue #5) • “…why cumbereth it the ground?” (Luke 13:7) • “…they shall not cumber the ground…” (Jacob 5:49) • “…that they cumber not the ground…” (Jacob 5:66) So Smith works “cumber” (5x) and “cumbered” (once) into the narrative. But he didn’t stop with Luke 13:7. No, he had to work in Luke 13:8 about digging and dunging: • “…I shall dig about it, and dung it:” (Luke 13:8) • “…I have digged about it… and I have dunged it…” (Jacob 5:47) • “…dig about them, and prune them, and dung them…” (Jacob 5:64) • “…dug about it, and dunged it;” (Jacob 5:76) And this passage was EXACTLY referenced in my first comment in this thread about Smith using an immediate “rebound” technique where he goes into overdrive mode to simply repeat and fill up space! You see a good communicator knows not to inundate the listener/reader with endless repetition. Yet Smith does that by taking an eight-verse allegory by Paul in Romans 11, mixing in a little about digging and dunging from Luke 13:7-8, and pruning branches from John 15:2. (Clue #6) Yet in a 77-verse chapter, how many times do we see the following words? • Vineyard: 92 (Jesus IS the Vine, and the Father the Husbandman in KJV, John 15:1…and a pruning process in the vineyard is described starting in v. 2…and Jesus mentions bearing fruit in verses 2, 4, 5, and 8). So, has does this overkill continue to play out in a mere 77-verse span (Clue #7 about Smith's overwrought story-telling tendancies)? (Words listed by # of mentions) • Branch/branches (102 times: Branch 54; Branches 48) • Tree (68) • Fruit (67) • Servant (35) • Nourish/nourished (34: Nourish: 19; Nourished 16...btw, Smith was no "dummy" on this process...he uses these two words 34 times...in modern versions of Romans 11:17, "fatness" is describing as a "nourishing root." • Graft 23 • Root 23 • Wild 21 • Israel 18 • Olive 10 • Prune 9 • Cumber/cumbered 6 I mean, Jacob just got done saying in 4:1: • “…I cannot write but a little of my words, because of the difficulty of engraving our words upon plates” So despite these very difficulties, Jacob is going to overwork these 13 keywords into this allegory 508 times in 76 verses? Really?

    8. The Book of Mormon does not advocate the temple work as promoted in Mormonism. Tenth President Joseph Fielding Smith is cited in an official church manual as saying, If you want salvation in the fullest, that is exaltation in the kingdom of God, … you have got to go into the temple of the Lord and receive these holy ordinances which belong to that house, which cannot be had elsewhere. No man shall receive the fullness of eternity, of exaltation alone; no woman shall receive that blessing alone; but man and wife, when they receive the sealing power in the temple of the Lord, shall pass on to exaltation, and shall continue and become like the Lord. And that is the destiny of men, that is what the Lord desires for His children (Joseph Fielding Smith, Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Fielding Smith, 2013, p. 221. Ellipsis in original). Seventeenth President Russell M. Nelson stated, Temple ordinances, covenants, endowments and sealings enable individuals to be reconciled with the Lord and families to be sealed beyond the veil of death. Obedience to temple covenants qualifies us for eternal life - the greatest gift of God to man (“Eternal life comes from obedience to temple ordinances,” Church News, April 7, 2001, p. 10). Yet Alma 32:36 states, “And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell” (also see Alma 7:21; Helm. 4:24). While the Book of Mormon does mention temples in several places, there is no BOM evidence for any of the ordinances or practices found in current LDS temples, including: • Washings and Annointings • Baptisms for the dead • Special handshakes (tokens) • New names • Marriages for time and eternity • Celestial rooms As far as as the secrecy found in the temple, the Book of Mormon seems to teach against this. Second Nephi 26:22 says, “And there are also secret combinations, even as in times of old, according to the combinations of the devil, for he is the founder of all these things.” Secrecy is criticized in Helaman 6:22: “And it came to pass that they did have their signs, yea, their secret signs, and their secret words.” Mormons might say that their temple is “sacred, not secret,” but as one LDS historian put it: While some members will claim that Mormon temples are “sacred not secret,” [church historian Richard] Bushman said that “temples are secret, plain and simple,” noting that even members “don’t speak to each other about it.” (“Seek understanding, not converts, Bushman urges Mormons,” Deseret News, March 6, 2008). 9. The Book of Mormon is silent about beneficial health codes (i.e. Word of Wisdom). Eighth President George Albert Smith said, I sometimes wonder if Latter-day Saints realize that [the Word of Wisdom] has been given to us for our exaltation; not only for our temporal blessing, but to prepare us for spiritual life (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: George Albert Smith, 2011, p. 207. Brackets in original). How has the Word of Wisdom been defined? We actually see it has changed over the years. In 1868, for instance, George Q. Cannon-a member of the First Presidency-stated, We are told, and very plainly too, that hot drinks-tea, coffee, chocolate, cocoa and all drinks of this kind are not good for man . . . We must not permit them to drink liquor or hot drinks, or hot soups or to use tobacco or other articles that are injurious (Journal of Discourses 12:221, 223). This is such an important principle that, according to one church manual: We must obey the Word of Wisdom to be worthy to enter the temple. If we do not obey the Word of Wisdom, the Lord’s Spirit withdraws from us (Gospel Principles, 2009, p. 167). However, the Book of Mormon only uses “Word of Wisdom” once, in Moroni 10:9: “For behold, to one is given by the Spirit of God, that he may teach the word of wisdom.” This is obviously talking about spiritual gifts and a “word” of wisdom, just as the next verse says “word of knowledge.” Never does the Book of Mormon condemn any substance. A Latter-day Saint not holding to this health law today could result in having “the Lord’s Spirit withdraw from us,” which certainly sounds very serious. As Smith said above, it “has been given to us for our exaltation.” How come God wasn’t so concerned for both the temporal as well as the eternal salvation for the ancient Nephites and Lamanites? If these things are unhealthy today, were they not also unhealthy in earlier days? And, if the LDS Church is a “restoration” of biblical Christianity, where does the Bible teach against “hot” drinks or eating meat only in times of famine? (Answer: It doesn’t.) 10. The Book of Mormon does not claim that there was a preexistence where all spirits lived. Third President John Taylor said, We know that our spirits existed with the Father before we came here (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: John Taylor, 2001, p. 187). A seminary teacher’s manual explains, We lived with Heavenly Father before we came to earth. We are His spirit children, and He wants us to have the same joy that He has by becoming like Him (see Jeremiah 1:5; Romans 8:16; Hebrews 12:9) (Old Testament Seminary Teacher Resource Manual, 2003, p. 16). Another one says, All those who chose in the premortal life to follow Heavenly Father’s plan gain a physical body by being born on this earth.” During our mortal life, we are tested to see whether we are willing to live by faith and obey Heavenly Father’s commandments when we are not in His physical presence (see Alma 34:32; Abraham 3:24-26) (Endowed from on High Temple Preparation Teacher’s Manual, 2003, p. 4). If the preexistence is a true teaching and even valid for those who lived in Book of Mormon times, then it is strangely silent in the pages of the Book of Mormon. 11. From the days of Brigham Young until 1978 the priesthood was withheld from Black people, therefore eliminating their ability to be sealed in the temple and participate in ordinances required for exaltation in the celestial kingdom. They also could not baptize their own children and bless their homes, or give blessings to others. A comparison of three examples from the Book of Mormon shows that the words "black" and "white" in this context mean "wicked" and "righteous" Marvin Perkins notes a pattern that indicates that the words "black and white" in the Book of Mormon are synonymous with "wicked and righteous" and "out of the church or in the church".[1] 2 Nephi 26:33: and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile. Alma 1:30: and they did not set their hearts upon riches; therefore they were liberal to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, whether out of the church or in the church, having no respect to persons as to those who stood in need Alma 11:44: Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous Perkins concludes, Now, in Alma 1:30 and behold “…they did not set their hearts upon riches; therefore they were liberal to all, both old and young,” (there’s your pattern) “…bond and free… male and female, whether out of the church or in the church,” There’s your black or white. How about Alma 11: 44? “Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free… male and female,” (again, there’s your pattern) “both the wicked and the righteous.” Notes Marvin Perkins, "Blacks in the Scriptures," 2013 FairMormon Conference (7 August 2014). cks in the Scriptures," In the BOM… There are some serious problems with the law of Moses not being interpreted correctly, that’s being false doctrine according to the Old Testament. Messiah, chapter 2, verse three says, and they took of the first lines of the flocks, that they might offer sacrifices and burn offerings according to the law, Moses. At first glance, the verse might seem benign, but Lamb explained who is an author, the law Moses teaches that the first lines of the flocks were never offered as burnt offerings or sacrifices. All first lines belong to the Lord and could not be counted as man’s personal property, whereas all burnt offerings or sacrifices for sin of every kind must be selected from man’s own personal property or be purchased with his own money. for that purpose. While all firstlings of the flock, as the Lord’s property, came into the hands of the high priest, and by him could be offered up as a peace offering, not as a burnt offering, or a sin offering, himself and family eating the flesh. (See Ex. 13:2,12 and 22: 29,30; Numb. 3:13; 2d Sam. 24: 24; Numb. 18: 15-18 and other places.) Conclusion Again, it all comes down to the Book of Mormon. Is it really the “most correct book on earth”? Or is it not? It can’t be both. A Mormon should be concerned for the lack of support in the Book of Mormon for the many current and essential teachings of the LDS Church. If this scripture is not being followed, then why does the church so often emphasize the importance of reading it regularly?

    4. The Book of Mormon is silent on the teaching that marriage is a requirement for a person to gain celestial glory. Joseph Smith said: Except a man and his wife enter into an everlasting covenant and be married for eternity, while in this probation, by the power and authority of the Holy Priesthood, they will cease to increase when they die; that is, they will not have any children after the resurrection. But those who are married by the power and authority of the priesthood in this life, and continue without committing the sin against the Holy Ghost, will continue to increase and have children in the celestial glory (History of the Church 5:391). Yet, except for reciting Matthew 5:32 in 3 Nephi 12:32 and two other places (3 Nephi 22:1, 4 Nephi 11), the concept of marriage is ignored. This seems strange when it is considered how vital marriage is to Mormons today. If God thought marriage was so important, surely he would have wanted the Nephites to know about this. 5. The Book of Mormon teaches that, generally, polygamy is wrong. Second LDS President Brigham Young taught: The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy (August 19, 1866, Journal of Discourses 11:269). Men marrying multiple women was practiced in the latter-half of the 19th century and considered an “essential” doctrine for any man who wanted to gain exaltation. It was never intended by these early leaders to have this practice abolished, as future fourth President Wilford Woodruff said, If we were to do away with polygamy, it would only be one feather in the bird, one ordinance in the Church and kingdom. Do away with that, then we must do away with prophets and Apostles, with revelation and the gifts and graces of the Gospel, and finally give up our religion altogether and turn sectarians and do as the world does, then all would be right. We just can’t do that, for God has commanded us to build up His kingdom and to bear our testimony to the nations of the earth, and we are going to do it, come life or come death. He has told us to do thus, and we shall obey Him in days to come as we have in days past ( December 12, 1869, Journal of Discourses 13:166). Mormonism no longer teaches plural marriage for this life despite the fact that it was such an important teaching in the 19th century. Polygamy is contrary to what the Book of Mormon teaches: Jacob 2:24-30: Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord. Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, I have led this people forth out of the land of Jerusalem, by the power of mine arm, that I might raise up unto me a righteous branch from the fruit of the loins of Joseph. Wherefore, I the Lord God will not suffer that this people shall do like unto them of old. Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none; For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts. Wherefore, this people shall keep my commandments, saith the Lord of Hosts, or cursed be the land for their sakes. For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things. Jacob 3:5: Behold, the Lamanites your brethren, whom ye hate because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skins, are more righteous than you; for they have not forgotten the commandment of the Lord, which was given unto our father- that they should have save it were one wife, and concubines they should have none, and there should not be whoredoms committed among them. Never once does the Book of Mormon say polygamy would be allowed unless it was necessary to “raise up seed” (Jacob 2:30). History does not say that polygamy was ever needed for this reason, despite the belief of many that there were more women than men in the pioneering days. For more on this, go to Was Polygamy Necessary in the 19th Century Because There were More Women than Men? 6. The Book of Mormon never claims that humans or Jesus are the literal offspring of God and his heavenly wife. Apostle Boyd K. Packer said, The Father is the one true God. This thing is certain: no one will ever ascend above Him; no one will ever replace Him. Nor will anything ever change the relationship that we, His literal offspring, have with Him” (Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled, p. 293). BYU Professor Stephen E. Robinson explained, The official doctrine of the Church is that Jesus is the literal offspring of God. He’s got 46 chromosomes; 23 came from Mary, 23 came from God the eternal Father (As cited in the DVD The Mormon Puzzle, produced by the Southern Baptist Convention, 1997). Someone please point to a verse where such unique LDS teaching was ever given. Hint: It’s not there. 7. The Book of Mormon teaches it’s impossible to do vicarious work for the dead. Fourteenth President Howard W. Hunter explained, Furthermore, the dead are anxiously waiting for the Latter-day Saints to search out their names and then go into the temples to officiate in their behalf, that they may be liberated from their prison house in the spirit world” (“A Temple-Motivated People,” Ensign, March 2004, p. 41). Fifteenth President Gordon B. Hinckley wrote, Through living proxies who stand in behalf of the dead, the same ordinances are available to those who have passed from mortality. In the spirit world they then are free to accept or reject those earthly ordinances performed for them, including baptism, marriage, and the sealing of family relationships. There must be no compulsion in the work of the Lord, but there must be opportunity (Be Thou an Example, p. 131). Yet Alma 34:32-35 clearly explains that there are no “second-chances” to obtain salvation. It says, 32 For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors. 33 And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed. 34 Ye cannot say, when ye are brought to that awful crisis, that I will repent, that I will return to my God. Nay, ye cannot say this; for that same spirit which doth possess your bodies at the time that ye go out of this life, that same spirit will have power to possess your body in that eternal world. 35 For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold, ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the Spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked. Using this passage, twelfth President Spencer W. Kimball wrote, . . . the time to act is now, in this mortal life. One cannot with impunity delay his compliance with God’s commandments (The Miracle of Forgiveness, p. 10, italics in original). A Mormon who holds that work is efficacious for their dead relatives cannot find any support in the Book of Mormon for these temple practices.

Has anyone ever noticed… Regarding the book that has "the fullness of the ever lasting gospel:... The less rational something is the greater blind faith is required to believe it Top 10 unique Teachings of Mormonism Not Supported by the Book of Mormon By Eric Johnson - Mormon Research Ministries According to Joseph Smith in the History of the Church 4:461: I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book. Just what are those precepts talked about in the Book of Mormon that make it the most correct? If this is the case, then why does Mormonism have so many teachings that are not found in or are even contradicted by the Book of Mormon? Let’s take a look at 10 doctrines of Mormonism with no support in the “most correct” book on earth. 1. The Book of Mormon teaches that there is only one God. BYU Professor Charles Harrell explains: One of the most distinctive doctrines of Mormonism is the belief in a plurality of Gods. This is generally understood to mean that there are innumerable Gods besides (and above) the God that we worship, all of whom are creators of worlds and objects of worship. Furthermore, these Gods were all once human, and just as they attained Godhood, so can we” (“This is my Doctrine”: The Development of Mormon Theology, p. 114). Yet, the Book of Mormon teaches in Alma 11:26-29: 26 And Zeezrom said unto him: Thou sayest there is a true and living God? 27 And Amulek said: Yea, there is a true and living God. 28 Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God? 29 And he answered, No. Second Nephi 31:21 states, And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen. Meanwhile, 3 Nephi 11:27 says, And after this manner shall ye baptize in my name; for behold, verily I say unto you, that the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one; and I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one. Nowhere is a plurality of gods supported in the Book of Mormon. 2. The Book of Mormon teaches God was never a man nor the offspring of another God. Mormonism’s founder Joseph Smith taught: I will go back to the beginning before the world was, to show what kind of being God is. What sort of a being was God in the beginning? Open your ears and hear, all ye ends of the earth, for I am going to prove it to you by the Bible, and to tell you the designs of God in relation to the human race, and why He interferes with the affairs of man. God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret, if the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by his power, was to make himself visible,-I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form-like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man; for Adam was created in the very fashion, image and likeness of God, and received instruction from, and walked, talked and conversed with him, as one man talks and communes with another (Joseph Smith, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345. Italics in original. See also Achieving a Celestial Marriage, p. 129). Yet the Book of Mormon teaches: 3 Nephi 24:6: For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (Same as Malachi 3:6) Mormon 9:9, 19: For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing? . . .And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles. Moroni 7:22: For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting… Moroni 8:18: For I know that God is not a partial God, neither a changeable being; but he is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity. 3. The Book of Mormon teaches that it is impossible for a person to become a god. Joseph Smith said, Here, then, is eternal life-to know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you, namely, by going from one small degree to another, and from a small capacity to a great one; from grace to grace, from exaltation to exaltation, until you attain to the resurrection of the dead and are able to dwell in everlasting burnings, and to sit in glory, as do those who sit enthroned in everlasting power (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 346-347). Yet the Book of Mormon denies this teaching from the LDS founder. Instead, it says that God has always been God while never assuming that humans can evolve into gods. (See verses in #2 above.) While Mormon apologists will use the Bible in their attempt to twist it into saying something it doesn’t say, they never use the Book of Mormon to support this teaching. Again, if it’s the most correct of any book on earth, why didn’t God make this teaching more clear to the ancient Americans and everyone who is encouraged to read the Book of Mormon to gain a burning in the bosom.

Mormons are unwitting worshipers of Satan. before everyone jumps in my comment and gets mad at me, and start yelling that Mormons aren't devil worshipers; first... I didn't say that she knew it, which is why I use the word unwitting. It is unbeknownst to you because it has a thick veneer of how you convey through the avenue of your beliefs, how Christians should behave. I was once a devil worshiper so I see his signature in your church. there's lots of things I've learned about Satan when I stepped away from God; such as, Satan cannot take your soul, it is you that gives it up through conducting yourselves whether conscious or subconsciously, permitting the forfeiture of your soul. despite what we see in movies or reading books, you cannot sell your soul, because it doesn't belong to you. It is because of these two things that Satan has to conduct himself in such a way, that he doesn't appear to be there. Read that last part again. It may seem like an oxymoron but it's not, especially when it comes to Mormons. Another thing that I learned about Satan is that Satan worshipers who actually bow to him, conify the image of a man as part of the physicality of their worship. part of this is what is in scripted on many of the idols of baphomet which says, as above so below. however you conduct yourselves here, and whatever makes you happiest, will be manifested in the afterlife as part of your ideal heaven. in Mormonism they believe in a pre-existence as spirit children, and they are sent to earth to be encapsulated in a human form and to take on the experiences of a mortal life to prove their worthiness to return, and if such actions in this life have been as it had been established by the last dispensation through Joseph Smith, which is believed to have been the intentions of God since the beginning, they will ascend again, and be exalted. allowing them to have their own heaven, with their own throne, amongst their own stars of their own creation, including something similar to Earth, where they will have their own spirit children, and rule amongst them, and they too like we have on Earth, will look to the clouds as the abode of God, just as they have here, And he will become God just like his God was before him. let me show you how eerily similar this is to what Satan wanted for himself. follow with me: how you are falling from heaven oh Lucifer, son of the morning! how you were cut down to the ground, you who have weakened the nations! for you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven. {just like Mormons expect to do after being sent down here to be born of human bodies} I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. {Mormons if they follow the tenants and are found worthy, they themselves expect to become gods which means they would have their own heaven amongst their own stars that they themselves created} I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; {this is referring to Zion which according to scripture is heaven here on earth. The issue here is the only person that could sit there is the Christ who is the physical manifestation of the law. Mormons however have established a new Zion, and Christ being a physical being, unlike his father, is not going to be in two places at once, or we would have seen this demonstrated in the Book of Mormon as a before and after his crucifixion. The closest things that Mormons tried to make parallel between these two is James 10:16 which I will get to later. this new Zion the seat would be empty because Christ already has a Zion which he had promised to Christians} I will send above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. {so everything Satan believes encapsulates God, he wants for himself, which oddly enough it's exactly what you're promised. All the steps are there. Mormons is spirit children descended from heaven, Satan was cast down. Satan said that he will be exalted, which is exactly what Mormons expect to do if they're good a little Mormons. they will have their own throne amongst their own stars, and Satan himself made the affirmative statement that he will also be exalted with his throne above the stars of God. Mormons have established their own Zion, and Satan promised that he will also sit on the Mount of the congregation on the 1st of the size of the North which is also a reference to Zion. Mormons expect to be like God and rule in their own heaven and be like the God that was before them. Satan said he will ascend above the heights of the clouds which would be in heaven and be like the most high, which is what Mormons expect to do when they become Gods. this is not the only connection between Satanism and Mormonism semicolon as I said before Satanist make a big deal about worshiping the flash, because it is the one thing that is or could be dependent on. they don't want put faith in something they can't see. strangely enough you'll also find that most divorce spurs actually claim not to be actual divorce first but atheists. this is a turnabout of Mormonism that claims to be Christian even though they don't worship like Christians, which brings me full circle to the emphasis I put on the worship of man and devil worship, because the Mormon God is a flesh and bone. this is literally no different from what devil worshipers believe, because they are arrested by the idea that Satan is the real God. Mormons put emphasis on things that are man-made which is why they insist on building so many temples around the world. they believe they're acting on an archaic form of religion which man has moved away from what it was intended, which is outlined in many different ways in Mormon theology. their god is also not omnipresent, and of the entities in the scripture, it is only Satan that proves himself to be absent of this omnipresence. this is demonstrated in the account of Job; God already knew what was going to happen and he allowed it, not as a lesson to Job, although I listen for mankind, but more of a lesson for Satan to show him that God can see well into the future. It is only through the Mormon god planet that the Mormon God is omnipresent. your God needs a physical object in order to exercise his godly power. much the same way Joseph Smith portrayed himself as this seer and the use of the Seers stone. Joseph Smith is a cult leader, not a religious icon: He not only places himself as a person of importance several years after writing the Book of Mormon, but he places himself in the Bible post facto as this prophesied seer long after the Book of Mormon had already been written, as well as being partially related to Christ through the line of Jesse who is the father of David. for you Mormons that don't believe me you can look this up in the doctrine and covenants section 113. Book of Isaiah clearly states that there were no gods formed before him and there will be none after. this would imply any such gods that believe following certain tenants, that they will be exalted upon believing they will go to heaven for believing this line of crap. What I can assure every Mormon here is that you are 100% guaranteed to meet the god that you worship.

TWO GREAT MORMON CIVILIZATIONS, WHERE ARE THEY?? The Book of Mormon purports to portray the rise and development of two great civilizations. As to just how great these civilizations were, some excerpts from the Book itself adequately illustrate: "The whole face of the land become covered with buildings, and the people were as numerous almost, as it were the sand of the sea." (Mormon 1:7) "...Fine workmanship of wood, in buildings, and in machinery, and also in iron and cooper, and brass and steel, makings [sic.] all manners of tools..." (Jarom 1:8 and 2 Nephi 5:15) "...grain...silks...cattle...oxen...cows...sheep...swine...goats...horses...asses...elephants..." (see Ether 9:17-19) "...did multiply and spread...began to cover the face of the whole earth, from sea south to sea north, from the sea west to the sea east..." (Heleman 3:8) "...had been slain...two millions" [Jaredites] (see Ether 15:2). "...their shipping and their building of ships, and their building of temples, and of synagogues and their sanctuaries..." (Heleman 3:14, see also 2 Nephi 5:15, 16 and Alma 16:13). "...there were ten more who did fall...with their ten thousand each..." (see Mormon 6:10-15). "...swords...cimeters...breastplates...arm-shields...armor" (see Alma 43:18, 19; 3:5 and Ether 5:15). "...multiplied exceedingly, and spread upon the face of the land, and became exceedingly rich..." (Jarom 1:8). See 3 Nephi 8:9, 10, 14, and 9:4, 5,6, 8: where cities and inhabitants were sunk in the depths of the sea and earth. In addition to the foregoing statements from the Book of Mormon which indicate the tremendous spread of the culture of these races, there are some thirty-eight cities cataloged in the Book of Mormon, evidence that these were indeed mighty civilizations which should, by all the laws of archeological research into the culture of antiquity, have left vast amounts of "finds" to be evaluated. But such is not the case as we shall show. The Mormons have yet to explain the fact that leading archeological researchers not only have repudiated the claims of the Book of Mormon as to the existence of these civilizations, but have adduced considerable evidence to show the impossibility of the accounts given in the Book of Mormon. The Smithsonian Institution of Washington has also added its voice against the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, and I quote: "The Smithsonian Institution has never used the Book of Mormon instead any way as a scientific guide. Smithsonian archeologist see no direct connection between the archeology of the New World and the subject matter of the book. National Geographic had a TV series that lasted for 5 seasons on a new radar scan called "LiDar." National Geographic using LiDar scanned over 800 sq.miles of South America jungle and discover newly found Myan structures that shook the archeological world. But NOTHING was ever mentioned about any ancient Mormon civilizations being discovered. Which doesn't look good for the Book of Mormon archeological claims. And the Mormon church is running out of jungle to prove any archeological evidence to support anything in the Book of Mormon. So Mormons, where are these ancient Mormon civilizations and why haven't the Mormon church paid for more LiDar scans of the jungle to find your ancient Mormon civilizations??

MORMONS REFORMED EGYPTIAN LANGUAGE THAT MAKES UP THE BOOK OF MORMON, DOES NOT EXIST. The Book of Mormon, and work of scripture of the LDS movement, is asserted by both itself and Joseph Smith, the founder of the movement, to have been originally written in the Native American writing system of "reformed Egyptian" characters. Scholars reference works on languages do not acknowledge the existence of either a "reformed Egyptian" language or "reformed Egyptian" script as it was described by Joseph Smith. Therefore is no archeological, linguistic, or other evidence of the use of Egyptian writing in the ancient Americas. MAINSTREAM SCHOLARLY VIEW OF "REFORMED EGYPTIAN. Standard language reference works contain no reference to "reformed Egyptian" and it described with this term only in the Book of Mormon. No non-Mormon scholars acknowledge the existence of either a "reformed Egyptian" language or a "reformed Egyptian" script as it has been described in Mormon belief. For instance, in 1996, John A. Wilson, a professor of Eygyptology at the University of Chicago, wrote, "From time to time there are allegations that picture writing has been found in America [...] In no case has a professional Egyptologist been able to recognize these characters as Egyptian hieroglyphs. From our stand point there is no such language as "reformed Egyptian." Anthropologist Michael D. Coe of Yale University, and expert in pre-Columbian Mesoamerican studies, wrote, "Of all the peoples of the pre-Columbian New World, only the ancient "Maya" had complete script." Fifteen examples of distinct writing systems have been identified in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, many from a single inscription. So Mormons, if "reformed Egyptian" doesn't exist, then, why are you believing in something that doesn't exist??

Have you guys heard of the Second Book of Commandments yet ? Published by the School of the Prophets by United Order Publications Salem Utah through The Lords Foreordained Prophet who was cast out of the LDS Church in 1972 for receiving dictated Revelations from God the Father and Jesus Christ, which started in 1961 through to 2018 having received 275 dictated Revelations which I have been studying for over 3 years since April 2021 , this Foreordained Prophet is called by the Lord to continue where Joseph Smith left off , I must urge and encourage you to study the Book for yourselves, so you can test the spirit behind these Revelations, something which President Kimball never permitted the church or members to do with his Revelation on the Priesthood, the members never even saw that Revelation, and to stress the point, did we ever hear testimony from any of the Prophets ,Seers, and Revelators that we have known, to the effect that they know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the voice which President Kimball heard was the voice of Jesus Christ. No I am extremely confident that we have not and never will hear such a testimony, because that Revelation was a Revelation to the World, for the World, and of the World, and had nothing whatsoever to do with the The Lord Jesus Christ. Why would The Lord give the Prophet a Revelation to drastically change the order of the Priesthood and then instruct that Prophet never to issue that Revelation for the Church, that behaviour is a great folly a nonsense and a Mockery before God. You will recognise the Lords voice in these Revelations if you haven’t already cast them out before hand, with your unbelief. From a member of 41 years 38 active, yes the Prophets from Joseph Smith to Lorenzo Snow are all true, those who came after were Presidents only, with no more dictated Revelations since 1889 135 years.

Indigenous America is/was the furthest thing from a monolithic culture. There are plenty of distinct people groups who flourished and fell. Additionally, the Lehite group was at _most_ what, 20 people? There were other people close by when they arrived--Sherem was one, who "came among the people" and was notable for being able to speak their language (Jacob 7:1-4). And who _knows_ what was lost when smallpox swept through in the 1500s and killed 90% of the native population!

@@JIKOKALOL I was merely trying to point out that "No other civilization ever happened" is too broad of a brush to be painting with, when accounting for more than two millennia of history across an entire continent, and when we aren't even sure exactly where we should be looking. The Wikipedia category "Extinct Native American Tribes" has 102 entries, and those are just the ones we know about! In the case of the Book of Mormon, I would suggest that "absence of evidence should not be taken as evidence of absence" applies.
