It would be awesome if you guys were able to have a discussion with David Taylor to discuss the Book of Mormon and connections to the Ojibwe.

Rod's not really making a case here if the truth matters. Truth is facts past, present, and future, like he says.
But he is only making a case on Book of Mormon geology. Sonething where he has made a career and a lot of money arguing the Heartland Model as truth. He has invested a lot of time and effort into that, so he has a vested interest in it, just like May and others. John Sorenson and others like the Scripture Central "scholars" on the other side, who love their MesoAmerica tours and expeditions, also have financial interests and reputations to protect.
I would counter that not all truth matters to us. It matters if it impacts us or if the Lord tells us it matters. The truth that matters is if the Book of Mormon is fiction or came by divine means, as Joseph Smith claims. Yes, I believe strongly in the latter and have a spiritual testimony of that as the truth. Truth that really matters.
Yes, I believe the Book of Mormon geography began in North America. Yes, it is interesting to me. But I have no stake in it and won't get rich from it. The strongest argument for something like the Heartland Model to me is the 36 prophecies Rod showed and what the scriptures and also Joseph Smith say.
Have you heard of the newly presented Continental Model proposed by a Lance Weaver on Zion Media? Where the BofM happened in both North and Central America? He has done tons of documented research and makes a lot of good arguments for it. That is interesting.
Too bad he's so out there in other videos on things not related to BofM geography.

I hope things get cleared up between you and Chief Midegah. You both are on a good path in my opinion.

I have lived among the Book of Mormon land for 16 years in Erie PA which is literally named for the Eriez Indians. Recently I was traveling thru Central Ohio in the middle of country land. There was a sign about a mound and I had to take a mile detour to go look at it. Truly a testament to me that they were here.

Thank you Rod! All the evidence is wonderful, but the clear discussion here of truth from The Lord himself is MOST important for our testimonies of truth! Keep up the good work! ❤️

I have never believed the Book of Mormon to be true. However if solid peer reviewed archeological evidence were found that verified some of the events were undeniably true..then I have a choice..ignore it..minimalise it..or adjust my beliefs in light of new evidence

@canigetawhatwhat They seem to already be in agreement. Although they do have on guests from the meso model too. Hearing both sides has helped. The Heartland model is the only one that makes sense to me. I appreciate that Rod points out here that the peoples in Central America descend from the mound builders (Nephites). I’ve assumed the same but have nowhere even close to the knowledge this man has. It just makes sense.
