I will admit, a lot of movies and shows I watched as a kid are just better as an adult anyway so I enjoy them more now than I did back then, so we're in the same boat

one of my favorite games of all time, this game got me into transformers as a kid and ive repålayed it maybe 10 times through the years highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who like nature- due to the maps being "real" places all around the world. I learned about so much geography just by playing this game

I love the entire Lilo & Stitch franchise from the 4 movies to the 3 TV shows to the short film of Stitch's Origin to the japanese tv intros to the High School Musical short, and nowadays I'm gonna emulate several videogames, and Aladdin (animated classic) I loved the trilogy, yes, there's a trilogy, Aladdin, Aladdin And The Return Of Jafar, and Aladdin And The King Of Thieves, loved the last one as my favourite of the 3

and I do admit I love the blooper sequences at the credits of most early Pixar movies as they are legit funny, even funnier as an adult cause of the attention to detail with behinds the scenes stuff, it makes it pretty immersive and adds to the humour, it actual was inspired for cut content in Conker's Bad Fur Day, originally they were also gonna do that blooper sequence but had to scrap a rather disturbing cutscene cause N64 wouldn't allow it and they recycled one of those bloopers to replace the scene, ending up with no blooper sequence

I'll also admit both Antz and A Bug's Life have great soundtracks and I do have some favourites in each, A Bug's Life I love the main theme but they reuse it for most of the soundtrack and makes me forget if there was any other music in the film, whereas with Antz I like 2 tracks which happen to be back-to-back in the movie, The Ants Go Marching and Termite War, especially Termite War for how epic yet very serious it is, saying war is not good and these ants are about to die to acid spitting grizzly bear sized termites, there's a fun fact for Ants Go Marching though, if ya listen to the soundtrack version, there's another verse which is cool and makes me wonder why the 4th verse wasn't in the movie, but the song you would think is based on the kids song The Ants Go Marching One By One but it is actually in fact based on an old war song called When Johnny Comes Marching Home, I was surprised actually to find this out and even looked up the war song on UA-cam and it's a pretty catchy tune that's actually a good song

Tuk and Rol the pillbugs that are acrobatic and don't speak English are supposed to be speaking italian cause that was a thing in circuses at one point from research but the film is actually just making them speak gibberish that sounds italian, I was hoping for an actual foreign language to understand what they're saying and get a translation but yeah apparently they didn't actually learn a language for the movie so we'll never understand them sadly and it's a shame, I feel Tuk and Rol have good comedy

I liked both A Bug's Life and DreamWorks Antz growing up but I did like Antz more considering it had more excitement, funnier jokes, better characters, and while I didn't understand the story fully as a kid till I became an adult but I understood some of it prior so I could still enjoy the story but I loved the termite war scene, that was like the most favourite part that I somehow lost the audio on the VHS from watching too many times, so replaced onto disc, as for A Bug's Life I remember it more through the game on PS1 as it was more exciting than the film, I still liked the film but the PS1 game grabbed me more than the movie of A Bug's Life, I did check out the movie again as an adult and I did understand and enjoy it more now but I still prefer Antz more but I'll still watch both so in the end I didn't change my opinion but learned to appreciate the films more and understand them more, the game is still fun to play, I never got to finish it cause as a kid I was getting off for the night cause my parents told me to, I was on the second final level so on the way to the real bird in the rain with Hopper on my tail, but when I got off and was gonna finish tomorrow, I was about to put it away and accidentally dropped it, the disc cracked, I was so close, my parents promised to replace it and they never did, so for many years I never got to finish and only now am I able to emulate it to even finish it, I will have to start over sadly but it's been 20 years and I'm 26 now so yeah gonna need to start over regardless, not only was I on the second final level but I also was getting 100% on every level so that was more heartbreaking to know that I wouldn't be able to finish that hard work, the game wasn't that hard but it's like some games like the platformers of the 90s, completing casually was easy but if ya wanted more challenge then try to collect all the collectibles and bonus challenges and some difficulty would shine through, so maybe one day I'll finish this game, who knows, but anyways both movies and the game are good

wait, a Nickelodeon show that was really good but cancelled after one season? where have I seen that before? oh yeah, RAINBOW BUTTERFLY UNICORN KITTY!!!!! they put this show on the Nicktoons channel instead of Nickelodeon, no one had nicktoons, there was merch for this show, once it aired on Nickelodeon after the cancellation, it was a bigger success than the Unikitty cartoon, but the damage was already done and I'm furious that they cancelled this show, and worst part is it's near impossible to find a complete and working version online here in Canada, in the US you just go to Paramount+ and you're good, not in Canada cause P+ removed most Nickelodeon content from the Canada version, so looking online most copies had broken audio on some episodes, some episodes missing, or both, only one website had it all recorded off of TV from the time of airing and actually works and has all episodes, only downside is no HD quality and watermarks, but I'd rather have those so I can at least watch all 26 episodes, but there's also no DVD or BluRay release, WHAT?! ARE YOU F@#$ING KIDDING ME NICKELODEON YOU CORPORATE SACKS OF S@#$! why do companies not like any good shows that make them money?!

The fact that a Looney Tunes fighting game only has 4 characters is probably the most disappointing part. You could easily make a 20 character roster out of Looney Tunes, but 10 should have been the minimum, like in the original Power Stone.

As someone who grew up playing the GameCube version, I recently played the PS3 version and my thoughts mirror yours. One big flaw I found that you missed is that unlike the GameCube version, some of the collectables are permanently missable if you forget them in certain mission-exclusive areas of levels and especially the introduction level (Somewhere in France), which you can't replay in the PS3 version, unlike the GameCube version, meaning you can be locked out of getting 100% on your save file.

As for why the PC version was based on the last gen Asobo version rather than HD Heavy Iron version, it would have been to target lower end hardware. The game would have of course mainly been bought by families and children and especially in 2007, that kind of market would have more likely had weaker PCs which weren’t exactly geared towards gaming. So as a move to make the game as accessible as possible to its target demographic and to maximise profits, it made more sense to port over the less demanding version of the game.

I am multiple years late but I would like to make a quick correction. Attack of the Toybots was not the first Nicktoons game to come out in Japan. The DS version of Volcanic Island also got a Japanese release. It can definitely be easy to miss because the Japanese boxart for Volcanic Island is literally just a close up of Spongebob and the thing that makes this extra confusing is that Creature from the Krusty Krab also had the exact same boxart in Japan. They just came out on different systems (with Creature from the Krusty Krab being on PS2 and Wii and Volcanic Island being on DS).

imagine how easily a game would sale if you were just a wall-e unit cleaning up the world... just cleaning it up. could spend a month playing co-op with your friends to stack a single 100m cube, like those towers in the movie. Could even eventually make the towers... even if the pacing wasn't so brutal, it would have the traits of the power wash sim and the like that people enjoy.

This and Casper. Theyre the ONLY two movie videogames where I have nostalgia for thr movie AND the game. Casper might be a fluke. Ot might just be memories of watching the movie (and the sequals 2 and 3), begging to get stuffed crust pizza bc the uncles convinced me that eating pizza backwards was cool, AND finding out that my babysitter always told us that if we wrre good, she'd let us stay up 10 minutes later to watch her play the casper game... but still. These two games? Absolutely phrnominal for a videogame adaptation of a movie.

This was a game I played a lot growing up. My siblings found a weird glitch/beta/secret room in the 2nd or 3rd area. It's the dingy level where those slingshot kids keep throwing rocks at you and call you names, and you need to "flush" them in these weird hatch traps. I don't remember all the details of how to access it, but I remember it was in a back corner of the stage by one of those hatch traps, I want to say near the wall where that robot guy is in the boxing arena. You jump and fall down into the abyss behind/around/next to that hatch, and you are stuck on the loading screen for what feels like an eternity before it finally loads you in a strange enclosed circular room full of chickens. There is no way out, no menu exit, no items. You have to restart the game to exit
