Im late to the party but I respectfully request you hear me out (im not here to throw a tantrum but state my point). The reason I personally disdain the "femstodes" situation is that it has no lore relevance whatsoever. It was a change made specifically due to outside IRL politicization of a fictional franchise. Warhammer has Sisters of Battle, Silent Sisters, Rogue Traders, Guardsman (from privates to Lord Generals), and many other representations of bad ass females baked in already. The change was lazy and unnecassary and immediately reads as a political instertion. Why this matters is because of what Warhammer is, a fictional universe. A universe that has existed for 40 years with active participation from many people who use warhammer as their fun escapist hobby. We participte in this universe exclusively as a fun activity away from the troubles of the real world. Like you mention in the beginning of your video some of us have families, taxes, responsibilities, and the weight of years burdening us down daily. The news is full of stories of division, controversy, hate, and generally bad news. Warhammer is a complete universe seperate from that where we can lose ourselves in tales of valor, brutality, hope, sadness, and many other emotions that make us feel something bit can be turned off by closing the book or setting down the models. It may sound silly but listening to Warhammer audio books, and painting models was a huge part of keeping me sane personally while in the middle east. The hobby has engraved itself into the lives of many people over the years and has kept itself out of the controversial limelight that has engulfed many other forms of media. Its hard to describe over text but the TLDR I suppose is that I dont want to be reminded of IRL politics (whether I agree or not) in the very limited hobby time i have these days. You also cannot just ignore it due to the disintegration of the community these days. Take the Imperium of Man FB page, its 90% Guilliman and Yvraine *coughs* fan art. It was funny the first few times but it is truly anger inducing at this point. The community use to be a place where people joked about their favorite factions, made memes about others factions, questioned lore theories, and discussed ganeplay elements. Now it is mostly clickbait and *fan art*. If anyone raises concerns reapectfully or disrespectfully they get called racist, bigot, misogynistic, and a myriad of other names that are not true in a vast majority of cases. Just make it make sense in the universe and were cool, but insert politicized b.s. for the purpose of "inclusivity" for no other reason than appeasing a vocal minority who know nothing of the universe and the representation included therein and there is a problem. I'm gonna narc on myself, for a while I was using the old front rank fire second rank fire rules where it just doubled your shots, making my gaurdsmen get four shots not three shots like the current rules should have had them, and because I don't play against any guard no one called me out and I only accidentally found out I was doing it wrong by accident.

All these combat patrol rankings are wrong now because the new guard patrol is CLEARLY the worst by a mile. Clearly just trying to offload all the stock of horseys that no one wants.

I shouldn't have to remember all your proxy choices.. WYSIWYG is the best way to play competitively.. I care less in narrative games, but for the flavor and easy of play I prefer it enough if you drag entire army of proxied weapons I'm less likely to keep you around my table or play you.

I was new to the game in the 9th edition, and I was playing Astra Militarum. The guy who was teaching me the game was playing Grey Knights. At the time, I thought I had chosen the worst army in the world because I would be rolling straight 4+ to hit and wound and dealing absolutely massive damage, but his knights wouldn't die. He'd always say he had some ability or ridiculous save or even was able to avoid the attack entirely due to a rule that doesn't exist. I will never understand his reasonings for wanting to absolutely stomp someone who he got into the game and was literally still just learning how to roll the dice. XD

I always accidentally do the hiding dice role thing because I always throw dice off the table or hit the opponents models smh my head so I go retardant mode and roll it behind buildings sometimes. If I become lucid I tell them results and ask them if they want to check and apologize. I need to play more games, I only have maybe 4 games under my belt I need a dice tray lol

Any very polarized topic is essential in a positive feedback loop of negativity because any moderate person interested in actual discussion sees toxicity and is like "nahhh ill leave those guys alone" so then fewer and fewer people end up in any given discussion.

Wysiwyg and model for advantage stuff is why I only play casually with friends. I love to go all out with my modeling and basing, not for any tactical advantage, but because I like my minis to look cool. I would hate to be accused of cheating foe having a cool looking mini. Similarly, Wysiwyg sucks because I don't have the time or money to have a separate unit for every option I may want to take and magnetizing options really limits how you can pose your models.

Had a dude move models with his belly MULTIPLE TIMES. Then when I called him on it he says “do you need to step out and have a breather?” My guy you just gained a 5 inch move from your fat cells bumping your models. REPEATEDLY

The fact that Warhammer uses tape measures instead of a grid system is just unbelievably stupid. Why would you make such an important aspect of the game so imprecise and so unstandardized?

Movement phase has always been the worst for me. Guys measure 6 or 12 inches and then adding an inch every time they move a figure. I'm all for general movement to speed the game along, but when I'm timing a charge or something it's annoying to suddenly come up 2 inches short when I know it wasn't possible for them to not be in range...

Uhhh poxwalkers absolutely have 5+ feel no pain. Its in the warhammer app that gets updated when rules change.
