Red cabbage is good in anything cabbage. I like it fresh cut added to salad, stir fry, not a fan of any slaw but I hear it's good blended w/regular cabbage, stuffed and more.

Yes Ma'am I'm in Houston, Tx, the heat has halted the harvest. Now the rain has cause the temperatures to drop & things are trying to pick up. I have small container garden and my harvest has been peppers & okra. Waiting on tomatoes and cucumbers blossoms to fruit and squash on third replant. I'm hanging in there, my 3rd year each year I increase my # of plants but my harvest about the same. I wait to late to start & the heat and drought overtake but I'm waiting, I'm persevering because the storm is almost gone 👏🙏🍅🥒🌶🫑🍆🧅. Tfs!

Glad you got your green beans! The peppers you’re asking about seem more like birds eye peppers. It’s an Indian chili pepper. Thai peppers are very hot even at their green stage and they are long and slender. But they do have a nice flavor. I’d look up birds eye and see if that looks like what you grew. Cabbage and heading lettuces are my struggle crops. I am determined to get a good head of cabbage this coming Fall.

Thank for encouraging first and second year Gardner's because I am first year and get so discouraged even though I have such small harvest. It is pitiful.compared to some. My family is like thought there was gonna be more I just don't know how to answer. Just tell them it.will get better. Yes God is in ,charge I think this my test to see if I give up.

Thanks for the encouraging words to new gardeners- I love the analogies you made to compare gardening to destinations- it is truly a journey and year one is experimental, year two is exploration and year three is when you really get going ... that's been my experience- I started in pots on my deck, then built two raised beds and then an inground bed and now year 6, I have two inground beds and 10 raised beds in a suburban setting. Each year the experience builds and so does your garden. As for the scarlett runner beans, my last three years they were hugely productive- this year, not at all so do not give up on these plants- this year my beans are half way up the poles at 5 ft versus 8 feet and producing last year this time. I would not give up on this bean and please try again next year- the plant is beautiful and the beans are huge and worth growing :)

Im so glad you got your green beans! I did a whole bed of nothing but green beans. Had to replant them, and they are all coming up, alhamdulillah(all praise is due to God)! I want to try paprika next year, in sha Allah(God willing). I'll have to research where to get the seeds from. My broccoli seeds aren't germinating, & these are the same pack that I used in the spring. Going to have to hurry up & figure something else out before it's too late, as I want broccoli in my fall garden. Your garden is looking might fine ma'am 😉

4:36 = Me & My thai soldier beans..... I don't do heat either, so 5:55 is why I grow aji dulces (theLatinas know what they are) and they look JUST LIKE YOUR "sweet bonnet" peppers (except mine are red)!! I wonder if they aren't basically the same pepper by different names. 7:58 is Me, with that EXACT pepper. I don't even like HOT peppers. I just thought it was stankin 'cute, but cuzzo, THAT WAS *NOT ENOUGH REASON* TO LET THAT THANG TAKE UP GARDEN REAL ESTATE!!! Never again... but I doNOT regret the experience!! lol @ 12:24 .... THE WAY HOMEOWNERS GO SILENT AT THE SOUND OF A MOWER'S HICCUP!!!! I was triggered TOO! 😅😂🤣 You *ARE* botanically anointed IRL.... I receive A WHOLE SPIRITUAL WORD & A'HALF in your garden videos, FRfr. Love&Light.
