❤ Oh Barbara! I am so happy for y'all. We sure do love our fur babies don't we? Hugs from Texas to the new family member! 🤗 Thanks for taking us along for the trip. We had a beautiful Cane Corso Italian mastiff that passed years ago and we love mastiffs too. Great with our family and our other animals.
Oh wow we have talked about a Cane Corso but I have always heard they need a lot of training and attention and can be stubborn. Was that your experience?
They don't need anymore than anyone else. We literally brought ours back from Italy (livestock mind you) and she traveled well. We had 3 babies with her and they all climbed all over her. We had the same experience as you... Our black lab, Lucky, was more confrontational than our Donatella. She just looked meaner. They are protecting their home for sure but how they act is how they are taught. My experience is always agreeable to have a Cane Corso. They have received a bad name since they became popular here in the US but in Italy they were the norm. We had her 10 years and the only reason she left us is because someone was babysitting her and she was hit by a big rig truck. Heartbreaking for sure. They do need attention and exercise but you have the space and you attend to your babies the way you should. We even had her in an apartment at one time so they are good in many environments. We just frequented a dog park often while we were transitioning to a new place. Sorry for the long winded explanation 😅.

Why would you get a pet from the pound as a temporary thing to keep someone else company? Animals from the pound are worthy of love too. 😮
Oh yes agreed! I just meant if we got one from the pound I would have still gotten a Mastiff or guardian dog later. I need at least one dog who will guard and protect.
