My Canadian Citizenship Ceremony & Getting a Passport ASAP
After moving to Canada in 2017, living there for five years, and spending an additional two and a half years of waiting, I finally became a citizen. It was a long and arduous process; and one I never even planned on going through, but my efforts were finally rewarded in the end.
In this video, I’ll be showing how my in-person citizenship ceremony went and what to expect. The ceremony itself is about an hour long and supposed to be fun, not intimidating! Then a look at how I received my passport the same week as the ceremony. And lastly, a look at my journey from temporary working in Canada to full on citizen.
Note that my path to citizenship is a bit different than usual, but may present an option for you if you wish to make Canada your new home.

Experience Argentina's FAKE Walmart (Hiper Changomas) & Bonus McDonald's Tasting
Переглядів 75Місяць тому
My mom likes to see grocery stores in other countries, so first and foremost, this is for her. But if you happen to be interested, I traveled to Argentina so you don’t have to. There’s also a bonus McDonald’s tasting at the end. It’s like stepping into a film that didn’t have the rights to explicitly name a brand or entering a parallel universe where Walmart never existed. Hiper Changomas is no...
12-Hour Layover in Panama City | See the Panama Canal & Old City in One Day
Переглядів 1,3 тис.6 місяців тому
I love long layovers and used them to get a taste of Lisbon, Iceland, and now Panama (and unsuccessfully Guangzhou, China). Copa Airlines offers a stopover program, so I decided to check it out. I flew from Medellín to Montevideo with an intentional 12-hour stopover in Panama City to get out and see the country, so you don't have to. Is this enough time to properly see Panama? No. But it can be...
Staying in a Pod Hotel in Japan
Переглядів 1467 місяців тому
Today we're going to see what it's like to stay in a pod (or capsule) hotel in Kyoto, Japan. It's always been my dream to stay in one in their country of origin, and finally I had my chance. But what is a pod hotel? Pod hotels, also known as capsule hotels, originated in Japan in the late 1970s to provide affordable and convenient accommodations for salarymen who missed the last train home. The...
Drinking the World's Freshest Coffee | Spending A Day in a Traditional Colombian Household

Join me as I spend a day on at a historic Colombian finca drinking coffee grown in the backyard and making arepas, traditional Colombian corn flatbreads. Just outside of Medellín, this home was once surrounded by acres of jungle and farmland, but today is an oasis among hyperurbanization. The home, in the state that you see it today, is over 100 years old, but the history of the property itself...

Today we get into the festive holiday spirit and search a traditional Parisian Christmas market for vin chaud (mulled wine) and an Alpine raclette sandwich. The raclette sandwich is a more portable version of raclette, which features scraped melted cheese usually over cold cuts, potatoes, vegetables, and pickles. This is a segment of a larger video about Paris Christmas markets that you can see...

Today we explore one of the oddities of French fast food which represents a cultural mashup of France, North Africa, and the Americas: the French tacos. (the singular version in French is spelled with an 's' as well). Paris Christmas Markets | Jardin des Tuileries vs. La Défense | 4K

Join my local friend JP and I as we pound vin chaud, hunt for elusive saucissons, eat a lot of raclette sandwiches, and tour two Christmas markets in La Défense and the "La Magie de Noël" at the center of Paris (Jardin des Tuileries) to see which is better. Both are some of the largest Christmas markets in Paris, and we made the comparison that absolutely nobody is asking for. French Christmas ...
Unboxing the new Honda Motocompacto
Переглядів 1,4 тис.9 місяців тому
Here's a first look, initial impressions, and light review of the highly-anticipated Motocompacto scooter. I've always been a massive Honda fan, and when the spiritual successor to the original 1980s Motocompacto dropped, I knew I had to have it. I placed an order for two the day that they were available for purchase online (one for myself, one as a gift) and got them a few weeks later. Whereas...

My friend was denied when she had 22hr tranit time. She was told minimum was 24hrs. After hearing all those stories, i decided to stay away from Guangzhou connection.

China's transit visa exemption is like building a convenient bridge for international exchanges, injecting a continuous stream of vitality into the interactive development of the economy.
The pro-China bots are out in full force here . . .
I guess that means I made it!
I transferrd in china several times when I went europe or south east asia from sydney. And i had no problem at all and enjoyed free transit hotels & a day trip. I dont know what happened to you but I would guess it may be because of checked throgh baggage to your destination?? Or any entry requirements like the finger print registration??
I have a question, can Canadians travel though the airport without a visa if there just staying inside the airport for a lay over?
I cover my chiko in salt only I love them
Fantastic job on your Costco content! Great video! Thank you for sharing detailed information & the taxi driver info
At the same time, this very friendly visa-free policy launched by China has also built a convenient bridge for trade between countries and promoted the economic prosperity and development of various regions in the world.

The food and scenery in China are indeed amazing, but the most important thing is that every Chinese person is very welcoming and will always help you.
The beauty of China is an undeniable fact, and any force's slander is a waste of energy and self-deprecation!

Good info! I did not know this...
Ps Pan frying doesn't give you the proper experience, an Aussie would never do that hence why you'd be a tad disappointed
Air fryer at 180° for 20 min best ever... here in Australia to buy it you'd go to a take away fast food either fish n chip shop...
I find it surprising that you said the terminal is small, were you confined to a specific area because Guangzhou Airport has two mega terminals, they're massive.
you need to pass immigration to exit the terminal and for that a valid visa is required.
Awesome .. thank you!
The 144 hour visa free transit policy in China has increased to 37 ports, allowing for better travel and enjoyment of local cuisine
Yes please, slow down so we can read the labels/prices, merci.
I ate them in April, and I really liked them.
I would like to see more videos, you have not uploaded videos again 😢
The whole thing is a scam. China Southern airline is owned by the government, and they work with immigration officials to ensure visas are denied for 24 hours stay passengers because China Southern has to provide hotel. I had 22 hours stay and met all their requirements. I have US passport. Still got denied and forced to spend night in the terminal. I asked immigration officer the reason and he repeatedly said, "No Reason". What a bunch of horse shit. Just say, we won't give you hotel and people will get their own hotel. Don't subject them to airport prison. Its inhumane. But that's what China is, inhumane. They don't care. Airport doesn't have hotel. If they are honest, people can make the right decisions about their travel.
The whole review is a lie. China explicitly forbids collusion between government and business, including China Southern Airlines. The only reason a visa to China will be rejected is if you do not provide complete supporting documents or if you have a criminal record in China. According to the requirements of the job, visa officers do not give an unwarranted response to a refusal, as a visa officer friend of mine told me.
I thought that with a 6 hour or longer layover you were able to get a free transit hotel?
Wow I had thought of doing Beijing during a layover, will never try it, no Air China for me
He’s basically complaining about his lack of due diligence. So American.
Your only mistake can be summed up in three words: "transit through China". 😂 The song you used is by a Taiwanese singer?
Amazing video and super detailed and useful! Thank you 😊
I was denied entry earlier today on my transit from Melbourne to Rome. I had 20 hours transit and I was given no reason, just you're denied entry. In frknt of me was a Russian family with 12 hours layover, they were denied entry also, the officer told them 12 hours is not enough to see anything. PS, in Chengdu airport
Its probably because transit visa-free exemption only applies to those who are travelling to a third world country.
So were u deported or stayed the entire time at the airport
@@Shek._.00815 stayed in the airport
I heard we can get visa on arrival on Australian passport and airline provides accomodation so they still denied the entry?
@@AliHameeds that's the issue, it's a visa on arrival not a no-visa... That means it depends on the officer judgements/mood. In short, it's not guaranteed so do not make plans as if it is.
I'm gonna have a 26hrs layover so I'm just praying that there won't be any problem and I won't be jailed in that small terminal for more than a day
Hoe doe it turn out for you?
wa wa wa😭so dumb I don’t meet their requirements
Thank you for the beautiful video 🙂
Great video, I did not knew this :)
Hi! Thank you for mentioning everything in video about your transit details and itinerary. I do have a layover at panama but I don't have transit visa. Is transit visa required to have a tour around the city?
The pizza is sad,😢super thick soggy pizza crust, chicken bake is slimy and bland; gross. They always squeeze the buns when wrapping the hotdogs and their mustard doesn’t pair well with hotdogs. The people who work at the food court are pretty nice but the system is efficient, hence chaotic. My least favorites are the cashiers who are often rude and always talk to each other instead of providing friendly customer service. that’s France 🇫🇷🤣get used to it or get out . C’est la vie!😂 FYI: Brooklyn NY Costco has the best pizza. Costco in Asia has delicious bulbogi bake and pretty much everything is great 👍
Wow. What a great video ..thanks for lay over at 🇵🇦🌎
