Yes it was a good movie the first time but there are some movies that are best to be made once and let it be… There’s just some movies people feel the original one was so good they don’t want a remake I know I didn’t want to remake of the color purple but I think overhead sinister genders for doing it at this time of all times to do it

Thank you! This is why it flopped. We didn’t want to to see this. I’m sure the casts performance is amazing but I’ve watched this 2-3 times in my life. It’s just so filled with trauma/ we are post black panther and black excellence. Wrong generation and the wrong time.

I've never seen the original The Color Purple. It never ever interested me.

Black actors should pool together and start their own ish. This just keeps happening no matter what industry we work in. We should never work with our own people that are a detriment to us. We don’t need them. Since they are paying peanuts anyway, start our own companies and have more stake in these movies and we’ll support it

But why on THIS movie, why not on the other movies, why on a black movie but not a white movie. This wasn’t the FIRST movie that she’s been low balled on, why didn’t she speak out then. She has impacted the other actresses in addition to this movie.
