Siamo orgogliosi di aver presentato il nostro progetto, nato dalla collaborazione tra Territori Svelati e il museo Tecnologicamente, in occasione delle celebrazioni per il centenario della nascita di Mario Tchou, che si sono tenute il 29 giugno a Ivrea nella sede del Museo stesso.
Di fronte a una folta platea e dopo gli interventi delle autorità e degli esperti storici, abbiamo potuto presentare due video che hanno riportato in vita in forma digitale l’importante personaggio. Il primo, realizzato dal digital creator di fama internazionale Elvis Morelli, ha fatto rivivere gli ultimi attimi della vita di Mario: dal saluto alla moglie e alle sue due figlie fino al dialogo tenuto con il suo autista Francesco prima dell’incidente sul cavalcavia di Santhià. Il secondo video ha rappresentato una simulazione di come, tramite l'AI, si possa interagire con il personaggio storico attraverso una serie di domande, salvaguardando l’etica delle risposte e la loro veridicità storica. Il lungo applauso ci ha gratificato del grande lavoro che abbiamo svolto.

Who is this person? I don't know so I make some search. A computer scientist. The Chinese-Italian engineer Mario Tchou was, by all accounts, brilliant. Born and raised in Italy and educated in the United States, he led the Olivetti company’s ambitious effort to build a completely transistorized mainframe computer in the late 1950s. During Mario’s tenure, Olivetti successfully launched the ELEA 9003 mainframe and founded one of the first transistor companies. And yet, even in Italy, his story is not well known.Mario Tchou died together with his driver Francesco Frinzi (1933-1961) in a tragic car accident on the morning of 9 November 1961, at just 37 years old, on the Milan-Turin motorway overpass, just before the Santhià toll booth; the driver lost control of the car after overtaking and crashed into a van.That morning Tchou was traveling to Ivrea to discuss the design of a new transistor architecture. in 1964. Tchou's wife said "His death and that of Adriano led, in a short time, to the divestment of the Electronics Division of Olivetti, the flagship of our country, which it was quickly sold to General Electric. That was a conspiracy, entirely industrial and financial, aimed at weakening Olivetti and Italy and doing the Americans a favour."

OK so I'm seeing Zbrush, Faceform, Photoshop, Substance, Blender, and Unreal, can I assume we are using textures from Texturing XYZ or 3D Scan Store? Also I am assuming the facial mocap is through the Iphone livelink? Again fantastic work man appreciate you sharing the process.
Exactly, about texturing I use both, Texturing XYZ and 3D scan store are cool, personally I prefer Texturing XYZ then I'll paint over on Substance, dermal and subdermal, micro details, etc. Mocap is done with MHA and an iPhone.

If you didn't say it was depicting Jim Carrey I wouldn't have even guessed it was him. Not a great deepfake. Kind of looks like him a little but only if you're trying to see it.
0:26 When blinking, there are slight imperfections on the eyelids. When passing the texture on the open-eyed model, this issue usually occurs. Using a closed-eye model to wrap the transfer would result in a much more perfect outcome

This metahuman model looks phenomenal. The only detail that might break the realism for me would be the light refraction in the eyes.
