  • Here my Metahuman customization process on Unreal Engine 2024 in this timelapse! I compare the traditional method with the new approach using the conformed mesh, made possible by the 'Mesh to Metahuman 3.00' plugin.
    The new method using the conformed mesh allows for a more faithful likeness from the input sculpture. This is because the conformed mesh is created in quad polygons instead of triangles. Thanks to the powerful Mesh Morpher plugin, we can create custom blendshapes and further refine our mesh for an improved likeness.

    An improvement of my prevoius josh duhamel model so the timelapse si basically the same as previous.

    Awsome!!, could you
    mention which were the other steps about the texturing in this improvement?. Cause in your prev tutorial seem like you just put albedo texture and nothing else or Am I wrong?

      It depends on the project, I have many albedos made over the years for MH that I use as a starting point or some acquired on the stores etc. The most customizable part I've never recorded because it's always different, it depends on the goal to achieve, often it's Photoshop, other times Substance Painter, other times painted on ZBrush, etc

    hi, thanks for sharing. Why you sculpt 3dscan store Base mesh instead of MH base mesh? So after wraping we can get texture from 3ds scan store but for MH

      This is an extract of my previous video where I start from a base mesh and do Mesh To MH with classic method, and M2MH with conformed mesh, so I start from 3C Scan store base mesh for that reason.
