So let me get this straight. Man goes to serve his country, gets captured and presumed dead, has to kill one of his friends, gets home to find out his wife, children(especially Isabelle) would have preffered that he died and would rather have his brother take his place, and he's the bad guy for having PTSD for the things he's seen and done.
The no more Catholics song was brilliantly funny. Really good sequel in general IMO
Wonderful movie.

Interesting, it's stared by the Emperor he'd known 4 years of peace out of 20. The USA, since 1776 until today, has had less than 20 years of peace. What price the military-industrial complex. Most of America's wars have been of their own making (including both World Wars, neither of which it needed to get involved in, eg: the Lusitania was carrying war supplies to Britain from America and America cut off Japan from the vast majority of oil imports well before the Pearl Harbour attack). There's a pattern of lying by false flags with the Yanks entering wars, eg: September 11th, Gulf of Tonkin Incident, the USS Maine-et-Loire, the objection to Britain's Orders in Council to justify the Yanks conquering Canada - or trying to in 1812, the objection to British taxes without representation- tge monet generated from those taxes was ploughed back into the defence of the Americsn colonies - it didn't even cover that.
Interesting fact. One reason the Romans were so successful was that their swords were shorter
If you want to see some more Russell Crowe check out Romper Stomper. An aussie classic byr extremely intense. He plays a hardcore nazi skinhead
i cried so many times when watching this
This movie made me so uncomfortable. Aileen was one of those people who really didn’t have a chance in life.
Great story about a father son relationship, although, based in hell
1 Corinthians 3:14 “If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.” King James Version (KJV)
Proverbs 10:2 “Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.” King James Version (KJV)
You both are beautiful! Keep up the great work my Friends.
Really phenomenal movie, but its interesting to see how much people really sympathize with her over so many other serial killers...
I wanted to like this movie more, but there are too many silly things in it. Like, why does the arresting officer not have his gun drawn for a freaking serial killer? Some cops in the US will draw on you for absolutely nothing. I don't know where this guy got all of his restraint, but he could do with a little less of it. Also how she backs up to a window after her partner gets shot. Yeah, glass? Not the best cover. It's like their training made them dumber. It has some really good scenes, but too much stuff like that always takes me out of the movie. I also get Maika's stoicism, but they went full android with that one. She could have had just a pinch of personality I think, given that we spend the whole movie with her.
In the original script, Proximo had a big fight scene with the Praetorians when they raided the gladiator barracks and survived until the end of the film. Sadly this had to be cut because of Oliver Reed's sudden death before filming was complete. The producers had a $25 million insurance clause that would have allowed them to re-shoot all of Reed's scenes with another actor but the cast and crew were already exhausted from the hectic filming schedule through the very hot Summer of 1999 in Malta so it was decided to superimpose Reed's face onto another actor for Proximo's final scenes at the gladiator barracks.
In the book there is a part when the man and boy come across and spot two men walking with a pregnant woman. Andy out two later they find an abandoned campsite from them and the deceased newborn baby is on a spit over the fire
The Japs Cut the Women Tits Off so she would suffer and not be able to feed her Baby !
I read the book in one sitting. I literally could not put it down. This is a very powerful movie and I'm pausing extremely early in your reaction because of the confusion you expressed when the father notes there are 2 bullets left. I'm sure you eventually realized why one might want to self delete should things in the real world start to echo the story in the book. It would be a better fate than being captured by cannibalistic marauders.
Fun fact Charlize Theron the woman who played Aileen Wuornos in the movie monster. She is from South Africa originally. And she got discovered in a Bank. She was trying to cash a check or some kind of business in a bank. And the bank teller was giving her a hard time. So she was yelling and raising her voice. And she got noticed by someone in the bank. And that is how she got discovered for her career to begin.
At 12:54, I'm the background extra wearing brown pants and a dark red shirt with the grey panels on the side. This section was filmed in "Hollywood South," particularly Hammond, Louisiana... they made two whole streets in my downtown look like NY back in the day... it was amazing! Got to shake hands with Vigo, who was a very gracious guy to all of us. One of the most fun 12 hours I ever spent on a set!
34:25 "They don't stand a chance." That was the idea. This is a reenactment of a real battle. The chariots are the conquering Roman army and Maxums and his friends are the Carthaginians who got massacred in the real battle. It was supposed to be impossible for the "Carthaginians" to win here in the Colosseum since they did not win in the historical battle.
4:00 "I can't tell if these are Vikings or Celts or something else." Probably something else. A band of lose Germanic tribes, gathered together under one war-chief to repel the Romans from Germania. Vikings would not exist for another 600 years or so. Celts existed in Germania as early as around 1,000 BCE (1200 years before this battle) but from around 700 BCE through 100 BCE other tribes from Scandinavia started replacing them and chasing them southwest into France, so there weren't likely to be many Celts in Germania in 180 CE (the year of this battle, 3 centuries after the last Celts left the aiea), but likely many of these men descended from Celtic ancestors.
@12:00 many people miss this detail, but priests are forbidden from telling cops what they hear in confessions as it is considered a special circumstance. If the priest could simply do that, it would just have caused the murderer to not confess anyway.
I admit i cried when Dr Shirley showed up at Tony's house.
Two people that couldn't be more different listening to and most importantly learning from each other and realizing they're, in fact, not all that different. One of my favorite "newerish" movies.
The 420 room at 6:20
Clearly Isabelle has never been spanked before 🤦🏿♂️
One of the most underrated movies 😢
I love how the dude said “you shouldn’t have punched the foreman for waking you up while you slept on the job” and she was questioning whether or not it was wrong as if it wasn’t just automatically the wrong thing to do
Nice dog
Don't feel sorry for the old guy, they caught, at first. As he was leaving he was saying, y'all will die tonight. The guy at the picnic table, black beanie cap, black sunglasses, tells the kid to clean up...is Marcus!😮. The kid was the kid in Dark Knight 😮😮This may be the most violent yet most heartfelt beautiful movie, u ever watch! Here's what i would have done. Tied them together, back to back. Stuff their mouths with rags, then tape shut. Then tie arms to arms, legs to legs, then let them go. Other single guy left stories... type in here, Sgt York, Audie Murphy, Carlos Hathcock, Desmond Doss, (hacksaw Ridge) and maybe the greatest ever, Roy Benevidez the lazarus soldier! I met him once early nineties when I was stationed at Bragg! Finally type in here, medal of honor winner caught completely on video! Marcus is now in Congress 😮😮😮. I like they showed rangers backing this mission up. Rangers typically back up all the top tier missions by SF, seals, delta, etc. and I was in 1st Ranger batt myself, for a few seconds!
Vikings wouldn't exist for a few hundred more years.
The first one was my life. Im 30 now. Used from 17-25. Im clean now but tbh i miss it sometimes. I wasnt big on the needle. Sure did it a few times but i liked sniffing more. Ive been reminiscing lately and i wont relaspse but damnit i want to just have a good time. Now that im sober im boring and life is boring. Idk.
Iraq here, once you cross that line there is no way of coming back, you stay single so you don't hurt the loved ones it fucking sucks but you buck up and get through it
I was in the same boat for a while. Hope you found peace brother
This is one of the saddest films with a positive message I've ever seen
Great reaction! You're very intuitive and it's fun to watch you suss things out faster than most.😋👍👍
This movie shows a horrible, horrible, disgusting poor excuse for a mother and the bad parenting she did, it concerns me how much empathy is given towards that
It’s interesting how despite knowing that he was alive you still were smiling and happy with the scenes of her cheating on her husband with his brother, and said it “sounds wrong” but not actually say it is wrong.
Words can't explain how i adore this film so much, I'm so glad people are reacting to it more recently!
I honestly think the bad reviews are because of the ending. I HATE the ending, but I love the rest of the movie.
Great reactions. Less talk better reactions.. Great movie. Gotta react to "300".
The Beast is exactly what I need to become.
Little Lucius watching his Mom; he knows something's up 53:37
t is truly disheartening to witness someone so disconnected from a masterpiece that resonates deeply with so many. Your insensitivity is not just disappointing; it reflects a troubling inability to appreciate the depth and artistry of such an iconic film. I find it embarrassing to know that there are individuals who can watch Gladiator without feeling anything at all. This is a film that demands emotional engagement, and your complete lack of response is a stark reminder of how some people can be so inept when it comes to recognizing true art. I hope you take this critique to heart and reconsider your approach to films that have touched the lives of countless others
Sorry, you feel that way. I find it more embarrassing that your whole judgement comes from me not being O.T.T. while watching a beautiful film. You speak so passionately about a movie yet can be so insensitive and rude because my reaction didn't fit into your mold. It's disheartening and a stark reminder that not everyone is accepting of the different nuances of emotions and how they're expressed. And no, I will not reconsider my approach, as I am unapologetically me, and my reactions will stay true to who I am. 😁😉
tbh your comment is embarrassing. you sound like a douche bag lol.
This is probably a more genuine reaction than a lot of "reactors" where I feel like most of them emotionally amp it up for the camera vs. if they were just watching a movie alone and not filming themselves for social media. In either case, people are different, not everybody is going to react the same to everything - that's life, it's not anybody's obligation to respond to everything in a certain way.
She wasn't being insensitive. She was commenting on a piece of ENTERTAINMENT!! Fortunately, not all of us need therapy sessions to get through the day.
Chicken bones are indeed bio degradable
I dont condone it but I guess proxinmo got addicted to the gladiator lifestyle because he probaby started young so he brought slaves to make gladiators
A bit of military tactics: did you notice which way the men on horses (cavalry) were heading? Guess where they wound up and which way they charged. The attacked body of men were Germanic (perhaps Teutons), but not Celts nor Vikings.
wtf are u pretending to talk about? do you think this movie is a historically accurate description of ancient roman battles?
@@spoonzor1 As King Arthur in "Monty Python & The Holy Grail" says: "Go away you silly person!"
@@artbagley1406 I just didnt get your point man? They attacked the germanic tribes? As they where supposed to? And also this movie doesnt depict anything close to how battles at those times where fought. Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
