Front Differential Regear | it DID NOT go as planned
Переглядів 5082 роки тому
Welcome back to the SECOND video on the 3 part series of the 4.56 regear and upgraded drivetrain of the Honduzu! In this episode (long story short) swap in a 4.56 3rd member from a Trooper that JD and our buddy Nick picked up for me at a local pick-a-part. But that wasn't the full story, it did NOT all go to plan. Also, please note I have also done some upgrades to the front axle area as well. ...

PARTS LIST HERE Next video: Front Differential Regear to 4.56 *IMPORTANT INFO!* Welcome back! This is the first of 3 videos I have planned for the driveline swap and upgrade for the Honduzu. There isn't much information on these Isuzu Rodeo's / Honda Passports so me and JD spent a lot of time researching and doing trial and error checks to see what works and doesn't. Remarkably, there are parts...

This area was recently reopened due to snow. Also, please don't litter. And if you don't litter, please help pick up wha...

Installing Rear Door Speakers Using the FACTORY Wiring!
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
Difficulty: MODERATE Welcome back! (For the record this can be done, or similarly done, with many other vehicles) I am so excited to share this video with you all. As you may know I like to keep my wiring installs as clean as possible and to use factory components if possible, such as my Fog Light Wiring video also using the existing factory wiring. Many cars were built like this which made it ...
Honduzu Update and Future Plan

:CORRECTION: I refer to the JK pinion as a 26 spline, it is a 24 spline NOT a 26. Isuzu pinion - 29 Spline JK pinion/flange - 24 Spline In this episode I brush over the next couple steps into the Honduzu's developmental stage. Currently in the works, is re-gearing the differentials and transfer case. The transfer case is a swap from a Trooper with a mechanical T Case unlike my auto/electrical T...
Hungry Valley SVRA Gorman 4x4 | Sluice Box Course
Переглядів 1,6 тис.3 роки тому
In this episode I am indecisive in tackling the Sluice Box Course in Hungry Valley SVRA Gorman at the 4x4 practice area. And, well, I threw the little Honduzu in there! After a long self debate, a fellow offroad enthusiast offered to spot me though it! I took him up on that offer and I did not regret it one bit! HUGE thank you to him for spotting and his wife for getting the awesome footage of ...

2WD Toyota RAV4 Offroad
Переглядів 20 тис.3 роки тому
In this episode we dared to take a 2WD/FWD RAV4 on a 4x4 trail! The trail starts with a small wash, then a flexy section, then the hardest part, a long downhill section that can be loose and rutted. For this little RAV that could, this might be a 1-way RAV trap... -ABOUT Cherry Creek 4x4 Trail: The trail is a short in-and-out trail that's only a few miles long. It dead ends and nice campsite wi...

How much did you pay for the brush guard ?
Oh wow…I bought that long ago. I got it on FBM for like $200 maybe?
Im only seeing the broken regulator pulled out and a fast forward of reinstalling. Really needed a step by step of that.
Hi, Prius owner here. Yeah, I agree, it's a weird looking egg. It has low acceleration. It is, to motorheads and most people, a very unexciting car, and understandably so. However, I'm a mechanical engineer. And this thing is a MARVEL of engineering. The eCVT drivetrain is really fascinating and ingenious, not super complicated, just very clever design, not to mention the impressive control system. And on top of that they need next to no maintenance. I think Toyota took all of their most autistic engineers and told them to make the most practical, utilitarian, reliable, cheapest to own car possible. And my God they blew that objective out of the park. But of course that means it looks like a squished boiled egg and has a 0-60 of like 10 seconds. I don't care if you hate my car. I really don't, and I don't even necessarily blame you. All I wish for is to be able to bring up the fact that I own a Prius in conversation without knowing that there's a good chance that the person I'm talking to will either think or outright say that I'm not a real man, that it's a gay car, that it's embarrassing that I own one, I'm a tree hugging hippie, etc. You all did a great job keeping it about the cars and not about the drivers. I appreciate that, most people don't. I'll keep enjoying paying $25 to fill up on gas and watching the kilowatts flow back in when I brake, and you all enjoy what you do. My dream is to build a bootleg manual transmission hybrid vehicle with supercapacitors as well as standard batteries (hybrid battery packs can only source so much power, supercapacitors can dump their charge almost instantly but have less total energy) to get stupid amounts of torque and power for a few seconds at a time, and make it actually look decent, so it would be a blast to drive and could also get you out of a bad situation fast. Some automatic electric inputs such as to smooth out gear shifts and of course regen braking, but also have an option to charge up a "boost." Hybrid vehicles could be really fun, but they mostly target a different market so there hasn't been much effort to make it so.
Nonsense
You don't show how to get bumper off?
You don’t need to take the bumper off. Plus, I don’t have a bumper to remove 😅
H&R brand is quality and I can’t believe how 10mm makes a huge difference
So im currently doing the same thing ro my 95' rodeo, /w d44. I already have the r&p for the d44 and im trying to get my hands on a trooper 3rd member. Was the pinion flange bold a different width compaire ld to the trooper or was it just a different flange style.
Awesome! It was the same bolt pattern, the flange was just a different shape.
Great isuzu rodeo man! Some of the best rigs ever made. Do you still have this vehicle?
Thank you! And yes I do! Currently out on a hiatus. I plan to do video again. Just not exactly sure when.
Awesome video. Great explanations front to back. You are awesome. Thanks for the video. Gonna try it out today.
Thank you! I appreciate it. I hope it works out for you 👍
I replaced the valve but unsure if i put the tubes (in and out) back on correctly. Engine starts but worried ill blow it up if i engage turbo. Reading that another bloke's engine doesn't start gives me hope I did it right...
Anyone have any ideas where to get the yellow clips from.??? THANK YOU 😊
Amazon and general auto parts stores should have them 👍
agreed!
Probably would have helped a ton if the engine was running also. I could tell everything was slow and weak.
No need to remove the assembly. Pull the battery. Gives you more than enough room on the passenger side. Pull the air cleaner box gives you more than enough on the drive side.
Thanks for sharing. So few videos featuring the rear doors. Very helpful.
I thank you for this video. I’m in the process of changing all for of mine. The suction cups I’ll have to purchase before I start, currently I’m using screw drivers on three out of four windows.😂😂 the driver side is the only one working most times I have to pull it in place. Thanks again.
Thank you for making this video! I’m going to give it ago tomorrow on the same rear window, the suction cups are a great idea! Thanks again
Missing the videos 😢
How do you know if its the regulator or if the window maybe just fell off the track before you take the door panel off?
Typically the regulator is what breaks. These don’t really “fall off track” unless the clips holding the window to the regulator weren’t fully seated. That being said, you don’t. You will have to remove the panel to see. Good question!
Awesome! Exactly the comparison I was looking for!!
just needs some k02's on that rav4 should be very capable for a 2wd
My '97 Grand Cherokee just now having this issue.. Good looking out! Making it look easy, yet was as detailed and particular as any job I've YT watched and attempted. lol.
Dude, Thanks so much...Your video helped me so much!
Glad it helped!
Man! I’m eric! I overland a 1999 Honda Pasport!!😊
Oh hey!!! That’s awesome! 😄
So apparently just disconnecting the yellow/green wire works? Have you tried?
I’ve heard that too, I have not tried that
Back door regulator went out today as soon as I got home. I don't live in the best area so finding a way to get the window back up and secure for the night was essential. I appreciate you making and posting this video for everyone it was extremely helpful!
How do you tell if it's the regulator or if the window fell off the track?
juat bought a 1999 pasport 4wd v6 wish me lucky runs and drives but needs some engine and tranny work
I wanted to thank you for your video loved it, when I started 4 wheeling I never had limited slip or lockers and I still don't just takes practice
What year Trooper are you driving? I had a 87 and a 91 wish I still had them, I recently purchased a 2001 we'll see how it does in the mountains
This video helped me. Very simple job. Straight forward. Thank you
Thanks. I can do this!
I believe in you 😁
Crank hp vs wheel hp
Yes
Awesome job, really like the suction cups, no residue to clean up. Thanks
Thank you!
the same exact thing happened to me on the other side, the pulley popped off the motor.
Wow, I thought it was just my Rodeo with spray nozzle issues but I guess not. I ordered from Ebay nozzles that were supposed to fit but the block was the wrong size to fit through the hole in the hood. Thanks for posting.
👍
Great video, I have a 2002 LS with everything except fog lights. Actually already found a dash switch at the junk yard and have installed it, and got fog lights online but haven't tried to install yet. I didn't even thing about the fuse and relay!
Ya hadda get the 4wd
Thanks for the video! Changed all the parts with no hassle thanks to your video
Great video. I have to do the passenger front side of my Jeep
You can drive 2wd off-road, all day no problem! You just need to watch out for mud or snow. Those can get you stuck even with a proper 4x4.
Honda Passport (Honduzu, hah) looks good too. ;) No hate on the Honda brand... they knew what was good. 😁
Underrated and undervalued SUV.. Rodeos and Passports.. find one with a tranny rebuilt..and hopefully no rust ..and go to the mountains. 250k miles easy.
What size are the hatch speakers?
Dang…4” maybe??? I forget
Your car gives me tears bro. It even has the same color combo. My family had a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo thats been in the family for 17 years until my aunt got into accident. I have so memories of that car going back to my childhood, also with me learning how to drive. I hope she serves you well man! Hopefully I can find a clean one for sale in the future.
@GridLineGo hey what's up bro did you try the fwd in soft sand. I actually lifted my 97 fwd rav with a old emu kit and all terrain tires. And been debating to take it in soft sand before converting it to awd. Curious if you gave it a try, I added recovery point to my hitch with a factor 55 incase I do get stuck. But was curious if you had tried at all in the sand with your fwd rav.
Fantastic video. I have to do this on my sons jeep and this helps sooo much. Thanks Bud. Liked and subbed
Awesome! Thank you! I appreciate the sub! 👍
Hi bro..!!! I have 4 channel stereo stock head unit, i have 4 speakers connected. Can i add two more speakers in the boot of my mpv without amplifier? If yes! How? Pls help
The other side?
Should be the same process
Thanks bro this helped me a lot. I replaced my oem bulbs with led so I can see when I’m driving at night.
