Hey man, I just got a 1999 passport, I found your channel shortly after. I saw it and had to have it, your videos have helped a lot just figuring things out with it. Sadly it has some dings in the front end, still such a sexy vehicle, I just wanted to ask ask about the off-road capabilities that you have had, I’m so paranoid that I’ll break something as soon as I get off the dirt, I’ve checked it all over and got it tuned up already, but so many people just keep telling me the 4x4 will break easily unlike their Jeep’s and shit. Idk I get a lot of like, hate I guess would be a good word. Anyways again I appreciate the videos and love for the passport!
That's awesome! Congrats! Sorry for the late reply. The dents and dings just add character, we all want a pretty car but it's inevitable. To answer your question simply, don't listen to them - Every car breaks and wears out. It's normal! This rigs capability has blown my mind and other people minds (including Jeep people!) Don't let the fear of breaking something on the trail stop you from getting out there. Jeeps break things on the trail too, I've seen it! Start off on the simple fire road type and grow from there. Part of the experience with offroading is learning your rig, finding what works and doesn't, and finding the weak spots and making them better or stronger. I luckily haven't had an issue, yet. But, I anticipate it. That being said, I know the weak links (ie. tie rods and front axles) and I carry spares, the tools, and knowledge to replace them. I recommend you to do the same. Being self sufficient on the trail eases your mind and boosts your confidence when your out there. And, well, don't go alone. Having quick help is a great tool to have in the rig next you. Best of luck and enjoy your 4x4! Please consider subscribing if you haven't already. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips!! You are doing a great job and I hope you grow your channel. Keep it up !! - if you have a chance can you take I look at my channel . Thanks
