I just replaced the purge valve but the engine light is still there. Now, its showing me P0446 code should i replace my gas cap or the much more expensive carbon canister? thanks
Hey man I just connected my new purge valve watching your video but there's a clicking noise coming from it any idea what I could have done wrong I'm going to take it apart now to see just wanted a second opinion
Help please. Can you tell me where to buy this part. I cant find one for my 2001 passport. I've checked ebay, cargeek, honda, autozone, rockauto etc. Cant find the vac purge valve anywhere. Help please
I find them online in a bunch of major stores now some will have the Isuzu Rodeo in the vehicles the parts fit that is because the 01 passport is 98% Isuzu with the rimes, emblems, and airbags being honda only. You need to use the Isuzu Rodeo when searching for parts not the Passport Plus good luck on finding random parts like the Gate Door Lock Cylinder lol I am still trying to find one. Most of the parts for the 01 passport are no longer made.
@@GridLineGo if thats the case mine must be dead however nothing seems to be wrong.no lights no codes.ive owned 3 rodeos never heard a purge valve click lol
I replaced the valve but unsure if i put the tubes (in and out) back on correctly. Engine starts but worried ill blow it up if i engage turbo. Reading that another bloke's engine doesn't start gives me hope I did it right...
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Great Video I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo LS V6 it should be as easy as this replacing it? Thanks
Should be as easy; if not, very similar 👍

@@GridLineGo what does a normal purge valve sound like?? Because mine is clicking just not loud and when i remove both vacuum hoses air is sucking in
Power reduced light videos perchance? Or where the sensors are located what I looks like if it's an easy fix?

Nope, a clicking noise indicates that its operating. These ones definitely seem to be extra loud though.
@@GridLineGo ohhh okay makes sense I appreciate it this one seems to be pretty loud aswell
thank you!
You're welcome!
I replaced my purge valve solenoid and the engine stalls when I start it, do you know what it could be?
Was it stalling before you replaced the valve?
Help please.

Interesting...I've never head an issue finding one. They should all be sold on those sites

Can you tell me where I can find canister vent valve for 2002 Isuszu Trooper as no one seems to carry it in US? Thank you
Rock auto
With the vac tester hooked into the intake port on the purge valve with 12v to it it will not hold pressure
That clicking noise is actually your injectors firing
Injectors also tick, yes, the louder noise heard in the video is from the purge valve

Guess you learn something new everyday.all i hear is my injectors when i have the hood open
This one seems to be extra loud. Most purge valves aren't this loud, it must be a characteristic of this one
