How might this look different than your experiments...

    Where do I purchase the medical paper?

    • @marabethquinart

      If you’re in the U.S., you can just search for medical exam paper on Amazon and you’ll find a number of sellers. If you reside elsewhere, it may be more challenging because other places use different kinds of paper for that purpose.

    Same sometimes I’ll just draw random lines and then see what they look like to me and draw that. Like make shapes/ things in your mind from looking at clouds. It esp helps if I don’t have a specific theme I want to draw/ paint

      It’s such a good way to let your mind be surprised, isn’t it? It really works for me as I can get too attached to an idea and thwart the painting’s evolution.

    Excellent video. 2 things: There are several versions of how to create mixes using a mother colour. I’m not sure which is the correct/ best one. 1. Choosing one colour straight from the tube and adding that into all the colours chosen for the painting. Example- Green and u use the green in all the mixes. 2. Your method which seems to desaturate colours well. The one tutor also told us to look at the picture/ set up to identify the most used colour. Say it’s orange yellow. Use that orange yellow with your blue to create greys and with reds to create oranges. I really like your version

    • @marabethquinart
      @marabethquinart 5 днів тому

      Yes, those are both really useful and will basically harmonize the palette-I do like the idea of deciding what your most common color will be and just using that to mix into every other color you use. I’ll have to try that!
