Peek into The Layered Botanical Class

In my newest class, Mixed Media Collage and the Layered Botanical, I not only teach you how to make my tinted semi-transparent collage papers, but also how to make botanical figures on them using acrylics, inks and watercolors. We use tissue, rice, teabag (2 kinds) and mulberry papers to get different effects and then layer them over one another to get an interplay of colors and shapes that pull you in, spark your imagination, and calm your senses.
I also teach you how to take these paintings from this intricate and interesting stage into their full potential by using mixed media, color analyzing, and glazes. Learning to return over and over to a painting to see how to take it further is truly deep practice that moves your creativity into new areas that abound with possibilities.
