Jagadguru Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati, the head priest of Shri Govardhan Math Puri, says that Lord Buddha and Gautam Buddha were two different persons born in different times. Gautam Buddha, who was declared as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born in a Brahmin family in Keekat Pradesh (Magadha). Gautam Buddha, born hundreds of years later in Kapilavastu, was a Kshatriya prince. When Shankaracharya, who had come to Khaira in Aurangabad in connection with the yagya, was asked whether the Brahmins had declared Buddha as an incarnation of God and started worshipping him, he said that the Buddha discussed in rituals is different. He has also been discussed in the Vedas. He is an incarnation of God. He has been discussed in Shrimad Bhagwat. He was born in a Brahmin family.Shankaracharya said that in ancient times when Amar Singh composed Amar Kosh, he used the words very meticulously. According to Prof. Jitendra Dubey, who looks after the work of Bihar-Jharkhand of Govardhan Peeth, 10 synonymous names of Lord Buddha and five synonymous names of Gautam Buddha were written in one order. This is the reason why this situation arose.Shankaracharya said that both of them had the same gotra as Gautam. This was also a reason that no one paid attention to this. Lord Buddha has been mentioned in Agnipuran as Lamba Karna. Gautam Buddha's long ears started being made in statues. Buddhists do not consider themselves Vedic. Dalai Lama says that we are not Hindus. There is a difference between the followers of both. However, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs believe in birth, rebirth, cremation, Vedas, seed Om or Pranava, cow and Ganga. It is amazing to believe in Banyan tree and not believe in its seed. He said that under Article 25 of the Constitution, Jains, Buddhists and Sikhs are all defined as Hindus. Buddhists do not consider themselves Hindus. Now even Jains and Sikhs have started calling themselves Hindus.

I am from Ramanandi sampraday and i have something to say ! There is no difference in our philosophy which is vishist advait we just considered ram to be pramatma shuddh brahm or mahavishnu himself ! But all these things dont matter gaud sampraday consider krishna to be shuddh brahm but we all are one ! I love and respect ramanuj acharya and ramanand aacharya i have knowledge about all sampraday and when i saw your english podcast i felt so much happiness because u explained everything in a right way ! We use hindi and sanskrit u use sanskrit and tamil ! All are languages of god ! Ram is vishnu avtar which is true for all of us still we see ram as shuddh brahm as it is our sampraday we dont hate anyone ! Vishu laxmi = Ram sita no debate !

3 sampradayas have been explained clearly. But the basic question remains for every listener: Between these sampradyas, which one is to choose? When all the three believes in one brahmam, which one to choose?

Very nice explanation. But with due respect to this learned Guru, may I, as a practitioner of Vipassana, make this small correction with regard to The Buddha and Buddhism. The Buddha never taught a religion. In the 52,000 pages of the Buddha Suttas or the Tipitakas, there never is, anything about a religion. The Buddha only taught Vipassana, also known as Dhamma Vipassana, which simply put, is a meditation practice to reach enlightenment and Nibbana (nirvana). The Buddha believed in the creator but instead of wasting time on debating or understanding God, he focused on purification of the mind through Vipassana to attain Nibbana.

Not just prakriti. kindly explain why krisna included sankya, yoga , and vedanta together in Bhagavat gita. 44:16 Another doubt, do bramasutra was written after buddism and jainism? Where do jiva came from? How do paranatma different from jiva? The video is quite helpful ty.

I heard in another discourse, the jeevatma is said to reside in the body as an 'inverted lotus'. It does not reside in the heart/cardiac area but it lives somewhere in the diaphragm area.

Before explaining Advitha,visistadvitha,&Dvitha please see the There purushas proclaimed by Lord sri krishna in BHAGAVADGITA 16&17 Shlokas in which there are three purushas namely KSHARA,AKSHARA & PURUSHOTTAMA.Kshara is jeevatma,Akshara is ATMA &Purushottama means Uttama than two purushas Uttama Purusha or Purushottama.When these three are existing why they preached only Paramatma in Advitha and jeevatma, Parmatma in Dvitha?It should be tharaitha only but not one or two.
