    Hi Tee-Jay. I bought the MK2 a few years ago after watching your video and some others. You had a video up describing how to do a system reset but I’’m not seeing it anymore. Is it still up somewhere and I’m just not seeing it? If so would you mind pointing me in the right direction with a link? I love the way this amp sounds but it has had some issues starting within the first year and Mark and the company had all kinds of issues and I could never get any customer service that was of any use. So I’m sorry to bother you but I’m a bit stranded. I put away the amp for about a year but now am interested in getting it working again. Basically the issue is it spontaneously switches back to standby mode and won’t stay on. It’s not in a setting where it could possibly be overhearing so I don’t know what the heck is going on. So I thought I’d try your reset method but need help finding it. Also, I’ve been looking for your store online but am having trouble finding it, too. If you have a website please hip me to that, too. Thank you.

    Those JBL really punch above their price. I had some 570s (midget towers) and they did things to the sound that blew me away at times. But they also were harsh on some songs and one of my tweeters went bad. It was 1.5dB quieter with higher distortion which was very weird. I don't now how I caught that volume difference. JBL was cool though and sent out a new tweeter immediately for free under warranty but I sold them not long later due to having too many speakers.

    YEAH, BUT..... You really probably should be using an active crossover net work. Otherwise, how does the one amplifier know that it is only powering the high frequencies? Do you see it does it know that and so it winds up sending the entire 20 to 20,000 cycles to your high frequency drivers which is just not efficient, and it's very possible that by doing this you will damage those high frequency drivers. Then the same thing can be applied to low frequencies. How does that amplifier section know that it's only running the subwoofers or the low frequencies, you see it doesn't. And so you are sending the full 20 to 20,000 cycles to the low frequency drivers as well. Although the likelihood of damage is much lower fact almost nonexistent, you're still being inefficient. Woofers don't really care to see high frequency power. It's all about efficiency. I think you need to re-examine and reevaluate your set up here, and look into doing a to an active 2-way crossover net work.

    Looks like a mediocre amplifier in a very over the top case. The power into 4 ohms should almost double. If the output voltage is stable, then it would. Of course, it won't get hot with all that heatsinking and relatively low power. Regarding all that capacitance, does he own a cap making factory? After a point, adding extra caps makes almost no difference, looks impressive but in the real world it does not. Most of the cost of that unit is in metalwork. Fine if you think adding cost in that way, makes it sound better. Take away all the pointless caps and over the top metalwork. Half the size, use one transformer with 2 windings, you would an amplifier with almost no audible difference for half the money. Address the issue of power output, why is 4 ohms power so low?? Now that might be a winner.

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 14 днів тому

      It's a negative feedback amp !!!!! Your not getting double the power I am an electronic engeener I know more about Amps than most people ' Caps are not just for stored power they also help with Ripple effect I'd love to see a negative feedback amp that doubles it power in ohms ??? I'll wait

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 14 днів тому

      It's about reliability also ' but all the people at the audio show thought TS-A75 was a 200 watt amp it's not how many watts that matter it's about the quality of those watts that matters !!

    • @MichaelBeeny
      @MichaelBeeny 14 днів тому

      @@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 Negative feedback has nothing to do with power output at different impendences. Almost EVERY amplifier has negative feedback, either voltage or current, or both. Any capacitor obviously stores power, and it will by nature also lowers ripple. After a point adding extra makes so little difference it's almost pointless. But does look good in so called Hi end products. The amplifier puts out a voltage, if that voltage sages the output power will drop. In the real world it always does but in a good amplifier this should be minimal. Hence the power should almost double into 4 ohms. This is important as speakers' impedance varies considerably.

    • @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120
      @tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 14 днів тому

      Again it's quality of watts that matters not how many watts I have a 20 pound emotiva amp rated 150/300watts and it does not come close to the power output of Ts-a75 even my vidar 2 rated at. 100/200 watts does not have the authority of Tsa75 tsa75 controls phase angels and impedence dips very well !!! Even my 52 pound Yamaha AS-1100 rated at 90/150 watts destroys that Emotiva Even my Denon PMA 1700 dual mono high current amp rated at 70/140 watts destroys the Emotiva it's about how well the amp can handle the load variation of impdence and phase angels 😇Over 100 people heard the TS-A75 at Monteral audio show and they thought it was a 200 watt amp it has authority and drive power 'and barley gets warm '
