Hey Tee-Jay I ran across your video, and I've actually watched it a couple of times. I've been looking for a cd player for some time it was between the Denon or a couple of others with your help I pulled the trigger on the Denon, and you were right about it I like it a lot. But then I bought the Modi 3e and man it really did make it that much better! I just wanted to say thanks for your review I really love the set up and your advice was right thanks!

Your very welcome , comments like this keep me going ! The modi 3 opened up the treble clarity up quite a bit huh? 😆
This is why I always roll many dacs with 'digital transports' and you still have use of usb/coax congrats on the combo

Should have just returned the 600NE and added the DAC money to the refund and bought a 900NE alone. The 900NE has the same DAC as the 3e.

Things I forgot to mention ,
I had to do light video edting ,
1st the Denon has Direct mode 1 and 2
Mode 1 pure analog mode 2 pure digital output, both of the direct modes turn the front display off . But theirs also a dimmer for the display .
2nd !!! Please Don't take me comparing a more exspensive Audiolab Cd transport to the budget Denon the wrong way.
    Theirs always something better ,
    Theirs no BEST !

Beautiful CD player a lot of people got to realize one thing it really depends how CDs are recorded not every CD is going to sound great in my opinion usually when they're recorded analog-to-digital they sound pretty good but it's good to check the back of the discs if you can a lot of the older CDs are stamp aad or ADD but some CDs you just recorded not very well and you can tell when you listen to him but I'm like you I like spending the silver disc I don't even have a turntable anymore I just prefer CDs great video man

Outstanding as always Tee-Jay. I bought my first CD player back in 1985 and it was a Denon. It lasted until 2019 and I don't think this model was out yet as I would have considered it. I ended up getting a NAD C 538. If it lasts half as long as the old Denon I'll be happy. Keep up the great work.

@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 As a matter of fact I did. I ran the NAD straight into my vintage Adcom system for quite a while and really liked the sound. I had the Modi in my Schiit stack headphone rig and out of curiosity I tried the NAD into the Modi into the Adcom. I didn't know what to expect but there was a distinct improvement to the sound overall. The Modi cleaned things up nicely. Better dynamics and details. I guess I better start saving up for a Denafrips. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

I own FOUR Sony CDP-CE375 CD changers. I bought one back in the day, and I kept finding them at thrift stores and not being able to not buy them. 2 work perfectly, 2 have problems with the changer mechanism. A CD player playing CD-R's is the only way I have to play my lossless audio files on most of my systems currently. I remember someone making a CD player with a super HQ dac inside that actually had optical/coaxial/usb in. I hate hardwired power cords. The pair of JBL 560p subs I recently bought have hardwired cords even though the 550p cord is detachable. At least the 560p cord is really long.

I have an old basic Denon DVD player, which I purchased brand new many years ago, back in 2008. Back then I was using it for it’s intended purpose, but I recently pulled it back out to use it as a CD player. Unfortunately it doesn’t work well as CD player though. Not very good sound quality, sounds very dull and flat, with no dynamics and no top end shimmer and sparkle, so I took it back out of my HiFi rotation. One of these days, I will get myself a decent CD player, so I can play my 400+ CD’s. Will also be handy for recording from CD to tape, as I have been getting back into making mixtapes, like I did back in the 90’s!
Speaking of CD’s, I still remember the first CD I ever purchased, it’s the single of End of the Road by Boyz ll Men, and I was only 7 years old, back in 1992!
As always, I enjoy watching your videos, keep rockin! 🤘

Why would you attach a "lesser' external DAC(via a toslink) to use with this player which is already using a 32bit internal DAC. It really doesn't matter that the CDs are Mediocrely Recorded at 16bits for non discriminating Popular Recording Artists. More Bit depth does make a difference with some Acoustic Music Genres.
The Disc Spinning Assembly can be easily Damped & there are several other internal parts that can be removed (like unnecessary LEDs) or "Modified"/replaced for less than the extra $$$ spent on other Transports. (Thanks for taking the Lid off.)

Also the Burson OMG !!! Dude you know i love the Aune but to make this easy the Aune has about 35-40 percent of performace compared to the Composer
The Burson is such a badass man I mean this dac took my system to the nexted 'Levels' and Op-amps is so much fun to switch in and out theirs no best opamp just the op-amp you like best in your system !! Me i love the Sparkos SS3602 ohhh my !! But i had to buy 4 of them 'dual descrete' but wow the soundstage instrument seperation is dude end game for me Thomas reviewed the Composer and he done a great Job Thomas has more expierence than me with high end dacs !! And the build quality of burson is outstanding !
Pure aluminum its not to bright its not to layed back 😃 I need to review Huh?
You can also use as preamp and the Composer has balanced XLR outputs /
Preamp Preouts and standard 2.v output

Noel all cd players are gapeless alls gapless means is thers no waiting for the next music track to play.
Gapless only has to do with streaming services, When going from one music track to another music track theirs no gap of seconds (waiting period) between the music tracks

@@tee-jaythestereo-bargainph2120 There used to be many CD players, most much less than $300-$400. There is no way that price point is "budget" simply because it costs less than those that cost more.
And I recommend reading the negative reviews of the 600ne on Amazon.
