Exactly! Does the same as a Jetboil just slightly slower, when I'm out and camping I'm never in a rush so an extra 30sec - 1min isn't a big deal. Especially when I'm used to alcohol stove speeds 😂. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😎

Yeah I think it all comes down to what your looking for in your stove, if it's speed then the Jetboil wins everytime, but for cost I have to give it to the Oex... Plus im unfit so I don't mind the extra minute of sitting to recover 🤣

Me too, but it was 35 years ago using hexi stoves and the shite "waterproof" matches in the rat pack. Nightmare to light and took ages to make a brew. If we had Jetboils back in '88 on Dartmoor life would have been a little more comfortable!

@@StuartThow the thing with the Hiero like the Jetboil it uses less gas as it's so efficient. So waiting a few mins isn't a problem but you do use more gas.

@@JamieHarding5 yeah true no rush it’s a great size for cooking unlike jet boil size but for some reason still like jet boil but never tried oex so shouldn’t complain 😂😂

Yeah it boils in a decent amount of time, certainly quicker than my alcohol stove 😂 I think it's going to be perfect for winter hikes/camps. Thanks for watching Jamie, much appreciated 🙂

Yeah I was a bit disappointed with its performance but I'm not giving up on it just yet, will use it on a few more camps and maybe try some different tabs in it. Yeah I thought it would do better than it did, I was in a nice sheltered area with practically no wind but the midge repellent didn't stop them from coming near me. I will give it another few goes, because even though it didn't get rid of them I only got 1 bite. Don't know if that was just down to luck though! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😊
