amazing video. Thank you for sharing. 👍32
Thanks for watching 😁
Enjoyed this with my burnt crumpets debs xx
Thanks for watching Debs, hope the crumpets were not too burnt. 😂
Great adventure and camping trip Stuart. Incredible scenery and fantastic shots man.
Thank you, I absolutely love this part of Snowdonia. Thanks for watching 😁
Another beautiful Snowdonia camp. Stunning pitch location, surprised how busy you said it was with others looking for pitches as well. I guess it's a popular place all year round.
Thanks Kev, yeah I counted at least 6 groups of people all dotted about. Thankfully from my pitch I couldn't really see or hear anyone. I think if I went back to that spot it would be middle of winter or a mid week camp to avoid the crowds.
@@StuartThow I don't get that in the South Wales Valleys!
@TheWalkingKev I think I need to head down your way for a camp!
Great vid mate. Looked like an awesome spot. To see them base jumps as well must of been mega.
Yeah it was a great camp, base jumpers in the morning were a nice bonus too. Thanks for watching mate, really appreciate it 🙂
Well you are already at your goal of 600 mate! Great content, keep it up!
Yeah I'm amazed at how quick it reached my target, I worked out from previous averages it would be around December. Need to set a new target now 😁
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, really appreciate it 😊
Such a amazing upload man
Thank you 😊
“It’s a tight fit, but I managed to squeeze it in” … 🧐
Oh, the urge to say something ‘unsavoury’ 😅
Trust you 😂😂😂
@@StuartThowOh come on, as if I was gonna leave that, way too tempting! 😶🌫️
🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant ...you said almost perfect ...I say perfect, views to die for ...glad you got the drone going again if only for a while...I can recommend my bed instead of a mat but my hot water bottle burst on it just after Xmas so after a new one myself...parachute ...now you have convinced me camping is a no no😂...great to see you out again and good luck with the subs ...if anyone deserves them it is you and your channel...Cheers Les 🙂👍
The drone was still playing up 😂 I had re installed the app but forgot to log back into it, so it only allowed me to do short clips.
Thanks for the lovely comment Les, really appreciate your support as always, your comments always make me smile.
Good work buddy!
Thanks mate, really enjoyed this camp. Thanks for watching 😊
Lovely location matie. Looked like a nice and peaceful camp.
Re 4 season tents. I recommend the SlingFin Crossbow 2. It's basically the same as my Stone Glacier Skyscraper. It's modular and is a proper tank, but can be converted to a rather lightweight tent if you buy the mesh inner and leave the web truss at home.
Nice video pal.
Thanks for the recommendation, don't know that tent at all so will definitely have a look at it. 👍 😊
Great video stu,i found this video relaxing, and what a spot that is,might have to take a trip there soon 🎉
Yeah it's a great spot, just arrive early or go midweek though. The spot I had was the best one on that part of Y Garn. Such a chilled camp though, really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching 😊
Good morning Stuart.
Great video.
Just found your channel this morning.
I'm camping up there this weekend too. Doing the Welsh 3 peaks tomorrow. Sat a waterfall and another mountain. Sun waterfall + mountain then drive 4 hours back.
Liked and subbed.
I'll follow your journey now.👋
Thank you Jamie, welcome to the channel 😊 Hope you have fun in Snowdonia this weekend, it's an amazing place.
Thanks for watching and the sub, really appreciate it 👍
I think this is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
I love Snowdonia
Thank you for sharing the wonderful scenery!
Thank you watching and leaving a comment, really appreciate it 😊
Get a bivvy bag and a tarp. Go light! That forclaz mat is great. Hard to beat for the price.
I do love the Forclaz mat, I will probably keep trying to get hold of another one.
I have the Alpkit Hunka bivvy bag but found it difficult to get in and out of it due to it not being the XL version, which one do you use?
I have a Rab. Once you're in you're in for the night!
Nice vid that Stu I think your best yet for camera work. Nice chilled banter too. I’ve used 4 season Terra Nova Southern Cross 1 for a few years. Very solid in the wind .Not very roomy but a good sized vestibule. Very easy to pitch. James@ join me outdoors does a good review. I’ve used Soto Windmaster stove for years and it is excellent. Recently I’ve tried out alcohol and gel burners and you right they are slow compared to gas but I do like their simplicity and quietness. Hopefully this crappy wind and rain is leaving us soon. It’s really got me down. I bet it’s our new normal for winter though. Anyhow Atb mate.
Thank you, very kind of you 🙂 Thanks for the tent recommendation too, I will certainly have a look at it.
I think Alcohol stoves are my favourite, purely for how simple they are and I'm never in a rush when on a camp. The bonus is how easy it is to get the fuel, I got fed up with the rising cost of gas and struggled to get hold of them from my local Go Outdoors.
Just got my gear out for Snowdonia too. Been ages! Black special 6 too, leaving the hood at home 😀
Looking forward to watching your video then Chris, love you Snowdonia videos! Yeah I'm not actually sure why I took the hood with me on such a nice day 😂
@@StuartThow It’s bloody awesome in a cold wind. Still not 100% sure if I’m filming it. Haven’t the last couple times. Will see what I feel like in the morning 🤣🤣🤣
That’s a great spot where you were here. Love the views. Quite possibly I’ve been there before, seem to recognise it
Yeah it's a great spot but a little busy at weekends, just wish I could get out more midweek to avoid the crowds.
@@StuartThow I get the opposite, can only do weekdays, can be lonely 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well if I ever get some midweek time off and you ever want someone to tag along on a camp I'd be up for it 😎👍
Hi here I use Amok ul sleeping mat, I tried many of them but this beats all mats. It is so comfortable and made in Norway
Not heard of that one before, will certainly check it out! Thanks for watching and the recommendation 😁👍
Hi, I use an Alpkit whisper insulated mattress and is very comfortable and ideal 3 season.
Thanks for the recommendation, I do like a lot of Alpkit's gear. Do you know what R rating it is?
@@StuartThow 2.5 R rating. I also have a Robens Iceshield 75 which is 4.5 for winter.
@@StuartThow I have their Tetri tent which feels very sturdy and used in torrential rain and winds in Kielder forest. Great tent.
The Tetri does look excellent, looks sturdy and is a good price too! Will add it to my list of potential tents 👍
Nice video from your wild camp 👍🙂
Thank you, very kind of you 🙂
sleep mat wise check out the trekology uL80 great mat very cheap for a mat of that quality £35-£40 descent bit of kit heard a lot of good reviews .enjoyed the camp miss snowdonia hav,nt been up there for yrs have to go back when i get the chance thanks for sharing
Thanks Paul, that Trekology Ul80 looks like a great budget mat. Thanks for watching and the recommendation! 😊
cheers its a good buy thanks
Another top video Stu.👍
Your tent looks nice and spacious. I was also thinking about getting the Vern 1... until I saw those videos where it couldn't handle 35mph gusts. I'll look forward to reading others comments on 4-season tent recommendations.
Cheers for the vid mate.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment mate, I really liked the look of the Vern 1 but I'm not so sure now about its ability to handle the wind.
Put your guyline round your poles in strong wind
Thank you that's a great tip, it was such a good night though with so little wind I think I could have gotten away with not even using a single guyline! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, it's really appreciated 😀
Nice one Stuart. Really enjoyed that, calming and relaxing throughout the video. How do you find the nightcat tents? I’ve only seen a couple of people use them. I also seen the drama on UA-cam about the nortent, I wouldn’t let it put you off. Looking forward to watching the up and coming videos 👍.
Thanks mate, the Nightcat tents are pretty good. This one is slightly heavy at 2.5kg but it's pretty big. Deffo not a winter tent though with the full mesh interior.
Tent wise I'm still tempted with the Nortent but also considering the Fjallraven Absiko Lite 2. Thanks for watching though, really appreciate it 😊
@@StuartThow yea it looks a big enough tent but I don’t mind carrying heavy if your getting more room.
The Abisko looks a great tunnel tent, definitely a hard choice between them two, I would sway towards the tunnel tents.
@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors Yeah I'm leaning more to a tunnel tent for the extra room and wind resistance. I think you can double pole the Abisko lite which would be handy in winter.
Whether do you think to that tent I’ve got the nature hike cloud up one it’s to small
It's a pretty good budget tent, you get a decent amount of space for the money. Its by no means perfect, floor is a bit thin for me, has a full mesh interior and weighs 2.5kg. But it's cheap and quite big, I would also look the Lanshan 2 that they also make, thats lighter and you get tons of space. Another good option is the Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 👍
@@StuartThow thanks il have a look I’m a summer camper so I don’t plan on being in harsh conditions
Subbed
Thanks for the sub, really appreciate it 😊
How heavy was your pack mate
About 15kg but that included about 4 Litres of water, so not too bad really. 🙂
@@StuartThow cheers pal
