I’m hypersensitive, and some of my strongest and earliest phobias are related to anatomy and medical stuffs (vomit, broken bones, and feeling metal/needles under my skin). I was severly bullied for being too sensitive as a kid, and so once I was old enough to be trusted on the Internet alone, I tried to watch some shock content. None of the popular ones, I had no idea how to search for it without risking to be in trouble, so I instead searched for algorithm loopholes on social medias, or posts calling-out specific accounts for posting gore and asking users to mass report. And I would just try to scroll trough it to desensitize myself and not be a cry baby anymore. Later, in my teen years when my mental took a serious turn, it was my way of calming myself. I was so used to contain all my emotions and never show them, but I was going trough things where my emotions where the strongest I ever felt, it was like it needed to explode out of my body without following any laws of physics. And when it was mixed with intrusive thoughts and depersonalization, I started to be terrified of myself. Scrolling trough r/morbidreality or another subreddit full of forensic photos helped it all calm down and put me back in my bubble. I don’t know how it worked exactly, maybe watching human bodies being in states that they aren’t supposed to be in was a placebo to trick the emotions into thinking a physical opening was made in my body ? It’s my main theory because of SH, making an opening in my skin and bleeding felt like draining everything out without letting it explode. But as I said, I’m hypersensitive, which include hypersensitivity to pain. And I have a phobia of feeling stuffs under my skin level. I could only do one superficial cut at a time. And sometimes, it just wasn’t enough. Although I’m not completely desensitized, there are still lots of specific shock content that are too much for me (stuffs involving kids, specific body parts, anything where you can hear the people, etc…), I feel awful. Shock content helped me sometimes, it was my wake up call to realize that I was a bit too optimistic on life. But I was also an undiagnosed and abused child who was promised that the future will be brighter. Today, I kinda view shock content as harm reduction. It may not be a good thing, but sometimes, it’s the least worst you could do. As long as it’s in moderation, it may be a first step to cope out of a harmful situation.

I was traumatized, seriously. But they should be legal websites, there are other ways to protect yourself and others without supressing the open transfer of information online.

I’ve never looked on a gore site (hmm well maybe once) because I know it’ll make me feel terrible, but every once in a while I just have such an impulse to look up accidents or other incidents uncensored. Usually after I see a censored version of something online. I just can’t get it through my head how people die so easily. I don’t get what it looks like I don’t get why XYZ accident/gunshot/stab kills a person. I know the body is fragile, I’m a very safety centered person because I know I’m not invincible but I also just want to understand what kills a person and what happens to a body. It’s weird. I can’t look up things for too long (these days I’ll scroll a nsfw Reddit thread or something) but I’ve been consistently curious about death and the body forever. I do however wish there was like a non-fatal gore(?) site so I could see terrible bodily accidents but without the bad feeling of knowing they died. I love knowing they recover! But I do want to see what happened 🧐

I'm 28 now n I still play my ds. And within recent years I've been searching for my favorite games. I'm a big big fan of human simulation games, roleplaying games, puzzle, adventure, and open world. I remember tomb raider being a really good game as a preteen. But it's so sad searching for good ds games... I have really noticed a huge part of female based games are complete crap.
