I have experience in both games: LoL - 4 years; DOTA - 1 year. If you would ask me about the game, I would prefer I would say - DOTA. Why is it so? 1. Despite being toxic at first glance, DOTA is actually less toxic than LoL. When I used to play LoL, there was a special text script that made automod trigger and punish you after being reported, even though you didn't do anything bad overall; for example, we tested it with my friend - I've created a blank account from the very new PC that had no relation to any Riot games, I levelled it up to 30th lvl and then we both launched the queue and got to play against each other. After winning the match, he reported me for "toxicity", "ruining" and "cheats" using that exact text script. What do u think? I got banned for cheating FOREVER... in DOTA, there's no way to get an autoban cause of the "Overwatch" system. 2. DOTA has less team dependency. To make things simlpe, if you play better than everyone in the lobby, you can carry the game on your own and win it, while LoL has enormous issues with that - if you are not Master - Challenger and are playing just better than everyone in lobby, there are not that many chances to carry 1x9, if your teammate dies few times in the row to the enemy ADC, it's probably GG. 3. DOTA has way more options to counter certain heroes with items, while LoL is mostly about following the same pattern over and over again; it gets even worse cause you can be punished by report system for "buying the wrong items"... 4. DOTA is way more balanced. There are no chars like Master Yi that can easily dive you without being punished. Some people will say:"Wait a bit, but DOTA has Juggernaut - it's the same char as Master Yi", but it's not like that. Chained attack, that both of these chars have, works differently: Juggs "Omnislash"is an ult + it has built-in focus on the creeps and more that a minute cooldown, while Yi's Alpha-Strike is Q-ability, it has lower CD-time and even has a targeted "way-out" after the combo finishes. This means that if Jugg dives, he has to have no creeps around enemy hero to deal enough damage and kill an enemy and can not control his escape-pattern, while Yi can make another try after 20sec(on the 1lvl of Q) and he will likely kill an enemy and escape successfully. And that's just a bit of an example to show how broken the League is. 5. Counter-items. The first and the main is BKB in DOTA - with 90s cooldown, it allows you to evade almost every type of root-spells for 9/8/7/6sec, while in League we have Morgana with 5sec stun that is just crazy + periodic damage of it and the W-spell(sorry, dont remember it's name) - that's just not normal; also, as far as I know, the Quicksilver Belt which used to despell things like Mordekaiser ult is now nerfed and doesn't have this option anymore, while in DOTA there's Linken Sphere or Lotus Orb to counted targeted spells; to counter orbs you can buy Orchid Malevolence, and there's much more options. Here's my take on this: League of Legends have champions with a dedicated specific role with optimal builds and skills that augment and strengthen that said role. Janna is a strong CC support with plenty of knock ups, some healing and soft dmg, and Jinx is an ADC with either fast firing or big hits with some utility mainly to extend her ability to keep hitting the enemy. Their itemization only usually extend to strengthen and solidify their playstyle. Dota 2, on the other hand, have heroes with a set of skills that usually lean on to a specific role, but are flexible enough to be able to do other roles. Lion is a good strong CC support but also has one of the most lethal OHKO ultimates in the game, enabling a more damaging role, and Lina is a Mage with plenty of strong spells and abilities but also has the ability to just change to a hybrid Spellcaster ADC. Their itemization can vary wildly, ranging from ADC Io (Who is a support btw) to Mage Shadow Fiend (His attack dmg gets stronger if he kills creeps or heroes, and loses half of that buff on death, but he also has some pretty strong skills that can nuke people unexpectedly).

My take on this To be a pro in lol you just need pure skill , and team work other is fix you have no control To be a pro in dota you need Team work Skill Strategy Deep map understanding Hero counter Item effect (some item completely change you hero role)
Played too differently to be a tutorial. Try going from LoL to Dota and you'll feel bad for expecting it to be the same. The only saving grace for me is I played and learned both simultaneously when I started so I don't have that problem
Dota has its special feeling. Huge ass map, lots of jungle camps, all kinds of strategies, meta can drasticly change, items are actually do a lot. Also camp stacking, farm optimizing, useful cheap consumable items. Nothing is streamlined. Counterpicks are actually a thing. But if you want a quick moba match, you cant beat league. Just fire it up, bust some asses without having to focus on denying lane creeps. Lol kidding, you get salty playing either.
You are very wrong when you say that there are no counter picks in LoL or that you can't get into a situation where you won't even be allowed to get exp. In my understanding, LoL is more dependent on counter picks, while in Dota pro players pick characters blindly just to better understand how to play in uncomfortable conditions.

In dota you have creep equilibrium, lane control, camp stack mechanics, comeback mechanics , power spikes and tons more of things that actually make you to think several times before doing whatsoever. One kill can turn the game around. 80% is not even present in league. The creeps in league are basically put there to give you what to click until you can one shot everything with you Q.
bullshit take. creepwave control exists in League as well, it's just that it is expressed differently than in dota. the nature of the game gives rise to new ways of wave state manipulation and timings which aren't present in Dota. because unlike Dota, league is much more timing reliant. to play well you have to do things as perfectly as you can by the second. there are a lot less resources on the map and a lot less comeback mechanics, so you need to take every opportunity possible. this is what league is truly about, perfect execution. in this sense dota is much easier. stacking waves, setting up a slow push, harassing your lane opponent are all parts of wave manipulation. just because the action itself seems simple doesn't mean it isn't complex in execution and results. the fundamental nature of both games are different, it is silly to compare them in such sense because of this harsh resource lacking environment, getting a single kill on your lane opponent in the first 2 minutes of the game can set you up for a winning lane. is this not having one kill turn the game around? it is much less present in dota, a single kill early game gives you nothing but FB money. power spikes are much more important in league. even creeps having much less TTK makes sense and is important for the nature of the game you have no clue what you are talking about
@@abogmus8904 I don't understand how you fail to see that your arguments basically touched exactly what I said. For one thing you are right. The two games have really little in common. Dota requires a lot more knowledge to win and to be consistent with patterns throughout all the stages of the game. One wrong team fight can loose you the game. That's what I meant... I definitely have a clue what I'm talking about, because I have played those games since the concept was born in Starcraft. If you truly wanna compare both games bring two pro games and compare. I get your point that you have to do your stuff perfect until mid game, but its just that. Nothing else - a spam/dodge. In everything you mentioned is applicable in dota, but on much higher level, because the game offers much more variety of actions and executions. One wrong team fight can cost you the whole game. No matter that you had that "one" kill in the lane. That was my point. You even said it better than me.. "do well 10 mins" and it turns into queue simulator.
@YavorDanov I've played both and it boils down to LoL being too fast and Dota being too slow. Don't make it complicated. It's true that Dota is more complicated mechanically but just like what in the video say , the draft alone can show the results of the game and it doesn't help that you need to know much more for a sliver of chance of winning , it's a slow torture and it have the sam problem as LoL by giving you randos as team mate but because of this complicated mechanics there's a lot more of options for turning games around which for me is it's greatest feature. While in LoL everything that make Dota complicated is trimmed down to it's most basic so that you can focus on what's important. WINNING. That's why your errors are more punishable the game is too fast, if your out of comission for 30 seconds that's 30 seconds of of your enemy free farming atleast 2 waves, turret platings , and helping the jg for objectives and where not counting you walking back in lane. While in Dota losing a team fight lose the game in LoL just dying can lose you a game not even a team fight since in the end of the day 5 players will most likely win against 4. Love both though but it's really just simple LoL is fast and Dota is slow and that's not bad.

@@mr.q337 lane creep manipulation has nothing to do with juking. there is terrain blocking in league. miss chance on high ground is only ever noticeable when playing mid. it also artificially increaces the hp of t3 towers, it's intentional. jungle is fundamentally different in both games no point to compare terrain can be created and there are actually more champions in league which manipulate terrain than there are in dota. trees can't be placed because they don't exist and you know it, why even mention. but terrain manipulation is there and much more prevalent than in dota cliffing someone requires either the person being cliffed to be retarded or for you to pick lane heroes specifically to cliff someone, like tiny+magnus, which is practically griefing yourself because you dedicate so much resources and time to fucking up one player (most likely support) while the other guy gets free farm. it's such a rare and niche thing to happen idk why you bother to mention it

The way i like to explain it is dota is like snooker, league is like pool
I played League from time to time but as a Dota player since 2010, I feel like League is so bland. I play Dota as a game that I enjoy, I play League when I'm drunk. I become tilted or happy when I play Dota. League doesn't effect me in any way, that's how I differentiate 😂
good content man, keep it up! :)
I love your editing bro!
Hit immortal in dota after 5k hours and am now in the process of learning league been having a blast so far.
what you gonna do with your afternoon then?
One is just people think about the short term and one is just people who can think in the long term of a game.
As a Dota Mid-laner myself, I can 100% Agree with mid-laners being super Narcist and Egoistic, Especially the people who play Spirit Hero's, Those assholes think they are better xd
Depth in Dota is exhilarating
dota existed before Pendragon left the team and copied the idea to make League, thats the difference
Back in the day when I worked as assistant manager for start up esports team. Took us 2 months of scrims 24/7 to decide who will be lined up for dota 2 roster, and only take 1-2 heroes/games per role to decide for lol.
If dota and lol start a war dota will use war strategy while lol using power ranger strategy.
It would feel like like Dota army was commanded by some nerd calculating math in the base while lol army was commanded by an actual war general on the field.
@@ancy1205 "Actual War General". Hah. Nice joke.
@@melonelon7590 I mean there's a reason why Lol number of player as well as the pros scene absolutely destroyed Dota even though it was born later than Dota.
@@ancy1205 cuz it is more accecibly and "easier to learn", not talking about good or bad, just talking u need more effort on your pc, and on your knowledge curve to learn dota 2, than u need on LOL, and that can be good or bad, if u a guy who dont wanna put much effort on playing a game giving ur life to it go play lol, if u want to dedicate ur life trying to look cool and talk like u superior go play dota.
@@leonardosantos9451 yet, people also spend more money on lol scene paying plarlyer decently well by just playing, not just to win like in Dota.
You think people would pay you that well if playing it is easy on the ceiling level?
you got me there on part 2 hahaha clever! great way to explain it
I would like to play LoL classic, right after Pantheon and Gragas got released. Back before this was anime simulator of dashes and jumps
THIIIISS 100%
Here's my take on this:
League of Legends have champions with a dedicated specific role with optimal builds and skills that augment and strengthen that said role.
Their itemization can vary wildly, ranging from ADC Io (Who is a support btw) to Mage Shadow Fiend (His attack dmg gets stronger if he kills creeps or heroes, and loses half of that buff on death, but he also has some pretty strong skills that can nuke people unexpectedly).
your content is jus ttoo good
You stopped us on "Anyone of your teammates can use it when it's not on cooldown". That is a great timing because that is part where the most BS teammate appear when they wanna lose and the bitterness of it, anyone but the teammate who pressed glyph didn't know who sabotaged the game
Weirdly i rarely see glyph griefing. I think i saw it twice since beta. Granted i dont play ranked and my behaviour score is maxed so encountering a troll is rare.
The best thing I can describe League and Dota is like operating a Car, one makes you relied on a GPS tech like Tesla the other is much manual. In both ways you can go right and wrong with it.
My take on this
To be a pro in lol
you just need pure skill , and team work
other is fix you have no control
To be a pro in dota you need
Team work
Skill
Strategy
Deep map understanding
Hero counter
Item effect (some item completely change you hero role)
Nicely made 😄 keep it up
LoL is the tutorial for DotA. People who play extensively in tutorials have questionable life choices. Those who play DotA are masochists.
3:45 As someone who plays both games (and depends on friends), this is too accurate, haha.
Dota is just better.
Heroes of Order and Chaos…
That was a game. Missed it ever since 2014
Viper, the terror of legends or lower medals
or huskar players
I hope your PC gets better, waiting for part 2
3:30 No slark 4 and rubick mid?
play both daily during highschool (both competitively) now I'm just playing custom game with my friends. I just want to enjoy life and suffer a bit
Everything is possible in dota
Every MOBA i know Uses the Logo of DOTA for their map.
Next year, those Nexus turrets will respawn
DOTA > LOL, nuffsaid
LoL is the tutorial of dota2
Played too differently to be a tutorial. Try going from LoL to Dota and you'll feel bad for expecting it to be the same. The only saving grace for me is I played and learned both simultaneously when I started so I don't have that problem
you didn;t mention day and night and vision and missing chance and runes and ....
mechanics ?

Just a recomendation, jokes are fine, but shorter jokes are better
4:16 Nah, I'd Nyx
Lol just tutorial Aiming and timing for dota 2
there are two different support roles.
Veno lvl 1 jungle brr brr brrrrrrr idc about my offlaner 😂
Great video 🎉
Dota has its special feeling. Huge ass map, lots of jungle camps, all kinds of strategies, meta can drasticly change, items are actually do a lot. Also camp stacking, farm optimizing, useful cheap consumable items. Nothing is streamlined. Counterpicks are actually a thing. But if you want a quick moba match, you cant beat league. Just fire it up, bust some asses without having to focus on denying lane creeps. Lol kidding, you get salty playing either.
07:55 next season they can respawn like inhibitors
You are very wrong when you say that there are no counter picks in LoL or that you can't get into a situation where you won't even be allowed to get exp.
In my understanding, LoL is more dependent on counter picks, while in Dota pro players pick characters blindly just to better understand how to play in uncomfortable conditions.
watch tdy liquid vs flcn game more 70% of dota is in there.its best game this year❤🔥❤🔥
the creator of LOL create it because they cannot handle the dota1 game mecanic and make it simplify! yes simplify! buy item aprear in your inventory instanst what!!, the creator of LOL play DOTA(warcrafIII).. dota2 create it with the same game mecanic from dota1. so it carry the game hard games mecanic with out making it simplify..
Not much flame here.
Good video

In dota you have creep equilibrium, lane control, camp stack mechanics, comeback mechanics , power spikes and tons more of things that actually make you to think several times before doing whatsoever. One kill can turn the game around. 80% is not even present in league. The creeps in league are basically put there to give you what to click until you can one shot everything with you Q.
bullshit take. creepwave control exists in League as well, it's just that it is expressed differently than in dota. the nature of the game gives rise to new ways of wave state manipulation and timings which aren't present in Dota.
because unlike Dota, league is much more timing reliant. to play well you have to do things as perfectly as you can by the second. there are a lot less resources on the map and a lot less comeback mechanics, so you need to take every opportunity possible. this is what league is truly about, perfect execution. in this sense dota is much easier.
stacking waves, setting up a slow push, harassing your lane opponent are all parts of wave manipulation. just because the action itself seems simple doesn't mean it isn't complex in execution and results. the fundamental nature of both games are different, it is silly to compare them in such sense
because of this harsh resource lacking environment, getting a single kill on your lane opponent in the first 2 minutes of the game can set you up for a winning lane. is this not having one kill turn the game around? it is much less present in dota, a single kill early game gives you nothing but FB money. power spikes are much more important in league. even creeps having much less TTK makes sense and is important for the nature of the game
you have no clue what you are talking about
@@abogmus8904 I don't understand how you fail to see that your arguments basically touched exactly what I said.
@@minnelcandelario6893 Dota is indeed slow paste game. Its a bit like a turn based game Moba. Thats why to climb the ranks you need to build up mentality for it. Some games that move more than 45min feel like a torture. But the truth is thats not teh real issue with the game. Sadly the most problematic things are not connected to the gameplay.
@YavorDanov i did say it's not really bad it always have been preference. Some people just can't commit for a 45-60 minutes game because they do have life outside playing. It just gets worst if you lose
Ive played LoL for like 2 months now.. basically the same if you play Dota first.. but im pretty sure will be a lot harder if u play LoL first then move to Dota..
1. LoL hero is not free.. dota free
2. There r more active item in dota and consumable..
3. Teleportation in LoL is just to base and u dont need to buy item for that.. not even mana.. in Dota u have to buy it and there is mana.. but i can tp to another structure own by team.. and upgradble..
4. Too Many mechanical thingy in dota.. attack animation, casting time, etc.. in LoL its strigforward.. if u hit and enemy is in range hero just hit.. no cancel animation..
5. I love bushes in LoL.. im excited naybe because im still new but its a really good implementation.. evading gank.. ganking.. helping teammate in bush 😊😊
5. Highground.. another technicality that add another mechanic like evasion, vision range etc..
Hmmm and last one is LoL is feels like turbo mode in Dota.. at least for me it is.. even ranked feels too fast.. support is not even suffer for lack of money that much.. i play blitzcrank so much and the assist gold is massive i guess.. i dont learn that deep about money yet actually so it just what i felt playing LoL
good content, kinda
As mid laner
Im better than all of you
LOL will never understand concept of juking =))) Dota map is much more interactable. High Ground, trees, terrain...etc.
obviously you've never seen the bullshit people do with terrain and bushes in League.
@@abogmus8904 Enlighten me then. Can LoL put down tree to block vision? Use trees to trap heroes? Push/Hook heroes up the warding spot to trap them? Shooting up high ground reduce accuracy? Creep block? Creep pulling/jungle pull/ stacking jungle camp? Hell even Roshan can be tame also they patched it =)))
It's just not on the same level.
@@mr.q337 lane creep manipulation has nothing to do with juking. there is terrain blocking in league. miss chance on high ground is only ever noticeable when playing mid. it also artificially increaces the hp of t3 towers, it's intentional.
jungle is fundamentally different in both games no point to compare
terrain can be created and there are actually more champions in league which manipulate terrain than there are in dota. trees can't be placed because they don't exist and you know it, why even mention. but terrain manipulation is there and much more prevalent than in dota
cliffing someone requires either the person being cliffed to be retarded or for you to pick lane heroes specifically to cliff someone, like tiny+magnus, which is practically griefing yourself because you dedicate so much resources and time to fucking up one player (most likely support) while the other guy gets free farm. it's such a rare and niche thing to happen idk why you bother to mention it
Nisha pick viper against sumail MK in esl bangkok, pure trash
