2024 GMC Sierra Elevation 3.0L Duramax Review | 3000 Miles and 3 Months In
In this video I review a 2024 GM2 Sierra 1500 Elevation with the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine. This 2024 GMC Sierra is equipped with the max trailering package and can tow 13,000 pounds.
We've had this truck for 3 months now and discuss how the first 3000 miles have shaped up. We discuss the exterior of the 2024 GMC Sierra and the interior of the 2024 GMC Sierra, it's upgraded infotainment system and some of the first upgrades we've done to the 2024 GMC Sierra.
Once the sun goes down, I show you what the lighting package entails and walk you through some of our favorite features and discuss any problems we've had in the first 3000 miles.

The new trucks, even base models come well appointed with creature comforts: some very useful and some a marketing ploy. For me personally, I like the thought of the diesel but since I don’t tow often enough I could never justify the initial cost differential. The MPG is great but it would take a long time to recoup that cost especially with the increased cost per gallon. I have to admit a bit of the “wants” came up trying to move into the “needs” category but our old girls are servicing us just fine. I can’t 24:53 imagine trying to work on those new trucks! One thing I will say about the sacred oil change intervals…get an oil analysis now to tell you when to change them…our CRV’s both have over 250k miles and we can go about 7500 miles easily and the oils according to labs…look good. Newer engines have got to run better than 20+ year old ones. Good video

Good insight! The Duramax option adds $2,390 to the sticker. Between fuel saving (there is some for now in my area) fewer trips to the pump, and the longer standard warranty, seems a decent ROI if the longevity is there. I've always erred on the side of too frequent of oil changes to help me sleep better at night.

A couple of thoughts and/or observations. From the side view you weren’t kidding about the low hanging hydraulics; can those be wrapped up any way to protect them better if you go over something? Secondly, were you in 4 wheel assist? You could see the back wheel spin but not the front. Small blade…….. why? Look you don’t have to have the blade full of snow when moving snow! Many times I would only use half of the blade while moving snow but I’m able to avoid have to be at the edge of the shoulder of the road thus avoiding too being to close to the edge of the road!

I'd have a lot more passes (time) if I wasn't able to clear 5' at a time. I get what you're saying though!

Greetings from North Wilkesboro, N.C., about five mile from the speedway. You have a pretty piece of property there. How you fixed for irrigation? We're in the foothills here, so our garden is relatively small, but we have plenty of water available from several creeks that run through. I've been researching that Earthquake tiller, like you did. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger, considering it's 99cc motor and the price, which is cheap compared to others. Happy growing!

Thanks! We've got a substantial brook that runs through our land, as well as a pond, but we have the barn plumbed from our wellal about 100 yards away. Makes gardening pretty simple.

Nice. Our garden hose runs about 200 feet downhill from our well. We also have a tub that catches rain water. Rains quite a bit around here, though, so we don't need to do too much watering. Fact is, this year I haven't had to water at all in August so far.

This is the Poulan Pro PP4000C. The amazon link I used in 2022 says they're sold out... Good luck on your search!

Hello ! Unfortunately, the technique with the box blade digs the trails which become places of discharge of rainwater. I did the same thing at the beginning of the year, some places of the trails being lower, they became full of mud, impassable after a rain. Yves, Sainte-Adele, Quebec, Canada

@yvescayer2449 Very good point! Many of our trails built in this manner or by a skidder are a mess in the springtime. Our soils/ topography/ climate really only make it an issue in late April.
