Miroku SP120 President Eastfield Gunroom review

In this review Matthew takes a look at yet another gun from Mirokus sublime President range. The SP120 was a great example of Mirokus ability to produce a largely hand finished custom model. Despite only being produced in very small numbers this model alongside the SP100 struggled to sell here in the UK due to them being very expensive at a time where premium models from the other big 'B' brand...

Another classic semi auto goes under the spotlight in this weeks video. A rare offering from those maestros of gas operation....Beretta. A lovely untouched example that has seen virtually no use. A nice upgrade from it's standard model counterpart with some nice subtle blingy bits and a gun that can still stand up to many current semi autos that are being produced in 2024. Yet another sensation...

Browning or Beretta? Browning B80 Eastfield Gunroom review
Hi Matt great episode. How much should you expect to pay for a stock conversion in your other episodes to an adjustable? Say on a full size silver pigeon 1 or a MK38?
Éste modelo tiene contrapesos como la versión black?, y cuál es su precio de referencia? Muchas gracias
Can the trap edition with fixed chokes shoot steel shot 24 gr shells ?
Brilliant presentation Matt, invaluable info for the shooter that is relatively new to buying shotguns. I was just going to add that it's a good idea to give the gun a good waggle with the forend removed to check for lateral play......but i see it has already been mentioned..... so i won't!😁 Keep these vids rolling mate, take care. 👍
Once again, a top notch video from an expert. Matt, you always have great content. Thanks.
Well done video, much better than the TSC one using paper cones. IMOP aftermarket extended chokes are a gimmick to sell products. I myself use two U1's for all clay disciplines in 12ga or Comp-n-choke IC in 20ga. I do change shot size depending on distance.
Well described mate 👌 best man in the industry 👌👌
First class information Matt, Well explained
HI MATT, great review, where does 3/8 ( my favorite for clays) 5/8 7/8 fit in?
3/8 & 3/8 with 30 or 32g 5 or 6 shot chokes for pigeon decoying, and same for roosting but a 32g 5 or 4 shot seems to work best for me.
Hi Matt - as someone new to the sport of clay shooting I found this very useful. Thank you.
Great video as usual. I have skeet chokes that are more open than cylinder, would be good to cover cartridge and shot size to compare range and spread
👌
Another great video Matt. I normally shoot 1/4 & 1/4 for everything. On a Driven Game day if I were to shoot 1/2 & 1/4 would you shoot the 1/2 first and the 1/4 second on the basis that the second shot will be overhead?
The choke debate is the one aspect of shotgun shooting (clays or game) that is discussed (argued) the most in my opinion. Obviously everyone has opinions on which gun is best but then comes the big choke debate. There are some clay shooters that change chokes on pretty much every stand and some that just wack imp/cyl and mod in and forget other constrictions. My humble opinion is a modified choke will deal with 99.9% of target presentations in a round of ESP. Anyway Matt, you've knocked this presentation right out the park, your advise will be invaluable to the newbie, they'll not go far wrong if they follow this video. Top man with top advise.
When you say you start with 400 pellets and at 30 yards you have X number remaining in your pattern depending on the choke used, what diameter pattern is assumed?
I have a 9000v . Grade 5 wood. Fantastic thing. So much so I won the club today with it. 30 inch barrels and extended chokes. Love it.
Thank you for your comment. These are lovely guns. Kind regards, Matthew
Congratulations Matthew you have actually given a first class explanation of chokes 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Not an easy subject to explain. Kind regards, Matthew
You go on about game guns AYA use to choke there guns at half and full my personal choice is 3/8 or 1/2 for my autos my O/U has a pair of 3/8s and I’ve yet to bother going any tighter I’d happily use 1/4 on most sporting and compact sporting layouts
Thank you for your comment. Agree that most side by sides (particularly Spanish) were choked full and half. Beretta and Browning (for the most part) have always been 1/4 and 1/2 and 1/4 3/4 respectively. Completely agree with your sentiments on 3/8's choke. Kind regards, Matthew
Another belter Matt 👍
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Kind regards, Matthew
Great video and explanation for beginners as well as experienced shooters. To many shooters suffer from "paralysis by analysis" due to interviews touting "tighter chokes for better breaks". At the end of the day, it all comes down to the number of X's versus O's on your score card. There is no Olympic grading system on target breaks! My heart is broken for Amber but I will guarantee she will not be changing choke size due to the horrible miscall she got in the Olympics. The advice I give to new sporting clay shooters is use LM (3/8) or M (1/2) in most applications out to 50 yds and to concentrate more on target speed, line and distance!
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Agree completely about poor Amber Rutter but the way that she handled herself in the situation was first class and it was a great performance regardless of the referees huge error. Kind regards, Matthew
Would that be a 30” diameter at 30yds?
"Great Video... God bless you!"
first class well explained, but then that's why we watch one of the most knowledgeable guys on UA-cam
Thank you for your comment and kind words. I do try my best 😊. Kind regards, Matthew
Excellent video Matt well explained easy to follow.
Thank you for your comment.I am pleased that you didn't find it too bamboozling. Kind regards, Matthew
1963 the first Remi 1100 ,me dad bought one spun new ,it was state of the art then .the first gun I shot been hooked ever since.😁
I’m looking for a left handed semi auto new or second hand Can you help ?
Thank you for your comment. Please contact me directly matt@eastfield.group. Kind regards, Matthew
Browning XS & XT the best there is
Just got mine this summer, love it very comfortable to shoot. Love to see a review not too much info out there.
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. Kind regards, Matthew
Barrel length on the Beretta pls.....
Thank you for your comment. I am pretty sure that I mentioned that both guns were 30 inch versions in the video but incase of that omission, 30" barrels on both. Kind regards, Matthew
Never seen one of those but quite like it. Thanks
DT11보다 나무재질이나 쇠재질이 좀 안좋아 보이네요ㅋㅇㅋ 9:22
ive owned one of these. Worst gun purchase ever made! the rib is floppy, the adjustable cheek piece does exactly what is says....it adjusts after a few shells put through it. it shoots flat as a pancake and overall finish is horrible. its a shame because 10ft away it looks good if you want a kriegoff look a like that performs subpar, why not.
Why would most traditional SXS potentially have an issue with steel shot? Standard steel cartridges can be used in any gun that is nitro proofed. It is only high pressure steel cartridges that will be an issue and who would be using heavy wildfowling cartridges through a light SXS? I really do not understand why this steel shot narrative is so unnecessarily negative. Traditional guns have a good future after steel!
Looks like a really nice gun, how secure is that rib pin?
Thank you for your comment. All seemed nice and solid to me. Kind regards, Matthew
Buenas noches,la versión de 73 cm de caño choques moviles ,18,6 de barrenado y contrapesos como la Dt11 black es la versión skeet? Muchas gracias
Muy elegante arma amigos saludos belleza 🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨
Another great review Matt what you have to pay for a right handed version as that’s a gun that’s definitely worth putting in the cabinet 💥
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. A very good gun for the price yes. Kind regards, Matthew
Great videos! But how bout a nice Rizzini review please
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. I will add your request to the list. Kind regards, Matthew
The Rib doesn't move at all? I've saw some of them where the rib is just moving from right to left
now that would be really useful, to help people with wonky eyes!😵💫
On mine the rib has no play at the attachment points. It is a bit springy in the middle if you grab the gun by the rib and barrels, but shouldn't effect POI.
Thank you for your comment. The rib is fixed on this model. Kind regards, Matthew
Intresting? Nice gun. Good review👍
It's funny that you say that Beretta takes years of R&D to release something so it's done properly yet they have released a bunch of flops and lemons to the market like the UGB25, 690/692, and SV10.
Thank you for your comment. I am not sure that many people would consider the 690/692 a lemon (granted there were teething problems) particularly as the the base of that platform still exists in the form of the 694. The SV10 saw the birth of Optima HP chokes in Berettas O/U range so lots of thought and development there. As for the UGB I admit there were more issues than there should have been. Kind regards, Matthew
What on earth is your left hand doing with the fore end?
Thank you for your comment. Not quite sure what you mean. I believe it is just the way I am presenting the gun for the camera. Kind regards, Matthew
You have been watching Taryl fixes all! on UA-cam
Wish I’d pulled the hammer on a Garbi two decades ago when cost of living and salary were a little more inline with each other 👍🏼
Thank you for your comment. Kind regards, Matthew
Throughly enjoyed again, keep these coming , love them.
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. Lots more to come so stay tuned. Kind regards, Matthew
Great videos, really very informative, one small problem, I wanted to purchase something from them, I called four times, they don’t answer the phone, I went and bought it from another dealer, what a shame, all that work giving me the information that I needed to make a purchase and I bought it somewhere else , you’ve done another dealer a great service with your informative videos !
Thank you for your comment although I am puzzled by its content. Please can you send me an email and explain when and what you you tried to call about. We have had some phone line issues and email is sometimes best as a point of contact matt@eastfield.group. Kind regards, Matthew
A dealer told me today this was discontinued here in the US due to reliability issues. I've got an A400 12ga extreme, never had an issue. This is the least reliable gun I've ever owned. Loved the way it shot though, didn't love the way it refused to cycle.
Thank you for your comment. Surprising though as I have never heard of such issues here. Kind regards, Matthew
Had one ...stock was a little plain...but , everything about it felt just right....remember standing it in the corner , and looking at it ...beautiful gun
Thank you for your comment. Kind regards, Matthew
