Following on from the 9000 model that we reviewed a while back we take a look at an MK10 in trap specification. Matthew explains the differences between this and the standard UK spec guns and what he feels those features offer to the shooter.

Although not a big fan of adjustable combs, it is a beautiful gun!
Very thorough review, I was told Australian's have had big input into Miroku models ie MK10, mainly stock shape on newer models.
Miroku o/u are competitively priced and have a big slice of the market, especially compared to Euro guns.
A newer shooter can buy a gun with all the features to compete competitively a reasonable price.
With an adjustable comb and correct LOP a MK10 trap can be used for sporting and social skeet.

My mate was always running over seahorses on his Grifter when he lived in Oz. Had to take his Spokey Dokeys off as they were getting smelly.

Thank you for your comment. As I said in the video it is a common problem in Oz. I understand that in order to combat the issue they are using deeper tread tyres to give the seahorses a fighting chance 😂. Kind regards, Matthew
Interesting... Overall, I like all aspects of the MK10 trap spec. Whatever brand badge is presented, the model is a certified clay basher. Having an airline case was to me a very nice touch. A lot of folks in the US replace their ABS cases with something similar to what was shown anyway. The engraving... I'm not sure whether it is to Aussie taste or it's just "something is better than nothing" but I am not a fan. To me, it looks like something you would see on a cheaper Italian or Turkish gun. Modern Browning Citori low grade trap variants in the US have a plain action save for the obligatory "Citori" engraved in cursive on the side. Great video and thank you for sharing firearms that some of us would have never known existed!

that is a good looking (apart from the bike spoked sea horses !! ) gun, I am not sure why there are so many differences between Miroku;s sold in different country's, I see no reason that gun would not sell just as well in the UK (apart from the engraving)

Browning is by far and large the dominant brand in Uk, here in Aus good luck seeing 1 browning per 10 Miroku's, i'd argue browning won't allow the Mk10 in UK as it would kill the 525 range sales
Would love to hear your take on why Browning puts porting and a gloss finish on the American guns and your models have a much more attractive oil finish and none of that deal breaking porting. If Browning would stop that nobody in America would buy the Beretta in the sub 5k market

Given all the extras are Australian Miroku’s more expensive than their Uk cousins? And are Browning as big in Australia as they are in the UK?

You can buy a grade 3 Mk10 competiton sporter for 2,700 aus, cheaper than a base model 686, a standard 525 costs about 2,400, Miorku is by far the dominant clay shooting gun here
